Ok thank you i have a bunch of them but my grat Pyrenees digs my yard up and she kills them all but i just hate all the holesshe digs. Much appreciated brother. I love your bee hive content. I want to get into bees maybe sometime soon. But wife doesnt want them lol
Our dog tries to catch moles too! Digs at them but no luck! Keep talking it over with your wife about getting bees. Beekeeping is a very rewarding experience!
@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD yes i think so too. Im gonna keep on her till she says yes. God bless brother thanks for all you do.
@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD my great Pyrenees always diggs and gets them and kills them shes very good at it lol. my other dog tries but never succeed . Good night
Thanks!
We’re on a slight slope and haven’t had a mole problem until the last two years. I’ve seen holes in the garden and back lawn area about 2 inches across, and the ground isn’t firm anymore. It’s like walking on a sponge. Last year was much worse than now, but I still don’t want unwanted guests.
This is great info!
Thanks so much, ~~QM🇺🇸
Glad you enjoyed the video! They were even tunneling under the chicken coop here, I despise moles! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Voles are vegetarian and eat plants. Moles are carnivorous and eat worms and grubs. Great thing is that your method should work for both! Thanks!
Thanks for this great advice! I was so ticked off this morning because I had 7 good sunflower seedling plants going well and 4 of them were just pulled out and sitting on top of the soil. Not eaten in any way.... Weird! I sprayed repellent on the remaining ones.
I expect a certain amount of losses from pests. When you lose 20+ potato plants in just a few days, it’s game on then!
@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD agree! Sounds like you are ahead of get game now and it’s working well.
@THE OFF-GRID MOUNTAIN HOMESTEAD - I use a half cup of ammonia poured over two cups of the cheapest clumping cat litter I can buy. When I find mole hills and tunnels, I dig a hole into their tunnel, place a golf ball size mixture of ammonia and cat litter into the ground, and then gently cover the hole back up. The moles abandon the tunnel and move to someone else's yard.
Sounds like an effective method! I’ll have to test it out! Thanks! 👍 👍
PLEASE USE GLOVES WHEN USING cator oils of higher concentrate or Neem oil especially !
WASH RINSE REPEAT . It may not bother your hands but it does little hands, eyes , delicate skin . Protect yourself & them ❤ Your ideas are so promising ! Good advise about treating at night to prevent the leaf scorch !
Thanks for sharing ! ❤
Thankfully I’ve got a good owl population but it’s good to have extra way to get rid of pests
Our local predators don’t go after the moles for whatever reason. I had to take matters into my own hands!
Thanks for this video,, it’s very helpful
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Lost a bunch of potatoes this year to moles as well. Gonna give this a go...
It’s helped tremendously! Still no visible mole tunnels or damage since application!
if you have a small yard can you spray the entire yard
Yes you should be fine, I have a friend who sprays a 1/4 acre lot!
That foam canon looks familiar! I am actually having problems myself with moles right now. I am going to look for some that stuff to repel them. Thanks for the help! Also how are the tea trees doing?
That foam cannon is a trooper! 😊 The castor oil works great! Really surprised me at the effectiveness! Tea plants growing like kudzu in Alabama!
@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD sad I know about that. Glad they are doing well. I need to plant some. The way I like tea lol. Thanks for another great video!
If you dont want to use anti-bacterial soap you could use Johnsons baby shampoo.
Just had the antibac laying around! Any surfactant would suffice, I use car wash soap or old shampoo sometimes too!
I used castor oil and the moles started making more tracks. Is that an indication of moles moving away, or did I something wrong? I was advised to spray once a week till gone.
Hopefully they are making tracks away from where you applied the oil? This would be good.
Making tracks where you sprayed? I haven’t experienced that one yet so I’m curious as well to what’s happening.
😂thanks for the way to get rid of the moles3
Most welcome!
