It took patience but I got 2 voles! I also was putting out VoleX under the Yucca. BUT the 2 Voles were likely the main ones. I had 4 traps under 2 buckets. I removed all of the yucca leaves above grade and dug out most of it below grade and found their main food source at the base of the main stem at grade. I will remove the remaining root based on the weather. Grass is growing in lush due to the "aerating" of the soil by the voles! ;-} MANY THANKS!!

The voles seem to think my shade garden is their personal food pantry .One thing I have gound that works is covering the ground around my plants with river rock .
Another method that many old timers used to get rid of voles was a good 12 gauge shotgun with. .00 buckshot. Papaw used to sit in his rocking chair on the porch mornings and evenings just blasting away at any movement in the grass.
Interesting and thanks for watching! That may work shooting away from the home, a lot of the time these are against the foundation of the home with that being a tough option.

I have the little devils tunneling under the supports for my above ground pool. I’ve tried every deterrent. I even tried the blade drop type traps. Nothing seems to work. Their tunneling has actually created sinkholes under my pool liner. I actually drained the pool and will be doing a full liner replacement mid-Spring. I’m thinking i may need to pour deep concrete footings under the supports. And possibly use some sort of irritant in my sand padding under the liner.
I dont understand.. im doing all this, and in the morning the entrances are plugged shut, the traps untouched. So ill push the plug to the hole.. 6 hours later hole is plugged again...traps still set. And so on in a circle...ive tried gassing with my car, poison bait , flooding with hose, i also poured gas and transmission fluid down all the hole's, im going to the spca to get all the wild barn cars they have in the premises and try that next i guess.
