This is not braid-related. Just wondering if you've ever done a wet set on old-fashioned magnetic rollers. When my hair was long, it worked beautifully on my fine, high porosity, low density hair. I didn't go over it with a heat styler at all and it came out bouncy with good body. Also, Paul Mitchell The Conditioner is my best friend as well.
