Love how you’re dedicating a series to thick bass Entire reason I got a Minitaur. I got minilogue xd too. sometimes i wish i got a grandmother or sub37 but im gonna work with what i got for now. Cheers
Hell yeah glad you enjoy! I was super close to getting a sub 37 but ended up holding off. I do however have a sub phatty I’m gonna do my next fat bass video with.
The Minitaur is pretty close to the Sub37, I think they share a lot of the same basic audio circuitry, just the Sub37 has a lot more going on modulation wise and with the other options.
Nice, happy to see you using the keystep too, I have this exact setup, so this is perfect. Actually while I’m here, I’m having trouble with the arpeggiator. Do you have any tips? Thanks so much! Great video btw, subscribed for sure.
Hey Ponchy I been thinking of selling my Moog Subsequent 25 and getting a Minitaur sound instead..can I get the same bass sounds on my sub 25 as a minitaur?
Completely just for bass, Will the Minitaur out do the Subsequent 25? Bassist looking to add to my arsenal. Don’t need 37 keys or upper register. Just pure tone. Have it narrowed to the two mentioned. Many thanks!!
Well the Sub 25 much like the predecessor, the Sub Phatty, has a sub oscillator meaning you can blend in some of those sub frequencies which would technically give you more bass than the Minitaur, however it costs double the price. As far as budget goes, the Minitaur is amazing bang for buck and will still give you that deep bass that Moog is known for. Of course with the Minitaur you’ll need a midi keyboard too or a sequencer so there’s that. No prob and good luck!
@@Ponchy Thank you so much for the reply. Leaning towards the Sub 25. Wish I could try a Minitaur. But at the mercy of local music stores. Many thanks!

I had a Roland gr77b bass synth and all the oscillators were detuned for the presets - usually osc1 down, osc2 up

The Minitaur is great for bass sounds but doesn’t have a sub oscillator like the Sub 25 so keep that in mind.
How to get fat bass out of a Minitaur. Step 1) Turn it on.
This is 100% accurate.
YE keep it THICCC
Hell ye.
Nice video. Best synth for bass minitaur or grandmother?
Thanks! Ooh that’s a tough one but I would have to say Grandmother though if budget is an issue then the Minitaur does an amazing job too.
You might not like what I'm gonna write, but try a volca bass, save your money if you're looking just for a bass synth.
thanks. I have korg monotribe. it's cool, but volca needs good preamp, moog sound for me unbelievable.
I've played the moog subsequent 25. It was cool. Had nice lows.
Minitaur is fatter
tune, detune,tune,detune,tune,detune?
