The fact that elected official would refuse to even discuss the very act that enabled each Senator sitting in those seats the right to sit in them should be seen as a derelict of their duties!
It stuns me how easily they squash debate.

It’s because without voter suppression and gerrymandering, the GOP platform doesn’t hold up to gen Z and a more diverse slate of voters. The GOP cannot win without cheating, and this last election, they couldn’t win even with Russian interference.

He truly is a fighter for Georgia and really passionate.
That speech gave me chills! These people aren't doing the job we sent them to do! They refuse to even talk about the changes to laws being made publicly! Yet the same party choosing our country's fate, yells about shadow conspiracies and corruption! The Republican party has turned it's back on the will of the people, and are purely acting on their own wills! If something isn't done to stop this, America's last pockets of hope for democracy will wither. Please get out there and speak out about what's happening, and vote while we still can!
Sen. Warnock reminds me so much of Barack Obama when he delivers a speech about something very important.
Hearing Warnock's impassioned speech just makes it harder to bear the lockstep republican vote against debate. Sad that one party has given up on democracy for America.

United States is NOT the "Greatest Democracy in the world" or should I say, is not anymore. In no criteria does America deserve that title. Not by size, not fairness, not equality. You can realistically make that argument for India, which has over 1.3 Billion people, but definitely not the US.

@Z Ham caste system does not affect the voting rights in any way. Officials make sure Voting Machines are able to reach every person. Even in the Indian Law every person is equal. Ground reality matters.
@Z Ham I would say its the same extent as racism in America. It is high in some places and almost non existent in some places. Of course the issues do exist though.Where I live, caste issues are non existent.
@Z Ham Do you live in India? Unless you do you cannot just pass of an judgement based on the news that you see. The media always shows a negative picture. You guys should know that by now. For us the media shows incidents of black people being harrassed and being oppressed but I believe the ground reality is different. The same applies to India. Yes, religious issues and caste based issues exist. Are they as prevalent as you are implying? No. That's why I said earlier it's similar to the US. Here too, entire regions are not bigoted. Certain individuals are bigoted but you may notice a greater density in some places and lesser density in some places. As far as I know, it's easier to be affected by racism in the Southern parts of the US then the Northern parts. I would say you guys are better than us in many many factors. Hygiene, Economy, Military, etc. But issues regarding discrimination, I don't think you guys are much different than us. That's the point I was trying to make.
Edit:- Also I never meant to say high density of bigoted individuals. I want to say higher density of bigoted individuals than some places.

That was crazy yesterday, seeing one party voting yes for debate and the other party voting no. I have never seen that before, I side with the Democrats on this though. There should be more early voting, the more people registered to vote with each election cycle the better. Not suppressing the vote by any means necessary so that the candidate they want to win will win, that's not fair. Counting all the votes on that come in on election day or postmarked for election day even if it takes days or a week after an election to count is fair regardless of who is running and not running.

Beautifully said and entirely reasonable. Only problem is the people proposing these voter suppression bills don’t operate on reason, they operate on personal interest. You literally can’t disagree with what’s being said here and still consider yourself American.
I like the reverend more and more. When men like him speak plainly, and with a little bit of the holy spirit 😉, they will expose the wickedness of the slaveowners. It won't be easy, but I think he will inspire more and more voters to to step up and oppose American greed
