Switch's built-in internet browser used for the eShop, the NSO app, and image sharing (and Wi-Fi login for some networs) was super ancient. Switch 2 will have a much newer browser, so it'll run much faster by default.
It's pretty straightforward, it loads the ENTIRE page into the RAM on the shitty Switch Browser. The Switch has 4GB and 1GB is usable by the browser, so when you're on a page that's displaying 9,000 tiles, it's just massively overwhelming to the hardware.
I really hope there's more to the Switch 2 than just a graphics bump and some minor hardware changes like magnet joycons. I would be happy if it had a new eShop and maybe theming... I would also love for some wild and crazy hardware ideas... Thanks for the coverage. I have been trying to avoid rumors, but wanted to watch the video.
The Switch can just become another console line like the DS used to be, that's alright. It has already got such a perfect form factor, all it needs now is power, really.
I didn't mind 8nm or 5nm or Samsung or TSCM or 4TFLOPS or 3TFLOPS. I just want all Switch 2 games running at locked (if can) 60fps 1080p handheld & 60fps 2K/4K TV with respectable graphics & battery life (handheld). I'm believed in secret sauce that Nintendo & Nvidia put in this Switch 2
USB type C on the bottom and top. Top for charging / Accessories. Potentially a camera? Hopefully a special sensor bar for the joycons so they can port wii games and not have to deal with constant recentering/cursor drift issues. A C button? C for chat, cast, compile, customizer? I hope the chips they used doesn't actually turn out to be from Samsung Foundry, they are well known to have thermal issues even in their Samsung Galaxy lineups, as well as them making Tensor chips for Google phones, which also have terrible performance. They made the Exynos chips for mobile devices and they were always inferior in terms of efficiency, thermals, and performance wise to Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips. Not to mention the fact that when they made Snapdragon chips, (the 888 and 8 Gen 1) performance was garbage and couldn't sustain its performance at all since they kept throttling
I think it may as well be like a last gen system (ps4 undocked) and a current gen system at the same time (docked). The new dock seems like it's certainly going to have some tech that upscales the game where they feel more like a current gen version of the game playing in handheld mode
I want infrared sensor bar or on top of the tv like the wii had. Pointing was much better back then plus recalibrateing the gryoscope by pointing at the tv would be nice.
Why is everyone pretending like DLSS 4k is a good thing? Upscaled games look objectively worse and have their own downsides, like Frame Gen introducing quite some input lag and just the disgusting artifacts that Upscaling can bring with it. I'm not a fan where we are going with AI tech to make games run
An LCD screen isnt crappy by default, there are good ones and Bad ones, the new LCD screens are quite good, not as good as OLED but are pretty close and have good colors

I'm hoping Kingdom Hearts 4 gets announced for switch 2. If the Switch is as powerful or at least close to as powerful as a Xbox Series S with the help of DLSS then there is no excuse for switch 2 to not get ports anymore. Every game that comes out on Xbox Series X needs to come to Series S as well day one. And the Series S is just a glorified Xbox One X/PS4 pro with a SSD taped to it.

It's not a native app, it's a website running through the browser, and Switch's OS only reserve a tiny bit of RAM for the browser

Nin is going to announce Switch sales at 161+ & then they will show Switch 2 the next day after. That is their* plan.

Is it for sure that the Switch 2 will even look anything like it's predecessor? It may be an entirely different console/idea. Is it craze that's gonna be the same idea as the Switch even valid? Truly. Be honest.

I just want to see this System get announced already and also about the rumor about the Switch 2 eshop at 7:04 I hope that is wrong because I would really hope to see that Eshop on the Switch 2 with a better Menu UI & with a Eshop theme as well.
