- The Jeep you see in this video has been our home for the past month (Yes! We’ve been living in our Jeep Wrangler full-time).
Aldo and I (Darsh) have always been obsessed with the idea of tiny living, van life, over-landing and the minimalist lifestyle. So naturally when it came time for us to move out of the studio we have been living in for the past 2 years, we thought why not try living out of our 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL. So after a quick call to our landlord, one month of hard work, getting rid of almost everything we’ve accumulated in the past few years and 10 billion trips to Home Depot, our home on wheels was finally ready. We've been living out of it for little over a month now and it has been fun (more on that later 😉). we don’t know where we’ll go from here but we know we make the rules and there’s lots of room for adventure.

PS: Our parents still think we live in a static home. Let’s keep it that way ok!

Extremely creative uses of space here... thank you for sharing. I'm still in between a jeep and a tundra for stealth camp/overland/rock crawl aio. You've helped me to reconcile some of the perceived space discrepancies.
You both made a REALLY cool build. I’m planning on getting a JKU and figuring out how to get a decent amount of storage, accommodate sitting up in the back and sleeping! I’m really excited to do some off-roading and hopefully can make something for full time living. Luckily I already prepped my mom before venturing out. It’ll be me alone in the Jeep but my sister is doing a van build. If you all show the details of the platform I’d definitely watch it! Thanks for sharing!

Got half the money already. Just a little bit more to go. Just dont know if i want the 2 door or 4 door sport for camping and traveling.
It all comes down to the feel of it to you, drive a 2 door and the drive the 4 door. Do you want that extra inside space or do you like how the 2 door is a little more peppy. No eco-diesel if you live in California tho, expensive up keep
I strongly recommend a 4 door. The platform has a better wheelbase for 95% of terrain and a better ride. You never have enough (sheltered) room. If you’re tent-less you can sleep in or get out of the elements easier. They’re also easier to sell/trade down the road.

Who ever knew living in a car full time would become a thing in this life? I really enjoy all these build of people actually living in their cars more than I enjoy the ones with roof top tents. This is a true living in your Jeep.

That’s the first time I’ve seen cupboards on the sides of a Jeep. It’s a great idea that I may have to borrow for mu camper JKU!
John Walker That’s right John 😄 We’re probably the first to add them cupboards on a Jeep (at least on the internet) lol. We were heavily inspired by van life builds though 😬 If you do it, one advice is, take your time tracing that roll bar out. Once you get that right, the cupboards will be nice and tight and rattle free 👍🏽 Good luck 😊

I would like to say that y'all did an awesome job building out all of your storage options in your jeep! I have a 2005 Chevrolet Venture LS minivan that I want to convert into a campervan, but my van does not have the stow & go compartments in the floor, so I have to find the best way to utilize the space that I do have available. Plus I also have 2 cats that I have to consider, while I build my van conversion.

I am also one of the few Indians who own a jeep in Ph. I hail from B’lore too & ride a Royal Enfield when back home (still have my 1997 RE Machismo , sitting idle) . Glad you liked our setup Jean 😊 We used one of those Quick Color Spray Paint by Rust-oleum. Any multi purpose paint should work just fine 👍🏽

You did very well, speaking in the video. I enjoyed the video very much. You both are very smart. When it is cold, if you stay where there is electricity, there is a nice heater that costs about $20. US. Lasko My Heat. It is only 200 Watts but would do a good job in your jeep. The size is about 4.5" wide x 3" deep x 6" tall. The best of luck to you both!

We were on the road for 3 months and had to pause the trip due to covid.
Your Jeep is fabulous - I really like this setup. I have a Rubicon & would buy a Sport if I could do it over again. The locking diffs, sway bar disconnect, & other add-ons are truly excessive; I do light off-roading. 👍🏻

I’m surprise some company doesn’t build a platform for a bed in the back of the jeep I know they make a mattress that fits the back but they should make a raised platform so you can put a slide out kitchen and refrigerator underneath the bed
