Thanks for watching, and thanks especially for leaving feedback! This was a really fun video to research and present, so I will probably turn it into a series!
I'm working on a similar project, about 50 woods, mostly burls and exotics, for 50 slimline pens. So far they're all drilled and tubed, I just have to find time to turn them. The idea is to make a series talking about the various woods. Absolutely you should do it. People like learning stuff. 👨🎓👩🎓
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah there comes a point where just solid straight grained hardwoods start to get boring, so burls and exotics and segmenting is a fun way to switch it up some!
@@WoodenLegWoodworking One benefit of turning pens is they don't require much material. Thus, I can totally blow my monthly budget on exotic woods from far away places. At least that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it. 😊
Knots in a tree chased by a squirrel and every once in a while have a squirrel sitting around your shop somewhere not necessarily a live one but you know a good replica
I was kinda hoping you'd forget about that. I didn't know I was going to get tricked into making 3 massive tables. Just like how how ridiculous did it, 10 in November is just not gonna happen
Definitely think learning about different woods is very interesting. Learning by watching you turn pens would be great. Thanks for sharing.
