Thanks! I forgot that I set these up to go live starting on Memorial Day. It’ll be nice to have these back on the channel, but I’m sure it’ll be confusing as I have new videos in the works as well.

Fellow FTM-400xdr user here and just got my first Wrangler. I'm still a bit unsure of how you mounted both the body of the radio and control head, specifically the details of the mount you just installed here. What mount? What arms? Where's the new cable routed? I had originally planned to do the molle panel install that Casey 250 showcased a while back, but this looks even simpler. Could you also maybe talk about the antenna mount? I was at Dayton and both Comet and Diamond discouraged using the trunk lip mount due to hood flex, so I'm back to square one for antennas. I'd be real grateful if you could do an in-depth video at some point on this topic. Please and thanks. 73 de W2IRT
Love these questions. I am changing the way I’m installing the radio on my Gladiator. It will be under the driver seat and I’ll use the antenna mount from American Adventure Labs.
I need to find some time away from the kiddo to get the new radio installed on the Gladiator.
@@JustinBMcBride When you do get around to it, I'd wager a *lot* of ham/overlanders like you and I would benefit greatly from an in-depth delve into the process. The thing with the FTM-400 is you also need access to the SD card slot to change the programming easily, so mounting it in some inaccessible location would be a Bad Thing. It's under the seat of my Grand Cherokee at the moment, but I'm hoping to move it to my JLUR next month before my first long camping trip.
What ham radio are you using?
Yaesu FTM-400XDR, but there is a new 500 that replaced it and is 100% worth looking into.

I actually miss Cool Rick! Major Tom was dope as well. They both fit you a little better than the gladiator IMO, but you know what's best for Justin and your content is still awesome. CONGRATS ON THE BABY MAN!!!! 🤛🏾

What do you like better your gladiator or wrangler ?
Good question. I love the camper on the Gladiator. I don’t think I could ever go back to an SUV because of it. That said, the Ursa Minor on a Wrangler is the bees knees.
Had me confused for a minute not realizing this is a re-release, since EE has the dash mount for the JL-JTs now. 👍🏻
