What's funny about one of Kit's "lock" predictions being strong third-party support is Krysta made that exact prediction last year and he thought it was too broad and pinned her down to EA returning as a third-party publisher for Switch 2. lol
I think that a year on we've now been flooded with leaks and rumours of specific huge games coming to Switch, interviews with developers talking about how they are considering the Switch successor, we have information about the hardware being used that now makes it clear that it absolutely could run these big games... A year ago, saying "third party support will be big" would be met with a "oh really, like who?", and now its met with a "yeah, no shit, and probably straight from launch". Last year, it was a prediction and a pretty vague one, now its all but a certainty
Amusing, sure but if we're being real, the background doesn't have to sit in her living room when she has guests round. I love the color green but I wouldn't buy a console that color 😄
Yeah kinda, but it always depends how colors are used. I'd probably not like a fully purple/orange jacket, but a jacket with pattern containing some purple and orange could look good.
When Kit said Mario's 40th anniversary my jaw hit the floor. The release of the 25th anniversary Mario All-Stars feels so fresh in my memory. How has it been 15 years already?
Similar to what Krysta said about Nintendo going Apple, I’ve seen some people pointing out how they also seem to be going down the Disney route - branching out into every form of entertainment and relying on brand loyalty to keep consumers interested
With regard to Nintendo moving into their Apple era, while I don’t entirely disagree, I think the reason the Switch 2 is going to be their next console is because they kinda established this form factor. They opened the flood gates for hybrid consoles, similarly to when they launched the Gameboy. I think this next hardware will be a refined version of the Switch to solidify their position in the market, both in revenue and mind share.
I was 11 when the switch released and I remember watching yall unboxing it on Nintendo minute. Now I’m in college and still watching ur content on the new Nintendo console 😭
I'd like to point out that May 2025 will be the 10th anniversary of the Splatoon franchise. I think there's a good chance it will be celebrated somehow, I'm not entirely sure if a small new game or something would be expecting too much but it's possible.
I think it’s too soon for Splatoon 4 or a spin-off game but something I’ve been speculating on for a while is Splatoon 3 getting a bonus season/content update for the Switch 2, as the console is going to be backwards compatible. Seeing as Splatoon 3 very slightly underperformed I could see them promoting it as a poster child title to take advantage of switch 2’s backwards compatibility maybe.
@qwert_511 Splatoon 4 is definitely not an option, hopefully that releases in 3 or 4 years or so. And I've been suspecting third kits to drop alongside the Switch 2 to breathe some new life into the game as well. I don't think it's too early for a spinoff in 2025 though, at least as long as a different team is working on it than the mainline developers. I'm not expecting it too much, but it could happen.
@ third kits is definitely in the cards for 2025. I don’t think it would take many resources to have a few staff maintaining and working on the final update for S3 while the rest of the team works in future projects
as far as I know , Splatoon 4 is coming but it isn't ready so its not going to be a true launch title I have the launch line up aggregate leak in my newest video
Miyamoto comes out on a stage, uncovers a perfect black ⚫ sphere. With a thought it levitates then starts projecting holograms. "This is the next step for Nintendo. You thought it was going to be a Switch 2? That's cave man stuff. We're beyond that now."
I like to scroll down and start reading comments right away while the video starts up, before seeing the video. I saw this comment and thought oh okay, woman on the internet gets a looks compliment from some guy. I've seen this before, creepy. Then I scrolled up and saw the hair and was like oh my god those curls are gorgeous lol. YOU ARE CORRECT
So glad you tried out the Castlevania DLC, Kit! I left a comment about it in your GOTY survey because I loved it so much. I also put a decent amount of time into Vampire Survivors originally, but this DLC sparked a brand new passion for me. I highly recommend "beating" the DLC (basically unlocking Richter and heading to Dracula's tower as him). It's so worth it. And there are loads of secret characters beyond the initial set - they really went all out!
About Exit 8, it's a horror game that was big with streamers for a bit (which is how I heard of it). It's available on steam for $4, so I'm surprised it's not on the US eshop. A movie based on this game is going to be made as well. Edit: just checked, it is on the US eshop. And it's on sale, but that sale is ending in a few hours.
For one, I don't see Nintendo charging any less thatn $400 USD (tariffs notwithstanding). Likewise, I feel like they're only gonna charge $70 USD for their heavy-hitters (Mario, 3D Zelda, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Smash, Pokémon, etc.). Their more niche IPs couldn't really afford to take the hit, so they'll likely remain $60 USD. Also, expecting everything from MK8D to carry over to MK9/10 isn't realistic to expect. And the Game Freak leak seems to have confirmed that Legends Z-A won't be getting a Switch 2 version. It'll be purely a Switch 1 project, which isn't surprising considering that Game Freak/TPC often waits to move to new systems.
All main entries are going to be 70 dollars, small projects clocking in at 40. MK9 double dash 2 does in fact, as all other Mario karts, have no carry over. Legends Z-A is only going to release on Switch 2.
All MarioKart 9 needs for the killer app feel is teams. Racing teams! You can’t hurt your teammates. Have a squad up to four online and race other teams. Imagine it!!!
What I want is finally an adventure mode, just like diddy kong racing and crash bandicoot racing had. A 5-10 hour story mode which introduce players and let them learn the game in singleplayer - could even let it support co-op.
The hardware is clearly going to be rather expensive so I'm certain it was done entirely to cut costs. Would be nice to see an OLED model in the future though.
My predictions for SW2: 1) New game/IP for launch(Mario Kart can come later). 2) Joy-Con/s will have a new feature that know one has thought of...so far. 3) Nvidia DLSS 3.0ish without frame gen in docked mode. 4) Front facing camera. 5) Wireless/Shared charging. 6) A new style NSO subscription service. Wild guess, the 'c' button is for friends live chat via mic in Joy-Con.
no new ip at launch. Joy Con do have 1 new feature, really hard to know what it is for me based on technical talk, sounds like an IR sensor. Nvidia Dlss2.2 is confirmed, docked and undocked. Doesn't seem that there's room for a camera. But the console can now self capture which is what the C button is for. And the NSO subscription hasn't been reworked.
I can't see a reveal in a week or two and a release in March. That contradicts everything Nintendo does and even said. They have games scheduled for release well into 2025 and recently added "coming soon" to Metroid Prime 4's vague "2025" initial schedule. To stomp over these new games with a Switch 2 makes no sense. They also said "make an announcement about the Switch successor" by the end of the fiscal year, not reveal it, much less release it. In the usual February Direct, I see that as mostly showcasing MP4 and other games, reveal MP4 will be released March or April, and tease the Switch 2 at the end with a "more to come soon" message. I suspect Nintendo will use the June Direct to reveal it, and then release it in September. Sorry, anyone that thought we'd see Switch 2 in 2024 was a fool. Again, watch Nintendo's behaviour, and listen to their words. Too many games were coming and they will always extract the most sales possible out of a successful system. As to the future, Nintendo operate on needs of the market. They won't be like a phone company and release a model every year, or even every few years. In fact, we're 8 years into the Switch's life. When Nintendo is on a winning formula, they stick to it, which is why the Switch lasted so long and why the logical successor will be a "Switch 2" concept. Much like NES to SNES to N64. The GameCube was very much the anti-N64 by adopting modern practices of optical discs and a conventional controller, and when that wasn't as successful as hoped, out popped the Wii. The Wii U then followed on the Wii success, and then Nintendo aborted it early and were quick to announce something completely new was coming. More likely, there seems a general consolidation of hardware in the market, notably with the Steam Deck and phone/tablet gaming, and Nintendo will ensure they remain the home for unique software. Even if the future of gaming is handheld devices, to play Nintendo games, you will need the Nintendo device.
I TOTALLYYYY disagree with you guys about the same joycon colors 😂, i love the mismatch i think it makes it so fun. Although i would love the option to mix and match which color is on left and right, and i want even more colors!
But that's what bugs me about the mismatch colors sold as sets. If they sold matching sets then we'd want to buy more sets to get different colors, and then we could mismatch them how we want OR use matching colors. The way they do it now is that mismatched colors are forced on us, and getting matching colors takes a lot of effort. I have matching green, but only because I got the limited time Splatoon 2 bundle back in 2017 that had green/pink, and then the separate pink/green set much later. Best buy had a double green set for a limited time, and the double blue set was available in 2017 as well, but not anymore.
@@ForestPantherGodthere are white and white, black and black, and multi colored. It hasn't been leaked what colors are available on the launch editions of switch 2, but we do know so of the designs based on the dummy models and 3rd party manufacturer leaks of product packaging
I really enjoy listening to your podcast when I'm doing dailies in ffxiv or level grinding in an rpg! I hope we get a new animal crossing on switch 2 so i can play that and listen to this podcast while doing that, too!
As hyped as I am to grab the new Switch … I am also considering if I should wait for a cool ltd edition design that will inevitably launch a few months after.
I do have to disagree on a few points though. The Switch launched only 5 years after the Wii U, so that's why a few things weren't ready at launch, like Mario Kart 8 and the Online service. Now they've had 8 years to get ready, so I think more stuff will be done and ready at launch... Including a new 3D Mario adventure. The N64 was the last console that had a big 3D Mario game day 1, I think they'll have one ready this time, not later in the year.
All I need is a new Mario Kart, it's about time after 10 years. Some themes should be a must, if it's just a more powerful Switch but again. I'm also hoping for a new Animal Crossing within the next 2 years, there was much potential lost in AC:NH.
Ekans? It could be Arbok! I have a crazy prediction: The next Monster Hunter Wilds trailer will be when Nintendo announces Switch 2 and it's going to the system.
I'm just now finding out where you all went after Nintendo Minute by happening on this video! Needless to say, I watched the whole thing and subscribed!
One major feature for the Switch 2 is going to be its ability to enhance the original Switch's games, playing them with solid frame rates and at max resolution. I'm not saying everything will be 4k 60, but titles with dynamic resolution will tend to stay locked at the maximum, and there won't be any stuttering anymore. At the same time, it should also be getting better battery life while playing the older titles. From everything we know about the system, this is going to be a major upgrade.
Yes Krysta! Let's have something in Europe for a change! A Nintendo store in London would be great. Sorry I would have commented sooner but I've been away on bank holiday...
The ONLY two hopes I have for the Zelda movie is that 1) Nintendo realizes their mistake and switches producers or 2) Nintendo, specifically Miyamoto and maybe Aonuma, are breathing down the producer's neck so hard that they're practically directing the movie themselves. That's the feeling I got from the Mario movie. Many people were concerned with Illumination being the studio selected to work on the film, but you can just feel how much love and care was put into making sure the movie was not only entertaining but also a solid nod to the fans. I'm desperately hoping the hand holding is just as strong for the Zelda movie.
Oh I want MORE joycon colours! I think nintendo was too slow with releasing new ones, and the first ones we got were booring. I also couldn't make myself spend 90$ for new ones because of drift, so i never got the pastel pink and yellow ones:(
1:49:10 This is only a problem when you're one of those people who always needs to have the latest thing as soon as it comes out - In which case, you'd probably be aware that a new system is on the way. I got an NES shortly before the SNES released, but that never diminished the fun I had playing Mario, Duck Hunt, TMNT, Tiny Toons etc. on my "old" NES.
37:05 Okay but NSO is like a "bad" good thing that happened, before that we actually had free online play on the Switch 😭 Granted, we were warned about it becoming a paid service from the beginning, but we still had a good year and a half (NSO came out September 2018) of completely free online functionality with the system. At the time it really did simply feel like a paywall and nothing more, the benefits of subscribing to NSO were truly minimal (aside from getting to play online of course). I think, though, that the one good feature that did come out after the system (and it came out with NSO) was cloud saves.
Yeah gotta blame Microsoft on that one. They started the trend of paying for online back on the 360. Playstation followed with the PS4 and now Nintendo has with the Switch. Though at least the Switch online services are like 1/4 the price.
I still think that locking old games behind NSO and making that the main reason you get the service feels misguided. There just should be way more than that. The actual service needs to improve, not just throwing more games on NSO. It's the similar issues with streaming services getting exclusives instead of making that actual service better and easier to use.
Thank you for pointing out how annoying it is to have all these mismatched color Joy-Cons, that has bothered me since the beginning, and I'm glad that my pre-order Switch ended up being double gray. If they sold them as matching sets we'd still have the option of mismatching sets if we want, but please give us the option of having both sides match. Some of us really like symmetry, especially for technology.
I think Mario Kart in its current form is over. I feel like Mario kart 8 already was Smash. Using up all the tracks, and going out in style. The next I think is a complete reboot. Like Tears of the kingdom modular cars with team up like hinted in the Mario Movie.
I also want to say i agree with Krysta when saying she thinks Nintendo is going to be more like Apple I can definitely see them being alot more selective with the games they drop & also just releasing way more household, gaming peripherals, phone apps ect (Alarmo, Controllers that work with anything, headsets, more apps like the music and regular nintendo apps ect) I feel like the Switch 2 will drop & it will have little to no differences from the original Switch but i also think the OS will be just as bland as the og Switch OS was Perhaps just everything feeling more corporate then usual with less casual things for the casual fans to buy
As far as "Xbox will have its strongest year since the 360" I feel like the issue there is, it's working from a position of weakness. Like between 360 and PS3, 360 was dominant throughout most of its lifecycle and Xbox had a lot more first-party stuff going on. Now...like, don't get me wrong, I'm super excited for Doom: The Dark Ages, but I don't really consider that a bonus for Microsoft, because that was a thing they bought that was going to happen anyway. Perfect Dark, at least (even if it's a Rare IP) probably wouldn't exist now without Xbox. So that's something I can count in their column. But not stuff like Doom, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, or COD. That's just Bethesda and Activision continuing business as usual.
As a huge Monster Hunter fan, Relink is awesome. I haven't played the original game, but I've known about it since it released in Japan. Narmaya was my favorite character to play.
I just wish the Switch 2 OS doesn't have that stupid arbitrary limit for screenshots and videocaps (10k and 1k), even though said SD card is barely used with a tonne of free space...
I got my Steamdeck on sale for $400 CAD ($300 USD). A device that runs a full computer desktop, and plays modern AAA games like Armored Core quite well. There is no reason for Nintendo to charge over $400 USD for their power-efficient tablet. No matter the cool hardware changes I hope they make.
My parents brought me and my brothers a NES in 1992 the year the SNES came out. I was 6. I didn’t care. I just enjoyed my NES until 2 years later when we got the SNES. 😂
I don't think the reception will be negative at all, in fact, hot take: this will be the most positive reception for a first trailer in history of consoles. You know why? All of these casuals, complaining about names, lack of innovation, will shut their clueless mouths the second they see a next-gen, open world Mario with PS4-Level graphics, maybe a really nice BOTW Remaster, Pokémon Legens Z-A looking like a veeeeery nice....PS3 game, which will be a huge win for that series.
I actually bought Granblue Fantasy Relink yesterday and have been playing it a lot. It's more like the Tales of games rather than Final Fantasy or Xenoblade. It is very much action focused like the Tales of games. I mean I guess FF16 is too, but unlike FF16, you can change who you control, so you get more than one play style. It's pretty fun. There's also a Monster Hunter type mission mode where you can load in with people to fight big enemies on a hunt, but you can also do the single player story mode without ever using it.
- If they use magnets for the joycons, it'll be in the sticks I think. The Hall-effect sticks, which are largely becoming the standard now, will not work with a magnet-snap gimmick because the magnetic fields will mess with each other. So I think they might improve the rail gimmick, in terms of things like durability, but that's what they'll stick with. It's not the Switch without that signature 'click'. - I agree that the next iteration of the Switch will not visually look much different. But this is because the way the DS line was handled was in a similar manner. The only handheld line that they really messed about with in terms of the shape was the Gameboy Advance. And this I am fine with. If it looks similar, I'm okay with that. - There's been suggestions that the dock might provide enhanced support to ensure that the system can better deliver on its aims with regards to improved performance. This I can see, if only because they did this with the OLED dock (although they sacrificed one of the USB ports, which I wasn't happy with, which is partly why I never bought one). - I can see there being a little bit of improvement to the eShop, but I think that most people are going to be disappointed with it because they expect more than they'll get. - A critical function not being available from day 1 is a pretty good guess. I think it might be either the NSO or something else. I don't see them having a problem with the eShop this time. But I wouldn't be surprised if whatever it is is what has caused the console to take so long to come out. - The HD Rumble feature is essentially the same kind of rumble we're getting out of the PS5 controllers - them (Sony) calling it anything else is just marketing. So I don't think we'll see an improvement on that. But I do see something else on the cards. Maybe something that won't be available right away. If Nintendo are gonna make a physical store in Europe... I do hope it's not in France. There's a huge issue with stores in France and not being able to export because of France's weird trade restrictions. Bandai is already aware of this, having tried to launch a version of P-Bandai (their premium online store) over in France, only to find that the only part of Europe that benefits from it is FRANCE. I have the Japanese eShop on my Switch, and I can confirm, the slop is the same stuff on both shops. That said, they get some really interesting stuff that doesn't turn up on the Europe or the US eShops - they're mostly visual novels though.
I hope Nintendo will continue taking zany risks on gimmicky games and peripherals, but not on their flagship hardware. I don't want to be stuck with the same gimmick for an entire console generation (except for the portable/hybrid gimmick, which is just too good not to keep doing).
My prediction is that it will be called "Switch 2" and people are going to be okay with that name. It will also sell out faster than the original Switch because of a straightforward marketing campaign showing that it's powerful enough to run games at 1080p at 60 fps, and they will finish their showcase with a game that is large in scope and is graphically demanding. Something on the scale of BotW or Xenoblade, but not necessarily those series.
If they want to wow the masses, they can port Cyberpunk 2077 and have it running and looking well. We can also get a patch for Witcher 3 to make it look and run closer to the ps4 version.
@@ShallBePurifiedthe game they are showing off is metroid prime 4. but we are getting a bow3, confirmed, and rumors are that it is ready for launch or near launch
@@playkellyplay Prime 4 will not be exclusive to the next console since it is coming to Switch 2. What I want is a new exclusive game for the next system that is made for that system on the scale of Xenoblade.
First of all, the split joycon colors are wonderful to me and the orange and purple were far and away the best. Mario Kart 9s gimmick will be portals or pipes that quick change you to a different track mid race so you can play any two tracks together. 3D Mario will the big holiday game (no DK). Animal Crossing in the first two years, but revealed this year. Kirby and the Forgotten Land followup in the first two years as well.
55:10 unless the producer is actively messing with the creative process of directors, they're rarely to blame for a movie being bad. they just put money into a project and hope money pops back out. Avi Arad also produced the Spider-Verse movies, which were of course great.
Avi Arad is also the one who forced Sam Rami to include Venom in _Spider-Man 3_ after filming a finalized script had already started, which completely ruined that movie.
@A_Dylan_of_No_Renown Yes, I'm aware. That's why I said the first part. But I highly doubt Avi Arad would have any means or motivation of forcing in his own ideas into a Nintendo property.
We can only hope they kick out Avi Arad, the dude who has brought to life live-action adaptations of Venom, Morbius, Madame Web, Uncharted, Ghost in the Shell, Borderlands and Kraven the Hunter. And now his creativity is about to bring disastrous adaptations for Zelda and Naruto. 💀🙏
26:07 Kit just described my dream Nintendo game. Heck, if you count the mobile game as Mario Kart 9, they could get cheeky with the next one and call it Nin10do Kart 😆
While the Switch 2 may be very iterative and a continuation of what made the Switch "magical"; I think it will single handedly save the gaming industry at large. These triple A games are getting "too big for their own britches" and caving in on themselves from a developmental cost perspective and the Switch 2 may be the 1st major console to launch with their own custom DLSS (made by NVIDIA) which will really change the approach to how devs will make games more efficiently and with amazing looking results. Games have pretty much peeked with the PS4 Pro generation an with good optimization and modern techniques, along with DLSS; you may not see a huge visible difference between PS5 and Switch 2 games (we already struggle to tell the difference between a PS5 and a PS5 Pro as it is). Regarding it's launch line up; I think it will be a notably better line up than the Switch 1 launch year, simply because I see all the 3rd party games we haven't gotten yet; be ported year one for the Switch (all the recent Resident Evil games, the more demanding Tomb Raider Games, Street Fighter 5-6, Read Dead Redemption 2, The Kingdom Hearts games natively, Dragon Ball Sparkling Neo and what ever game that came out on other consoles between 2023-2024, along with what ever big games are expected this year on other consoles, but day and date).
My guess is that the Switch Successor for 2025, is that We'll get a codename drop, I think the OG Switch still has steam left in it with Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and Pokémon Legends ZA and that 2025 will mark the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. series and that we'll see a new Mario Kart on Switch OG (being MK8DX was a port of Mario Kart 8 and that the Booster Course Pass was reused assists from Mario Kart Tour) and We may see Super Mario 3D All-Stars return with Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 64 DS and New Super Mario Bros. All-Stars with New Super Mario Bros. 1, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and New Super Mario Bros. 2. With Xenoblade Chronicles X getting ported from Wii U to Switch We'll see more ports, Zelda Wind Waker HD and Zelda Twilight Princess HD in a 2pack, Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World and Star Fox Zero + Guard will be the last games ported from Wii U to Switch and that Mario baseball and Dr. Mario might be slated for 2026, Metroid Prime 2 and 3 might get remastered aswell. The Switch Successor will be announced sometime after the Super Mario Bros. movie 2 is released in theaters and are going to want to launch a 3D Super Mario game with the console because I feel that the Super Mario Bros. movie 2 will help the successor sell like hot cakes for the Switch successor and will surpass Frozen II in the box office. I know I'm repeating myself but after the Grinch Leak back in 2018 I'm not falling for leaks like this ever again, I'm going to wait until Nintendo says something.
New year, new Kit & Krysta! Here's to 2025! Imagine if Starfox or Kid Icarus makes a comeback this year. Rooting for a new 3D Mario game to be released 🤞
For the celebrity endorsement part, I always think man this would be a great fit in a Switch 2 trailer when I listen to The Weeknd-Dancing in the Flames. Play it over Odyssey 2 and Mario Kart footage. 🤌🏻💋
@Kit & Krysta 25:50 They're going to count Mario Kart Tour as a main line entire and it's going to be called this one Mario Kart X, it's going to be free to play packed in title to all NSO+ subscribers, it will have season passes with karts, characters and parts, and is going to play more like Diddy Kong Racing with new tracks added every other year.
I made the mistake of buying a random minish cap cart online....Turned out to not be an original. I had no clue how expensive the original is now days.
Totally despise the DLC model your suggesting for new Mariokart (or smashbros). Give us the complete game all on one cart. It reminds be of the half baked Splatoon 2? release (i think it was 2), followed by DLC with new levels etc... Asymmetric coloured joycons are nice when tastefully done, like the Zelda Skyward Sword joycons. Though i do agree, give us matching pairs our of the box with the console.
They have redefined a games console this gen. For God's sake let them iterate and bring the same creativity to their new consoles as they did with their previous ones. It doesn't mean they've become souless. Souless is the other two companies cynically copying Nintendo's direction soley for their bottom line. Being ahead of the curve conceptually is difficult (but brave) because noone has made all the mistakes yet. They are far from souless. Copying them is much lower risk.
What is your boldest prediction for 2025?
Gta6 will release
GTA 6 Switch 2 edition.
A game (probably sonic) will realese the same week of gta6 realese and suffer
Metroid Prime 4 will not release on the original Switch. It will only be on Switch 2.

Yeah kinda, but it always depends how colors are used. I'd probably not like a fully purple/orange jacket, but a jacket with pattern containing some purple and orange could look good.

'It's spherical! SPHERICAL!'

HAPPY NEW CONSOLE YEAR! 😃
Happy new console year to all who celebrate :D
@kitandkrysta 😆
Krysta your hair looks so incredible! Love those curls
Yeah she looks hot af
@wiimotionmasher I tried to keep it as “not weird guy on the internet” as possible 😂 I genuinely just was surprised!
@@WIImotionmasher Nah this is wholesome, perhaps token gay friend vibes
This is already in Mario Kart 8, isn't it? So it'll just return
Gutted they are going back to LCD sceens, might hold out for the OLED depending on how good the launch lineup is.
Me vibin with my purple and orange joycon Switch like 🤐
4:35 Snivy and Serperior though 🥺
Very very big year coming, I can feel it🤩
I can't see a reveal in a week or two and a release in March.
I like them too :D every time i think about Switch i get theses blue and red joycons in my head
Agree.
Black and White scream boring and unimaginative. The anti-Nintendo color schemes.
No chance they will move away from multiple colors.
Well you're getting your wish.
Am I the only person who watches these episodes all in one sitting
We love you for doing that
Are we not supposed to?
I listen while I drive for work. I do pause at times but I keep listening until the end.
I do most times ✋
Krysta your hair is fabulous✨
I'm just now finding out where you all went after Nintendo Minute by happening on this video! Needless to say, I watched the whole thing and subscribed!
Wow! Welcome and so glad we found each other again
I'm from Hong Kong and I hope you enjoy your time here Kit!!!
"TODAAAAAAAY!!!"
I just want 3D Mario game and new Mario Kart. Im so ready
well you got what you wanted, they are confirmed . Its Super Mario Sunshine 2, and it looks like Mario Kart 9 Double Dash 2
Krista looking fabulous
Yes Krysta! Let's have something in Europe for a change! A Nintendo store in London would be great. Sorry I would have commented sooner but I've been away on bank holiday...
get back to work 😤
The ONLY two hopes I have for the Zelda movie is that 1) Nintendo realizes their mistake and switches producers or 2) Nintendo, specifically Miyamoto and maybe Aonuma, are breathing down the producer's neck so hard that they're practically directing the movie themselves.
I also couldn't make myself spend 90$ for new ones because of drift, so i never got the pastel pink and yellow ones:(
yeah the new switch 2 joycon are so expensive , 90 usd is insane. But it seems the original joycon are compatible
Happy New Year everyone!! Hopefully most of K&Ks and your own predictions come true.
Fingers-crossed
1:49:10 This is only a problem when you're one of those people who always needs to have the latest thing as soon as it comes out - In which case, you'd probably be aware that a new system is on the way. I got an NES shortly before the SNES released, but that never diminished the fun I had playing Mario, Duck Hunt, TMNT, Tiny Toons etc. on my "old" NES.
37:05 Okay but NSO is like a "bad" good thing that happened, before that we actually had free online play on the Switch 😭
Granted, we were warned about it becoming a paid service from the beginning, but we still had a good year and a half (NSO came out September 2018) of completely free online functionality with the system.
I'm just excited about Prime 4 coming out this year 😄
Thank you for pointing out how annoying it is to have all these mismatched color Joy-Cons, that has bothered me since the beginning, and I'm glad that my pre-order Switch ended up being double gray.
I also want to say i agree with Krysta when saying she thinks Nintendo is going to be more like Apple
I can definitely see them being alot more selective with the games they drop & also just releasing way more household, gaming peripherals, phone apps ect (Alarmo, Controllers that work with anything, headsets, more apps like the music and regular nintendo apps ect)
I feel like the Switch 2 will drop & it will have little to no differences from the original Switch but i also think the OS will be just as bland as the og Switch OS was
Perhaps just everything feeling more corporate then usual with less casual things for the casual fans to buy
As far as "Xbox will have its strongest year since the 360"
I feel like the issue there is, it's working from a position of weakness.
Anyone who slept before midnight had a happy snooze year. Those after midnight had a happy new year.
krysta's hair is so pretty
Happy New Year Kit & Krysta and crew! 🕺✨🙌
Happy New Year!
The mismatched colors are A+, I hope they go even crazier just to spite you two ;)
4:34 E-Cans? I always thought it was pronounced like Eckins.
Grateful for the grounded and easy-going approach to Nintendo stuff throughout 2024, looking forward to watching through 2025 and more!
We’re ready for excitement
The Zelda Movie should be live action with puppets like The Labyrinth. I would go see that day one!
Krysta looks like she can make it to the end of century
As a huge Monster Hunter fan, Relink is awesome. I haven't played the original game, but I've known about it since it released in Japan. Narmaya was my favorite character to play.
I just wish the Switch 2 OS doesn't have that stupid arbitrary limit for screenshots and videocaps (10k and 1k), even though said SD card is barely used with a tonne of free space...
the limit has been changed , but there is one
14:25 Krysta is saying exactly what i've been thinking for years now. it makes total sense.
year of the snake could have serperior wich is super bad ss pokemon, love its design, my first starter ever
seviper too, its not as cool as serperior but atleast cooler than ekans :D
I got my Steamdeck on sale for $400 CAD ($300 USD). A device that runs a full computer desktop, and plays modern AAA games like Armored Core quite well. There is no reason for Nintendo to charge over $400 USD for their power-efficient tablet. No matter the cool hardware changes I hope they make.
Have you bought your Steam deck at retail store?
happy new year everyone and happy games
My biggest wishes are a new 3D Mario game, and a new Mario Kart game! It's been so long since we got new instalments for those...
well your wish is coming true. Mario Kart 9 ( rumor it isDouble Dash 2)and Super Mario Sunshine 2
My parents brought me and my brothers a NES in 1992 the year the SNES came out. I was 6. I didn’t care. I just enjoyed my NES until 2 years later when we got the SNES. 😂
I’m so excited for the year 2025!! This will be the biggest year for video games ever! GTAVI and the Switch 2?! Are you kidding me?! YES!!
Krysta’s “ennui is French for malaise” made me giggle 🤭
I don't think the reception will be negative at all, in fact, hot take: this will be the most positive reception for a first trailer in history of consoles.
You know why? All of these casuals, complaining about names, lack of innovation, will shut their clueless mouths the second they see a next-gen, open world Mario with PS4-Level graphics, maybe a really nice BOTW Remaster, Pokémon Legens Z-A looking like a veeeeery nice....PS3 game, which will be a huge win for that series.
Orange and Purple are my 2 favorite colors and I hope they bring those colors back sometime
I hope it comes to Nintendo Switch!
Genshin Impact and Final Fantasy would be cool. Also, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Visions of Mana!
Good episode! Here’s to 2025 being full of exciting moments. 😁
If they do a TV series, PLEASE let it be a slice of life animal crossing series!!
@@goldmemberpb I mean like an original game. Not a port.
Not sure who the community member is but keeping Relink mention 😭 beautiful. People really should try it
Pokemon Legends Z-A is in the past, it takes place immediately after the great war where you are rebuilding Luminos City.
I need to know what Kit thinks of Exit 8 after he's tried it out lol
Did he write them???
31:16 Also Pokemon Legends ZA, which is a major title also.
Do you guys think the switch 2 launch titles will be available to buy and use on OG switch?
Only Metroid Prime 4 and other cross gen games.
Krysta got a date or something cause her hair looks great
Cheers to 2025
Happy New Year !
I actually love the multi color joycon combination^^
Krysta getting mad at the contrasting color joy con is so real! 🤣
I really hope this is a troll because Nintendo has officially said the switch 2 will be revealed by may 2025
Any idea when the 2025 update video is coming?
New year, new Kit & Krysta! Here's to 2025! Imagine if Starfox or Kid Icarus makes a comeback this year. Rooting for a new 3D Mario game to be released 🤞
Playing Exit 8 will actually be a great Super Kit and Krysta 64 moment! I hope you check it out together!!
Prediction. Capcom and Nintendo are remaking the legend of Zelda Minish Cap.
please not. I want Oracle remakes 😂
I'm wondering if the Switch 2 or whatever will have a SSD.
UFS 9.1, 256 gb built in. It is Flash, not ssd
I appreciate that there was both the optimistic and cynical side of the Switch 2 predictions. I think it touched on all the sides of the conversation.
We try to be as realistic as possible!
You should watch the Game Grumps play Exit 8! it was super fun
