love that video this adds to the song i knew Christmas gone be lit this year with over 50 songs to play just for Christmas and i just got an idea for next video a diatonic tuning selection guide that covers standard tuning standard minor tuning standard major tuning (sharp) then harmonic major and minor ive made a full set of standard tuning and i'm looking forward to build a set of sharps one in the marine band 1896 of course maybe after ill make it with thunderbirds too if i buy them id like to have 2 complete set with all the tunings possible in the diatonic i might even start repairing them and tuning them even customising tuning and appearance might be expensive to start the work shop about 3500$ for the 3d printer and the wood router CNC but it will let me fix, tune the plates and make new combs out of plastic or wood and i might end up making my own brand of harmonica's
It's great to have a few good Christmas songs in my back pocket for the celebrations. Thanks from Brazil, Luke. And hey, are there more video harmonica reviews in line? Maybe some Hering ones (allow me some nation pride with my FreeBlues) ? I love your video reviews.
Blowing holes 1-10 is all a C chord -14 is G chord, adding -5 makes it a G7 That's really all there is bro. We pretty much just have I and V chords on the harmonicas (or I and IV if you're playing in 2nd position, which just means using a C harmonica to play in the key of G) Hope that helps!
Thanks Luke it does! I am trying to understand the theory and nuances of 'music theory' applicable to the harmonica as I progress, albeit rather methodically! DV

@ 🤣🤣 maybe I’ll be able to play from memory by Christmas time
Muito bom
Thanks for watching!
love that video this adds to the song i knew
Christmas gone be lit this year with over 50 songs to play just for Christmas
and i just got an idea for next video
a diatonic tuning selection guide
that covers
standard tuning
standard minor tuning
standard major tuning (sharp)
then
harmonic major and minor
ive made a full set of standard tuning and i'm looking forward to build a set of sharps one in the marine band 1896 of course
maybe after ill make it with thunderbirds too if i buy them id like to have 2 complete set with all the tunings possible in the diatonic
i might even start repairing them and tuning them even customising tuning and appearance
might be expensive to start the work shop about 3500$ for the 3d printer and the wood router CNC but it will let me fix, tune the plates and make new combs out of plastic or wood
and i might end up making my own brand of harmonica's
do you have an additional channel?
Yeah I posted stuff on my funkyharp channel for like 7 years before I started doing content for Harmonica.com about 5 years ago.

De nada meu irmão! I have not heard of Hering. I'll look into it!
Love the shirt
Perfekt 🎉
Nice. Glad it's helpful for ya.
Luke... Just a question when you played the chords can you identify the chords: blow chords are C, and raw 12, 34 are G Chords? Slick
Blowing holes 1-10 is all a C chord
-14 is G chord, adding -5 makes it a G7
That's really all there is bro. We pretty much just have I and V chords on the harmonicas (or I and IV if you're playing in 2nd position, which just means using a C harmonica to play in the key of G) Hope that helps!

Why does it suddenly occurred to me I have only a g harmonica
Go buy a C harmonica ASAP!! www.harmonica.com/which-harmonica-to-buy/
@@Harmonicacom I'm on it

i have 4 C'S 3 diatonic 1 is for parts 1 is a back up
and the 4th is my chromatic Hohner 280c
and that's only 4 of the 10 functional one and in tune one i own currently and 17 ive owned and bought my self
and i had about 21 marine band 1896, a lot of Suzuki and there's were some i dont remember the brand those on the last line here were my grand father one's and he gave them all to me when i was 5 yrs old
but the C key will be the one you will use the most
i recommend getting a good one for the main set and a cheep on that decent for carrying around
and if you can get 2 or 3 that are the same this would be ideal
you would have one for being cautious about instrument care and playing well
one for practicing and one for messing around on the go
and remember if you can make a bad cheep instrument sound ok or good you will totally rock on a quality one later and be amazing
i had a Hohner set of 7 the piedmont blues 45$canadian it was awful difficult to play
as i had spent 16 years trying to play and never was able too i didn't want to spent 70$ on one harmonica and not being able to play
i went got the piedmont blues set i hated it but managed to play it decently bending overblows tongue blocking and all
when i switched back to the marine band 1896 after not owning one for 10 years i was blown away with what i was able to achive in less then 1 year ive learned over 100 song with 2 harmonica a C and B both marine band 1896
now i own 10 and i have a 7000$ studio just for it and i can't wait to get a sextet tremolo and a bass harmonica expensive yes but i feal like i got to fully master the thing now and it will eventually come to buying those 2 just not now
but yeah you chose what suits you're playing level style and budget
for me i just had a really long relationship with the hohner marine band so they will stay with me until i stop playing 23 yrs using the same harmonica model and im 28 so i might as well keep going but it all comes down to preferances
So annoying. Wasn’t notified by Yt.
Lol. Well you still got plenty of time to practice!
