I would say it’s a combination of that and also the same problem that plagues women in comedy. Not only are there less women doing it but a lot of women doing it get pigeonholed, either by themselves or the industry, into the same generic bs that makes up the stereotype that people think of when they think of a female rapper or comedian. A lot of Male rappers and comedians do the same thing but that’s where the number of people doing it comes into play and unfortunately the stereotype of a generic male comedian/rapper doesn’t revolve around them being men while the generic female rapper/comedian stereotype revolves entirely around them putting the mere fact that they’re a woman at the forefront of their music or only topic of their act.

Here is my attempt at motivation: My ex has been burned into my brain yes, and everything still reminds me of her to this day. Every day is pretty rough and it's been a year for me. So yes I understand fully your pain. However one silver lining is that, even though you look back on it with such nostalgia you also see how you messed up so much and your regrets become so palpable making you wish you had done things differently. Regret is a tool we can use for the future. (Atleast if you left on good terms) she wants the best for you and you want the best for her in the future. You can kinda see yourself as atoning for any mistakes you made with the one you miss by correcting them with future relationships. In a way you are being the best for someone in the same way you hope some other guy is going to be the best for your ex. This Is how I look at it anyways. At its core, relationships are merely evolutionary processes of mating. Tbh Cavs does the majority of the drumming on the Gizzard studio albums. Even though the band is known for the two drummer lineup, Cavs is THE drummer of the band. Most of work Eric does is business related. He manages the band, he owns the band's record label and distributes their music. wonder what's mean with better rapper. on a technical level, na, both genders can have terrible/great talent. Men do just outnumbers females and therefore there are great stuff out there but also more bad. However there is still a personal preference. So Melon hasn't heard Stage 6 of Everywhere at The End of Time yet? Well if he goes quiet for a while, we probably know why...
Alvin Lucier did that "experimental audio-art about time" thing first and much more effectively. Everywhere at The End of Time just get more popular because is the only exposure internet kids got of more conceptual works.
Nobody's saying this? NOBODY?
So i'll say it...
Fantano and Shawn Cee in a video once again please!
shoutout to lesbomancy on the patrons credit for being the best name i've seen this past minute
I don't think women are necessarily better than men at rapping, but I do think that in order to achieve the same success as their male counterparts women have got to be better than them (as some people say "double the effort for half of the credit"), so maybe that's why there are so many female rappers that stand out
I heard the first stage of everywhere at the end of time and without knowing about the dementia thing i noticed, that i couldnt remember a single song. Without knowing about the dementia theme.
I love how Melon says “BARS”
Tbh Cavs does the majority of the drumming on the Gizzard studio albums. Even though the band is known for the two drummer lineup, Cavs is THE drummer of the band. Most of work Eric does is business related. He manages the band, he owns the band's record label and distributes their music. The truth is is that Eric does more work behind the scenes the actually partaking in the creative process. So while Eric leaving the band is tragic, I don't think it will have a drastic impact on their sound.
No Anthony, you have to listen to Everywhere at the End of Time in one session, you experience the loss in memory as the passage of TIME, and you ruined your experience with the album by basically time travelling...
Everywhere at the end of time is genuinely the hardest listen I've ever had, it's so good but it's so harrowing to listen to
wow, anthony finally talks about hustle bones
anthony finally acknowledged death grips!
i love how the take in the title is literally the opposite of the take in the video
“Not to be sexist, but women are inherently worse at this thing” is such a dumb sentence
Especially when it’s upholding a stereotype lol
me if someone says something so incredibly stupid i dont feel capable of arguing with him 0:11
Anthony just doesn’t like male rappers because they are black smh
My favourite part of this is that it implies all female rappers are white
@@Herexton boom
Can u stupid?
@@Herexton galaxy brain layers on this stupid fantano comment.
His fav rapper is Kendrick
Anthony playing bass before these videos is like some guy chewing on glass before fighting someone like 100 pounds lighter than him.
Debbie Harry’s rap on rapture proves men are not better rappers.
5 tracks isn't a reason for an album to be a 10
Wait why are men and women swapped in the title of this vid when the hot take is the other way around?
Because it's clickbait. It's ironic that you're talkin about women and men switching with a young thug profile
I think the point is that fantano kinda turns the point around into his own hot take.
because both are equally silly and it doesn't matter
@@roxerg If it doesn't matter so much why comment
@@theflaggedyoutuberii4311 because y'all clowns think it matters
That bass was straight fire, melon. We want the EP damnit
Shawn Cee actually did a freestyle on one of his videos, think it was a reaction to the Jack Harlow freestyle.
After reading the title, that first one caught me off guard.
Let’s agree: losing a homie is twice as hard as loosing a girl
Because nobody expects their guys to switch up on them 😕
That’s why I’m homiesexual
@@yungpm AYEEEEEE
Not really tbh.
It depends on what homie and what girl???
i know it might sound weird, but anthony is like the dad i never had. when he talks this close to us i feel like his the dad i never got to have conversetions with
Hey Anthony! I really liked your video but when you said, "Men are better than women -- females should know their place in society," I thought that was a bit too much.
Ngl on that last point it makes sense to sue the estate more than the person if they were still alive imo. Cuz the people in the estate weren’t the ones who flipped the sample to make it poppin and the original people need the money way more
Ngl I’m actually starting to think woman are starting to be better rappers I’m kinda tired of hearing twenty dudes say “I came out the mud now I’m big rich”
The Money Store is still one of my go to workout jams
Me: I don’t know whether I should watch the let’s argue videos because they are basically people complaining to melon about why doesn’t he love their favourite rap artist and I really don’t care about rap besides a handful of artists so I won’t get anything.
*Watches the video anyway*
Me: So I like understood 2 questions
i dont know shit about most things you talk about but i just enjoy listening to you explain things so much, it makes me calm
Hey homie, you doing good? You holding up well emotionally during these troubled times?
What’s that album in the top left corner next to telefone by noname
Grey Area by Little Simz. I really liked the album.
I see your point, but saying Trap Bunny Bubbles is the best rapper of all time is a little extensive.
wonder what's mean with better rapper. on a technical level, na, both genders can have terrible/great talent. Men do just outnumbers females and therefore there are great stuff out there but also more bad. However there is still a personal preference. Dunno why but for me, i always tend to love male singers with deep voices while female singers are rather unpleasant. guess i'm sensitive to high notes so when for example Mariah Carry sings high notes i get a subtle version of that uncomfortable feeling when you hear the squeaking sound of chalk on a blackboard
"all the luck in the world to eric" dont worry, beginners luck is on his side
If you have only listened to the first few phases of EATEOT you haven't really experienced it. The first few phases are only a set up for the emotional impact of the middle/late-middle phases before it dissolves into chaotic nothingness.
I respectfully disagree about your EatEoT take: I think if you listened to the albums with no context, you could still understand a general theme of degradation, even if you may not comprehend that it's about MENTAL degradation. Source: went in sorta blind, did research and then relistened to it.
Lol can someone explain what happened at 2:15?
let's argue: anthony fantano has the worst comments section and fanbase on the internet and they aren't funny
Agreed
Critique Everything Are you saying that saying Simp and Moustache 84923688292832 times isn’t funny?
Let’s argue: We’re gonna make these comments no matter how unfunny other people think they are because we get enjoyment from it and that’s all that really matters on the internet.
^^ great funny comment!
Actual Fact Bot's comment section on Facebook is worse, IMO.
Fantano: I'd kiss you for posting this but you don't know where my mouth has been.
