Kiss, kiss, love, love.
No matter what generation of MH it is, the best MH is the one your first played.
Agreed. I love then all, but World is my home.
as someone who started with mh 1...hard disagree lol. you attacked with the right analog stick, camera with D pad, and monsters were annoying. the most annoying being rathalos with his flying away 20 times a hunt, leaving as you finally find him, and so on.
I started in tri and i think 4u and mh1 are the best
@@slimfastsubaru2043 yes. maybe not all.😆 but still it made you a mh fan up until now
Mh4U baby!!!
Ace Ventura when nature calls is one of my favorite movies
It is indeed a great movie.
Love world, Dropped Rise after completing all its content, Currently playing MHGU with the homie and loving it.
23:53 As someone who only had a 3DS and live somewhere the internet was rare to even have. Yeah it was satisfying as hell!
Even more when I started to lower my hunt time to sub 14 mins. It felt AMAZING to somehow raise my skill level to essentially overcome an entire living building WITH JUST 2 (relatively) SMALL BLADES!
Edit: found my old photos and edited my time lol. It was a long time ago
Stand proud my duals brother you are strong
0:16 and just like that, GU won you over lol.
Yo UNO!
Also about MHGU I'd say play in your free time, then if you get to a cool monster, maybe stream it so you can enjoy the game but not feel rushed to make content off of it.
Gotta say, that was the moment I knew I'd buy it. lol.
I think I'll do that. Between World, Rise and Wilds coming up, I already feel like I got a lot of content to work with. Thanks for the advice!
Big daddy UNO
Tbh people seems to have nostalgia glasses on for GenU/XX cause many newcomers didn’t know anything and needed an guide for example they didn’t know that story and hub quest were separate (they made them into one in world) and didn’t know about key quests (the certain quests needed to be down so you can get the urgent quest and go up a rank). The only thing I want from GenU is that valor strong charge draw for GreatSword
Not necessarily, I enjoy the fight more in old titles. It's get in my opinion to arkade and fast in new titles it's similar to the difference in old souls titles compared to new ones. Some people prefer one over another.
Rise Sunbreak has my favorite hammer move… The impact crater. It’s so satisfying when you hit it right
Yes, you have to play GU on stream. However, I would tell you to stick to World and Rise and try to finish the base stories (LR-HR) before playing Wilds. Then after finishing the Wilds story and main content while waiting for the DLC to drop you could do Iceborne or Sunbreak to try to finish their stories. I do I think this is the best course of action? MHGU is extremely difficult to get into, specially as a new gen hunter, not only that but it is the most content heavy MH game that still exist and as such trying to get across all of its content is a monumental task. Also GU doesn't have a story per say, its a celebration game with a ton of back to back monsters that are difficult from the get go, so, if you were to get into it and drop it be cause of a new Wilds update or Sunbreak/Iceborne you would then get lost as to what to do next in GU. This is one of the most confusing MH games Ive played, so much so that I had to get an app on my phone just to have a guide to follow and know where to find shit. I'm not even kidding it took me 2 weeks after quitting for a while to find my way into G Rank (MR equivalent) mainly because I had to access a new part of the game (hub) that was completely diff than the one I had access to before and it didnt even tell me.
Boy you chose the wrong game to enter, for old mh, best would've been mh4u, GU is not a game for newbee
For World you just need to beat 3 elder dragons (Val, Kushala (get ready for pain), and Toaster) and the story boss. For Iceborne there are 22 assigned quests. You are going to hate Kushala with every fiber of your body so bring your friend.
lol. I'll keep that in mind when the name Kushala pops up.
Just buy RDR on the switch Pokemon violet So u wont buy Mh for a while.
Hey I think I know that guy in the video! Thanks for watching! I'm really glad you liked it! If you do end up playing GU I really hope you enjoy it! As a few people have already said, the game definitely requires a guide for a lot of parts and there's a fair bit to get used to but I think it's a lot of fun once you do (as you could probably guess lol)
Anyway, regardless of what you chose to do, best of luck and happy hunting! o7
Thank YOU for such an awesome breakdown of the games. It's been a minute since I played MH and then I hopped back into it with World's. These types of videos really increase my knowledge and love for the game, so I appreciate it!
Would absolutely love to see you play GEN U , and possibly 4U.
Someone even requested Tri.
If you do get into gu just know there is a database app thing that tells you everything you need to know like where to get materials and what quests progress the story
Crooga u can get A batman blackpanther armor
i have not complete the whitcher quest or Gerald Mission yet its Holloween On world im just farming to get the Demonlord Vampire Outfit
Started with GU, then played World/Iceborne, then Rise/Sunbreak.
I love them all BUT GU takes the spot because how insane of a game it is, not only because is the biggest MH out there, but for all the reasons this video explained very well... it's an endless timesink, very hard but super rewarding with wonderful visuals and vibes.
GU is an anniversary title meant to celebrate the legacy of MH and you as a player truly feel the love the developers put in the game.
I mained hammer in Rise + Sunbreak, and while it certainly doesn't feel as impactful as World + Iceborne's hammer, it's still a great weapon to use.
I'm currently going through the hammer experience on Rise + Sunbreak right now. It's taking me a second to get into it, but I'm slowly starting to warm up to it.
GU is packed with content. I have yet to play it because i dont know if people still play. You should play this in the future but after iceborne and rise.
I agree. Maybe when I get a moment to breath between World/Iceborne, Rise/Sunbreak and Wilds.
There are definitely still dedicated people that play GU. Some people never left it for World or Rise lol. But like all Monhun games, the vast majority of the player base is in G-rank endgame, so you probably won't find many people along the path there sadly
take out The Ice Dragon & join. the Celebration
I believe that the best era of Monster Hunter(as of writing) is the 4th generation of MH. 4th Gen is 4 Ultimate for the 3DS and GenU for the Switch. While GenU is my favorite MH of all time it does have one really big downside. The Bloat. There are so many monsters in GenU the game moves at a snails pace at points. Especially early on. If you have a 3DS I’d recommend finding a copy of 4U and playing it, or emulate it, as I believe 4U is truly the best game in the series as of now.
I would absolutely play MHGU, BUT it is a big game with ALOT of monsters, I'd personally beat World + Icebourne before I'd recommend playing it. Also the transition from World to GU won't be easy, it wouldn't be a stretch to say they will feel drastically different at first. Old MH titles don't teach you well you kinda have to feel it out, also you will want a guide for MHGU. I hope that this information doesn't throw you off the game if you do decide to dip you feet into it, it is an amazing game.
Definitely can't commit to it yet, but I have it for the future if I ever get a chance to. Like you said, gotta get through World + Iceborne first.
World maps are not too large, they are just way too easy to get lost in. Wilds seems to be fixing itbwith the new 3d map.
GU is my favorite, and you have to try the prowler
I keep hearing the word prowler, but don't know what it is.
Great game, but it's more for people who haven't fought old school monsters, and it doesn't even have them all. It's worth it for all the monsters and the last boss.
Your comment feel disapointed while saying is worth it. I would say the game has the best combat and a great roster. It is very rewardimg two like getting hayabusa feather is like a very op item for making the effort to beat all low rank quests the con is that to get hayabusa feather you have to do the low rank quest. Id say the one true problem of gu is that it has too many quest and it feels like you have too many chores from lile 4 villages and the ship and the lab and everything is overwhelming for newer players.
But also once you get into it you just get more content and it feels like youll never get tired
GU is my favorite and Prowlers are awesome
Like people already said: It's time consuming af (no unlimited whethstones etc, have to gather and craft more stuff, but CAT MODE FTW ;d), so like: Maybe off stream and putting some fights on YT etc?
GU is a sort of compilation / anniversary game, like, there's like 90+ large monsters to fight xD But its fun, and theres tutorial quests for all weapons with all hunter styles, so might as well spend first hours checking out (aerial hammer is fun af, like whats not to like about flying bonk xd)
mecha monster Thsts A fun u need Hammer for dure On that Elemental arena battle
GU has 2 negative aspects, one being when a monster just decides to move zones every time you get to it, the other being lao shan lung
F that guy
Generations Ultimate? sure I played 3100hours I am happy to see more poeple play it despite its age, always a fun game and a love letter to fans
Holy shit, dude. Haha! I love hearing people's dedication to the game.
@@kitspytv and I love watching people diving into rabbit hole of this series even more!
I think 4 ultimate was the best which was the game before generations.
Gu is amazing for sure, but honestly any monster hunter game is the best even Tri and freedom, all MH games have their own feel and honestly it's just objective for everyone so just enjoy what ever you like that's the beauty of MH
when in doubt, play all monster hunter
When in doubt, hunter it out!
Monster hunter rise was such a fun game to play, was such a blast. Can't really understand the Hate that it gets
People hate how base game rise was
Personally I believe Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is the best MH game. The map you were praising at the beginning of the video was introduced in 4U. Too bad the 4U servers no longer exist.
I'm sad I missed out on the whole 4U craze.
@@kitspytv. It’s also sad because there’s a lot of monsters that originated from 4U that have never returned in any future game.
The best MH game is the one that you enjoy the most.
I wood like To. see swordsaw tail Blast monster in Wilds The Bomber can retire
Tbh, the best Monster Hunter game is not even Monster Hunter. Its the dozen other games made by other devs
00:01 "NOM"
Gotta always eat before battles 😉
MHGU is my favorite “play in between things” game. There’s SO MUCH content. Too much to do it all. So I’m just taking my time with it and playing it when I need a break from World and Freedom 1.
GU might be my favorite MH game? But I’m not sure. I haven’t played enough of 4U, FU, Portable 3rd, or 3U to know if those will displace it.
I started in Rise, so this is not nostalgia on my part. I like the greater intentionality from the older generations.
Welcome to the obsession 😂😂
Bro, the rabbit hole is DEEP
Generations is definitely a game you should play. But i dont think it is a great stream game. its more of a great game to take at your own pace and enjoy as it is HUGE
I think Gu works best if you do highlights instead of full streams
You're probably right.
I wood like To. see swordsaw tail Blast monster
True hunters played generations for the 3ds
Gen was on 3DS and Wii U, but from what I remember GU never was, just the switch.
get both games
I would buy GU to support Capcom, but I will never buy GU because the same is valid for Nintendo and FUCK NINTENDO! If they ever release it on PC I would buy it.
4U was better than GU. Beats the cheese out of GU.
Nagacrouga bat
