- Check out the exciting treasures from the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show 2023, as I search for the perfect gems to take home! In this video, explore amazing rough rock from around the world, incredible cabochons in all shapes and sizes, and opals from Australia and Africa. Toward the end of my shopping spree, I run into Lapidary Dave and his pal, Sprite. Back home, I take a closer look at the slabs, rough, fire agates and opals I brought home. It's a gem and mineral extravaganza!

Ooooomg that Chrysacolla copper is awesome at 1:19 is amazing I need some of that wonder how much it costs
It is crazy expensive - $300/lb at that place. I bought a tiny slab, and it cost $36! Worth it, though.

I have 5 little fire opals or agates that have flash. Depending on which vendor as to what they call them. Arizona Rocks and Minerals field guide calls them fire agates. Whatever they are gorgeous. Trying to figure out how to cut and polish.

Beautiful! I’m jealous! That Tiffanystone is awesome. It’s my favorite. I’m always looking for slabs of that! Very soft stone but makes a nice cab!
The labradorite chest burster xenomorph is cool 👍🏻 yes that’s what it is 😂 you can look it up. I’m sure

* Thanks for showing some of those pieces up close. Loved the Golden Peanut Obsidian, So Cool! ~ I had a teardrop piece of Shattuckite made into a wonderful ring. It Polishes beautifully. ~ So surprised that white Labradorite looks so much like Moon Stone. They both have the same Chatoyancy. Labradorite seems to have more.. Love dark Labradorite.. Drooling at the screen.. ~ When you made your 2023 Maker's Challenge, I was sure you would make a tall lamp similar to those at the 9:30 to 10:00 mark.. but your tray is beautiful.. ~ Ethiopian Opal is Amazing.. The chatoyancy is so much brighter than ours here in the US.. ~
