They treat this sweet baby so TERRIBLY. She is complaining about pain because she so badly wants attention.. this was very disgusting to watch, this is pure neglect! And all I see is sweet Punky Brewster which makes my heart wanna reach in the screen and just hug her.

My daughter has always been like this. She's 8 now, but always acted twice her age. With every new baby came huge regressions, because she never feels enough love and attention. We've done everything we can to give her special time, one on one play time, we talk to her constantly, engage in her interests. Mature girls seem to be really sensitive, so it's a lot of work. I feel for the mom, it's so good she was able to acknowledge what was actually happening.

That's what I was thinking :( so sad!
Doing anything "for attention" was considered bad in and of itself in my family! Even wanting attention was bad and was punished by days or weeks of silent treatment. I got the silent treatment for months when I was 8 because I had head-aches and this was interpreted as "wanting attention".

I was the oldest and I got the most attention. I was the "golden child", which really sucks, too. It's a lot of pressure and causes resentments from ones siblings.

I wonder if this girl is actually having phantom pains. When I get really stressed out about something I start feeling pain. I'm no expert but I think that maybe she's feeling some kind of phantom foot pains due to her emotional state right now.

I watch the episode and it it’s so sad at the beginning when she had to go to great lengths to get what she wants because nobody pays attention to her poor kid I hope did get the attention she deserved after the episode came out

That lil gurl just broke my heart i wanted to hug her n play with her so so much. If she is doing this so much then they should have realized something was wrong ,she is feeling left out and alone.That mom saying she doesnt know how to talk to her is crazy this lil one is very mature for her age and she understands so much more than other kids her age.

I acted like Kate as a 4 and 5yo. I actually did get leg cramps, but the coughing, gasping and awful anxiety... i remember this from getting no or negative attention from my dad, and having dad block my mum's attention when i was distressed and needed my parents.
This really brought back some crazy sad memories 😢

That's heartbreaking honestly it happens all the time and parents end up spanking and creating space between them and their own kids. Sometimes they literally just want hugs and snuggles. Kids can't tell us all the time correctly how they feel. She wants more mom time more love. Mom needs to take some time for her and dad needs to step up and help more with them. He just sits there. Watches his shows. That's just great parenting.
