The theory is that if Jagex doesn't ban they make more money cause it's paying for membership either way. Theres almost 300m accounts created and pretty sure not even 175m account play the game current. Majority of that 300m accounts population is bots...

Its really not ive been botting for a month now on like 10 accounts zero bans. Its a huge cashgrab scam taking your information and doing god knows what with. The more money jagex loese the quicker the game just dies.
This video and plug-in looks amazing! There is one thing I would like to mention though, the percentages the plug-in presents are NOT the chance of that account being a bot or not. It is the CONFIDENCE level of the plugin that the account is a bot or not. I feel that this is an important distinction to make, as without it it could cause some witch hunts and other issues with potential false positives.
Only problems I’ve found with the plug in as follows Pures with high melee stats; for example, 99 range 1 def 99 magic will come up as a magic bot/pvm ranged bot If a player has a couple of million xp in a certain combat stat and not others, with significant pvm monster kills; they can sometimes come up as maybe 5% pvm bot based on that skill. For example 104 ranged based on runelite level system, other combat stats 99 and zulrah kc 405 will come up as pvm ranging bot by 6%.. even though that is not the case If an obvious grand exchange standing bot, enchanting, fletching, herb cleaning ect ect.. has marginal stats won’t be detected. For example; 74 mage, 66 fletching, 82 herblore and pretty much no other stats, won’t come up on bot detection system Glad to help Old school RuneScape name 07james, let’s get rid of the bots

I’m certainly subscribing to their Patreon to support this! It’s crazy how they’re basically doing Jagex’s job for them yet don’t get offered any funding towards server costs. I play lms daily and there’s the same bots I report 10+ times a day with 6k+ lms rank and they still aren’t banned.
Bro I just checked my acc, vs someone I know who bots and it says he is 100% real and said i botted .3% on my acc which is minimal but that shit doesnt work bc I've never touched one, and he bots regularly.

I definitely think its a factor thats taken in to account. At the same time, banning them could mean earning more money. For example, if a botter buys a bond and gets banned in the first week. They then have to make a new account and purchase a new bond.
Can't wait for this to be reverse engineered, and become one of botmakers best tools. Imagine coding a bot, that pays attention to this plugin, and keeps itself within "acceptable" ranges of believability. Where there are superheroes, there will be supervillians.
So, what's your point? The same works the other way around as well, where there are supervillains, there will be superheroes. And of course this is like "canon and walls". That's basically how cryptography works lmao. Someone will crack a hash someday, and then there will be people developing a newer hash that is harder to crack with the present tools. That's how things always have been. I am aware that some botters here are getting triggered hard over this, but that's how it is. Deal with it and play a different game if you don't like the grind.

However, I think Oldschool Runescape is less of a game and more of a social experiment of sorts, at this point. I, personally, enjoy following the bot vs anti-bot content. It's very interesting seeing the elements that go into both sides. It's very much like a comic, or manga, at this point. I enjoy making predictions about the "future" chapters, so to say. But I do believe, ultimately, that in the end this plugin will become one of the strongest tools in botters toolkits. Jagex gets by, by *not* revealing their detection methods and (potentially) good natured players have unveiled something that will help pin point suspicious behavior. Botters will have free reign to play around with this system, and code according to its detection capabilities. Not to mention the amount of reports it sends in may cause an issue on Jagex's end, having to review each report. But this I am uncertain about.

The only difference is my ISP is a known company with millions of customers and have to report to the ICO. ExpressVPN on the other hand are paying UA-camrs to advertise their product. i spent 14 hours in the woodcutting guild, either the plugin detects me because i enjoy afk woodcutting, or the plugin detects me because im the only player there after all the bots got banned, lets see what happens first.
Lol bro it detects based mostly off your high score and quests completed etc. It puts hacked 2k total people who bot pvm 15 hours a day as 99% legit and skillers who focus on only two skills and play all day as 85% bots. It's a joke

I love using runelite but almost every major problem stems from 3rd party clients they really need to make it so you require a hash or player id from a vanilla client to connect to the server to give themselves any chance which means they need to update their client. It is easier than they are making it.
Tbh this plugin could be developed by botters themselves to go after the competition. It's easily possible that they have farms running where the parameters aren't being looked at. Basically recruit everyone else to hunt your own competition for you. Seems like a low chance that this is the case but with so much money involved I wouldn't put it past people being this clever.
If you do any long grinds the plugin automatically puts you in the predictions category. Kinda stupid, especially knowing it was installed and made to catch bots, not to freak out actual players who invest a lot of time into this game..
I remember finding either a bot farm or gold farm in the watch tower quest ogre cave for the blue dragons there while doing slayer on an area restricted account, everyone i saw had similar names, gear, and levels with minor variance including character appearance and god dhide color, i remember the plugin showing no indication that it thought they were bots despite them basically just having the stats to do the quest and the combat style they were using, reported all of them and marked as high potential ranged pvm bots
The sad thing about bots is that Jagex very well knows they generate a shitload of money to them. They inflate player amounts which gives the game more visibility, they buy bonds from GE which jack up the prices so real players are more incentivized to buy bonds and sell them for gp and just overall make the game look active to a new player so they're more inclined to stay and even try the game in the first place since it pops up in every " top 10 mmo " list out there. When you combine that with the undeniable fact that bots are largely responsible for the games economy, Jagex isn't ever going to put a lot of effort into banning them. From a business perspective it just doesn't make sense to get rid off them all. Overnight bot purge would inflate the prices of nearly everything so much that the average player could never afford to buy anything and the economy would be a complete mess for long time if not indefinitely. Sure there's a few outliers who like to swim against the stream and honestly think that the game would be better overall without bots, but in reality at this point the game has become dependant of them.
Oh i thought the plugin was going to scan the area your in automatically and report all the bots for you lol ... so all it does is detects bots i mean you can tell that pretty easily.
I'm so confused. Does this mean that Jagex bans them, ONLY after they are reported -when they then review? Isn't Jagex bot detection doing that already? Also, many accounts are falsely labeled as bots, which won't be fun for anyone in a community-based game.
Yeah the plugin's confidence rating isn't perfect. A lot of alts and oddly leveled accounts will be picked up as bots. But when Jagex gets their hands on the lists, they have the tools to know they're just alts.

People in the community, CC's and friends are going to be "flagged" as 75% bot and potentially lead to a series of cyberbullying in an already tense and toxic environment. The solution should be that Bot detection should be done adequately by Jagex, if they agree to ban after a "review" of a report, then their bot detection isn't doing anything.
I PK green dragon bots occasionally, you have to have TB ready because they're programmed to tele as soon as any player in their combat bracket that can PK them comes onto their screen.

There is a bot farm I have been killing next to lava maze at green dragons. It is very bad in that area. Use burning amulet and head east, can't miss it.
I have two accounts with no xp in anything but 17m+ cooking, because i afk altscape and its easy money, and i've recently considered doing fletching twins for the same reason being as that I am a real player who plays a lot, it would read that I am a bot? Becuase of xp gain per day being high and no other stats other than the stat that I made the account for?
This plugin is awesome but I've seen it quite a few times get it crazy wrong. For instance, I got my cousin into it, I can guarantee that guy doesn't bot lol, new to pc altogether. He built himself a pretty well rounded early game acc and every time we looked it would always detect him as an "unknown bot"
I used the plugin to look up my acct, it said "96% real player 1% pvm melee bot" I'm assuming it's because my combat is maxed, and my other skills are like 60-80s? idk but i don't think this formula is exactly good for "predicting bots" because, more than likely. If someone was to make a skiller, and train one skill to 99 and ignore other skills im fairly certain this plugin would say it's a high chance to be a bot even when it's not.

I still don't get this meme. It literally doesn't make any sense. Actually, less botting equals less gold generated by bots, and thus more people buying bonds, which is actually highly beneficial for Jagex.
awesome idea but needs a bit of work. I looked up my alt that I have been working on 50 firemaking. It is only 46 firemaking but it put it in the category of wintertodt bot. It was only like .3 percent chance or something but still. I dont even have the lvl for wintertodt lol. And every lvl that i have gotten a few levels worth of xp recently it gave it a small chance of botting in that category.
I remember you reporting me mining on my road to 99 as i was doing 1 99 at once milestone. It was funny how you even report someone who wants to fool you so that you make that false report. Should report you for false report.

Jagex needs to release a bot man mode, where it’s like an iron man but you can bot, and your items are never able to be picked up by another account

Lol bro it detects based mostly off your high score and quests completed etc. It puts hacked 2k total people who bot pvm 15 hours a day as 99% legit and skillers who focus on only two skills and play all day as 85% bots. It's a joke

I love using runelite but almost every major problem stems from 3rd party clients they really need to make it so you require a hash or player id from a vanilla client to connect to the server to give themselves any chance which means they need to update their client. It is easier than they are making it.
Tbh this plugin could be developed by botters themselves to go after the competition. It's easily possible that they have farms running where the parameters aren't being looked at. Basically recruit everyone else to hunt your own competition for you. Seems like a low chance that this is the case but with so much money involved I wouldn't put it past people being this clever.
Id argue that's why it's open source. If new parameters are found which could be helpful at detecting bots, it can be made by them or someone else.

If you do any long grinds the plugin automatically puts you in the predictions category. Kinda stupid, especially knowing it was installed and made to catch bots, not to freak out actual players who invest a lot of time into this game..
I remember finding either a bot farm or gold farm in the watch tower quest ogre cave for the blue dragons there while doing slayer on an area restricted account, everyone i saw had similar names, gear, and levels with minor variance including character appearance and god dhide color, i remember the plugin showing no indication that it thought they were bots despite them basically just having the stats to do the quest and the combat style they were using, reported all of them and marked as high potential ranged pvm bots

what do you do after detecting someone that is a bot? do you need to manually report them too?
Can it differentiate between bots and alts? Alts can have weird looking stats that makes them look like a bot
installed the plugin, found out it thinks im a bod, then uninstalled it, WTF!
The sad thing about bots is that Jagex very well knows they generate a shitload of money to them.
They inflate player amounts which gives the game more visibility, they buy bonds from GE which jack up the prices so real players are more incentivized to buy bonds and sell them for gp and just overall make the game look active to a new player so they're more inclined to stay and even try the game in the first place since it pops up in every " top 10 mmo " list out there.
When you combine that with the undeniable fact that bots are largely responsible for the games economy, Jagex isn't ever going to put a lot of effort into banning them. From a business perspective it just doesn't make sense to get rid off them all. Overnight bot purge would inflate the prices of nearly everything so much that the average player could never afford to buy anything and the economy would be a complete mess for long time if not indefinitely.
Sure there's a few outliers who like to swim against the stream and honestly think that the game would be better overall without bots, but in reality at this point the game has become dependant of them.
My one concern is that if too many people start using this plugin, the load on the hiscores will become even more strained, as you mentioned

It does automatically detect and report bots for you though. At least in the current version anyways.
I'm so confused. Does this mean that Jagex bans them, ONLY after they are reported -when they then review? Isn't Jagex bot detection doing that already? Also, many accounts are falsely labeled as bots, which won't be fun for anyone in a community-based game.
Yeah the plugin's confidence rating isn't perfect. A lot of alts and oddly leveled accounts will be picked up as bots. But when Jagex gets their hands on the lists, they have the tools to know they're just alts.

@@JMRabil675 Everyone's alts and everyone who just wants to grind out a skill and create an XP spike in a short amount of time. People in the community, CC's and friends are going to be "flagged" as 75% bot and potentially lead to a series of cyberbullying in an already tense and toxic environment. The solution should be that Bot detection should be done adequately by Jagex, if they agree to ban after a "review" of a report, then their bot detection isn't doing anything.
I PK green dragon bots occasionally, you have to have TB ready because they're programmed to tele as soon as any player in their combat bracket that can PK them comes onto their screen.
I think they only tele when someone in their bracket appears when skulled.
Used to detect option on my both accounts. It's funny how it shows its magic_bot 0.63% and PVM_ranged_bot 0.23% even I got LVL 1 magic and ranged :D
2 question I have is, have there been any accidental bans of real players? How does it categorize people skilling for long periods of time?

It doesn't ban anyone it sends the names to Jagex so they're in charge of filtering bans

@@Wack.. that's a Jagex issue though not a plugin issue. Jagex are the ones getting paid to do this stuff not randoms on the internet.
If Jagex actually cared about banning bots like they do in RS3 all of this wouldn't be happening anyway.

There is a bot farm I have been killing next to lava maze at green dragons. It is very bad in that area. Use burning amulet and head east, can't miss it.

Lol it detected me as 40% im a fletching bot.... it took me probably 4-5 months of playing off and on to get 99 fletching, and it thinks i'm a bot?
The accuracy is only at around 80%, it'll get more accurate with time :)
I wonder what the bot might think about people early on in a 99 one at a time character.

Jagex removed Bounty Hunter as a "Fix" to the bot problem. Funny to see that was just sweeping the dirt under the rug.
I have two accounts with no xp in anything but 17m+ cooking, because i afk altscape and its easy money, and i've recently considered doing fletching twins for the same reason being as that I am a real player who plays a lot, it would read that I am a bot? Becuase of xp gain per day being high and no other stats other than the stat that I made the account for?

This plugin is awesome but I've seen it quite a few times get it crazy wrong. For instance, I got my cousin into it, I can guarantee that guy doesn't bot lol, new to pc altogether. He built himself a pretty well rounded early game acc and every time we looked it would always detect him as an "unknown bot"
i saw that same addy platebody bot farm in barbarian village last week
I used the plugin to look up my acct, it said "96% real player 1% pvm melee bot"
I'm assuming it's because my combat is maxed, and my other skills are like 60-80s? idk but i don't think this formula is exactly good for "predicting bots" because, more than likely. If someone was to make a skiller, and train one skill to 99 and ignore other skills im fairly certain this plugin would say it's a high chance to be a bot even when it's not.
I think it would too, its still in its early stages so they'll hopefully find a solution :)

This isnt very accurate. It picks up my old cooking alt from f2p as a bot and its never botted just has medium high cooking stats

I still don't get this meme. It literally doesn't make any sense. Actually, less botting equals less gold generated by bots, and thus more people buying bonds, which is actually highly beneficial for Jagex.
awesome idea but needs a bit of work. I looked up my alt that I have been working on 50 firemaking. It is only 46 firemaking but it put it in the category of wintertodt bot. It was only like .3 percent chance or something but still. I dont even have the lvl for wintertodt lol. And every lvl that i have gotten a few levels worth of xp recently it gave it a small chance of botting in that category.
I remember you reporting me mining on my road to 99 as i was doing 1 99 at once milestone. It was funny how you even report someone who wants to fool you so that you make that false report. Should report you for false report.
