@@capspaulding it's a schedule or a plan on what will be done/added to a project in the upcoming months. it's nice for players to know there's something to look forward to which motivates them to play more

I noticed that it’s virtually required to have cook as one of the killers because of his padlock ability, if cook isn’t one of them the family players will leave.
It's because if Cook isn't there, the family cannot leave any lock for any amount of time unwatched due to the fact that a Connie can just open it instantly. The moment that happens, the game becomes almost impossible to 4k them due to how large the patrolling area for the family becomes now.
Cook is unfortunately needed atm to counter one of the most picked victims and until Johnny or Sissy get buffed, we won't be seeing that change.

@@Murphys_Law9 So have I, but that doesn't discount how required Cook feels to have chill matches as Family because the doors aren't nearly as vulnerable. When it's Sissy and especially Johnny, games go by really fast without Cook.
If you face a good victim team on comms, it feels like Cook and Hitch are a requirement to have a chance to win. Their powers actively work even when the killers themselves are far away.
I’m tired of cook and hitchhiker every game, is starting to get very boring
I’d also add a level 3 cook with all family see noise is too overpowered. If you’re the last victim being chased around, you have zero chance of escaping, with cook constantly hearing you.
They also need to refine the start match animations. We don't need a tutorial at the start of every match, and they could adjust the victim escape mechanics, so that we don't need to watch the Leatherface kill every time, it gets very tiresome.
Both the intro tutorial and grandpa cutscene need to be removed
As the Bubba player I dont mind it but I agree if you arent playing Bubba you should be allowed to start immediately
The game needs some kind of matchmaking. Max level players playing against low level players is too easy. Max level killers having low level teammates is a nightmare, and low level players don't want to get completely destroyed by max level players.

Being family getting low level player way worse than if you’re a victim. At least victims can solo escape, and win. If you get one bad family players, you might as well leave already tbh. Once I spawned and my teammate turned off the battery n walked out the escaping area without locking the door. I just left. No way bro no way. As a victim of a lelan wants to stab grandpa and get wrecked that’s his choice and I’ll escape as Julie in the Shadows

I think the lobby wait is the worst culprit. I'll spend 1/2 looking for a lobby then I go play another game...happens almost everyday unless I'm in a group.

Matches are way too predictable for me now. I loved the first few weeks of this game.
If it's taking them this long to release the new characters (that we know from the leaks were deep into development as far back as two months ago with many completed assets) then I can't fathom how long it will take them to add more new content after this. Six months, a year?

My main problem, and why I gave up after 30 minutes, is that there is no playable tutorial. I died 2 minutes after waiting forever to start a match, and I didn't even have time to figure out what I am doing, or what the controls are. There is 0 reason not to have a playable tutorial.
I realise noone talks about the kill animation bug, where you finish the animation and it pushes you through a wall and you become stuck for the rest of the match.

@@hyenabutter5279 - Must be extremely rare to happen when using the default execution then. I've mostly seen those that get stuck were from the Execution Pack, especially when they get the Victim on the stairs.

sadly I agree; I'm a console player and it takes around 3 mins just to find the match and then another 5 or so just for the teams to fill and everyone to ready up. I really enjoy this game as it's a nice change from dbd so I do hope they add more things for us to be excited about.

Can we talk about the fact that players don't have the option to return an item to the place you found it? For example if I grab a healing item by accident (because they might be located next to the tool boxes) I can't undo that action, the game forces you to get rid of that item in order to pick up another one, this can make you lose the game as a Victim when you run out of healing items (the swap option isn't a full solution to this problem I'm explaining)
They should’ve did something for Halloween, like we need Halloween costumes & at least put Halloween decorations on the map or something. That will be so dope!

We need more outfits more maps more weapons options. At least give us a battle pass or some type of event to keep us playing & have objectives $ challenges for us to do.

The game literally relies on having good teammate, the only way your gonna have a valid argument saying otherwise is if the family is bad, games also not very much beginner friendly not just because your expected to remember all these types of information like fuse locations along with fuse box locations learning how to navigate basement etc but then theirs bad matchmaking you’ll buy the game tomorrow and play against players that have had the game for months, playing as family is even worse with randoms because theirs only three if yah with 4 different exit points you have to constantly worry about, this game doesn’t hold a candle to a game like dead by daylight and it’s sad because I was excited when the game got announced
Another map or 2 would go a long way to keep the game populated.
If you think of it from the movie perspective, there were only three locations.
The fact they released DLC before fixing the major issue of matches not even starting is very worrying. Just fix the perk system so they can be saved and spent on any perk/character rather than forcing players to always be a certain character. Make Leatherface immune to all attacks. Remove the grandpa cut scene. Hide the levels of the opposing team in the lobby. Reduce the countdown clock to 60 seconds but have it only start when the lobby is full. More maps for definite, but also more random changes on the current maps. Make fuses and the valve wheel be removed once turned off by the family so the victims have to find another. There really are so many ideas from the players to make this game better and last longer, but I worry very few of them will be implemented. When this eventually leaves Gamepass I think that will impact a lot of the player numbers too.

That part about the close encounters is so true. Thats why I literally look around and make sure I go into a far away corner before I close encounter because its so cheese that even when it says you won they can still get that undeserved kill. Also I believe the close encounter perks are bugged too cause for example fight and flight activates way too early before the animation is over so you literally aren’t getting half the value of the perk until you have it level 3. I need to test fight back but I can imagine its the same issue.
This game is going exactly how I expected it to. Shiny new DbD competition that everyone loves. Shiny new feeling wears off, people have hundreds of hours in the game and then the imperfections show themselves because people have learned the game. I remember when "the devs are focusing on fun, not balance" was touted as a boon. If you want to create a live-service game you need to have a consistent stream of new content, even if it's just events/skins. The likes of DbD, Overwatch, Apex, etc, have all survived on steadily releasing new content over time. (and Overwatch almost killed itself going on a two year content draught.) New maps, new characters, new skins, new game modes... The fact that it's an established IP that they're stuck within confines with doesn't help since the amount of content you even CAN add is minimal at best. Honestly, because it's a singular established IP, the life expectancy isn't long for this world. And it's a shame, because it really is a fun game

Dude, it's been 3 months. That's average time for dlc drops, people just need to wait. They've also shown that while the game needs to have TCM themed characters and such, they're not limited to characters in the films. They can make new characters like Sissy, Johnny, Nancy, etc. so that really isn't an issue. The issue is with a fan base that can't wait to save their lives.

Playing the same few maps with the same few characters for hundreds and hundreds of hours, a lot of which are spent looking for lobbies isn't conducive to a long-lived live service game. Before the most recent content drop the player count was consistently right around 1000, and frequently as low as 633-800 on steam. It spiked to 3.5k when the new content released, and has since lost half of that gain in the span of 24 hours. Shiny new thing isn't shiny and new anymore, and with such little base content and tons of other games as competition, it's no surprise.

As a ps5 player... I concur... As soon as i get on the game... After the first 2 lobbies I'm... already burnt out. I was hoping they would release the new characters around this time, but they haven't... Last week i was trying so hard to grind and level up cook and my god it took forever, it really sucks how this takes so long to leveling up perks and abilities.
It doesn’t take that long if you actually know how to use the perks…. Skill issue.

I talked about a lot of this recently myself. I agree with all the things you're talking about except the parties. Every game shows parties, no reason to hide it.
Actually the problem to me is the time for start to play, when you play family you match in 5-30s and 30s - 3mn for survivor (in PlayStation probably because before the last patch family is not worth for xp)
And some time you return in matching because some dodge for no real reason

I think you must have a sub 100 iq cause at its core it’s a asymmetrical horror game. And u can easily fix the problems. Let the family members choose where they spawn. With that one family member be required to spawn in basement. Y’all are so wrapped in leatherface when he’s not even the best killer in the game, hey let’s play mk1 or street fighter 6 but make it to where scorpion is required to fight, or ryu is required to fight in sf6. This game cause of that and all the sub 100 IQ ppl will have to find something else to play

11:10 I'm sure the grappling event is made that way for the family so if the other is winning they don't intervine but if they lose then they get the kill. That's what I do as family is wait and see who wins because of the achievement.

Tbh ppl complained about cross play were pc users. Everyone else was alright. No offense I use pc too but hardly online, unless it’s co op. That cheating hacking real turn off pc gaming online. Last game I played online on pc before I had enough was battlefront 2 , sure enough the online died after hacks
Another thing for me personally is I get about an hour or two to play a couple nights a week. I've got a little one and a 50+ hour a week job so playing this game like a sweat is not in the cards. The fact that I'm a level 19 and get paired with level 60+ every damn match really pisses me off. Every victim is my level and all the killers are sweats and I don't feel like leaving the lobby cause it takes 10 years to get a new one. I'm starting to learn the maps but we get destroyed because these killer have level 3 everything, it's annoying. I don't need SBMM but at least level based. Alright I'm done bitching lol

You must be picking family then. Picking victim however takes awhile. Also, just because you can find a match doesn’t mean the other players in the lobby won’t leave. The timer resets to 1:30 every time someone leaves. That’s another annoying thing. Leavers should be penalized.

I don't know if I agree with no content, but yeah queue times are ridiculous and progression feels stale. They could have definitely done a bigger update for Halloween so they did miss out on that; but we do know a new family member, victim and map is coming out. Sadly we just have to sit tight for now. Overall I do agree with the in game issues for sure not so much on the content end though.
The only content we've gotten is overpriced cosmetic dlc? Is that even content? No.

Leland players are toxic so the one shot kills on encounters feel totally justified lol but I know it will never happen but maybe give Johnny an axe to chop down tables and start him underground instead of picking bubba

Agreed, the killers have so many advantages. Escape from family should average around 30-40%.the killers should have advantages and kill more often than escapes but there are so many bottle necks for family to trap and camp that escaping takes a near miracle. also basement rushing is so broken and the victims don’t really have a counter it really kills the fun when 30 seconds in you have 3 killers in the basement. They need some proper balancing.

@@LostSignalsMusic Yes and as you mentioned the balancing, what I don´t like is that instead of you find opponents which are on the same overall level like you it can be also level 99, or that mostly players are for some reason at the beginning of the match very noisy and woke up Grandpa and this can have fatal consequences, if you know what I mean?
There’s also a TON of games coming out the past week or two going into November. So they’re probably on Spider-man 2, Alan Wake 2, Lords of the Fallen, etc
Need to make lock picking harder and only 1 lock pick per toolbox for each character. 2 people can still use the same toolbox but only 1 time each.
Been saying game is dying month ago. Added fact some of the advantages that victims get in game that are plentiful (gaps, crawl, time start valve tank, no sell perks, no disadvantage on op perks compared to family who have alot of disadvantage on their perks, etc) which cause the over abundance of victims players to family that is causing the game to be a lobby simulator. Hell no to winning close counter and getting immunity to the event. Victims have hella advantages and win way over 90% of the encounters anyway while fam has nothing really to win those. This is the only thing that gives the victim high risk while everything else in the victim corner is low risk.
He clearly mentioned only after you win the close encounter and your stuck in animation how is that fair if the victim already won the close encounter and there clearly not even grappling anymore how is it fair to still be 1 tapped while your waiting for the win animation to finish
8 maps for a brand new game. DBD released with 3 maps. They can do maps over time, that's too much lol
The Devs certainly have a skill issue. How can you make 2 games F13 and TCM and both games were full of bugs and glitches. I stopped playing when all my characters went to 0. Idc that I could re level up the skill tree. Thats a waste of my time!!

Yeah, I think they should have a campaign to go along with it.
Well things I dislike is the matchmaking that mostly if you want to play as victim it takes by far longer than play as family, and also that it takes forever with the XP until you reach lvl 3 for the abilities, or that players eventhough they are all in the lobby they mostly didn´t ready up directly, and you have to wait unnecassary. Also about abilites and perks they didn´t stack up. And about new content it´s been announced that it´s coming, but no dates at all, also the developers have only the rights of the original 1974 movie, not from the others.
For me on pc it dosent take that long maybe 1 min or less

The only problem I honestly see with this game are the players that turn up their brightness to the max level it gives them a ridiculous advantage over those who play the game with the brightness at the recommended level which is to where the logo is barely visible.

I hate playing family and within the first 3 seconds of the game Grandpa wakes up immediately. Just remove the cutscenes and change how grandpa is awoken.
They need at least 2 maps by November and 3 maps in January 2024

Single player Texas Chainsaw would be pretty awesome ngl. You’re playing as one of the victims to escape but in a bigger map, more realistic animations for the characters. More alive you know, but I guess their company can’t afford that type of game for us. Our mind works different than there’s which is embarrassing I would say

I think people who get into ques but not ready up should get a badge of shame. Every time it happens their badge gets upgraded and they have to wait a full five minutes before it will even go into a que. If their badge gets to lvl 3 they load into a solo game

I agree most if the part but i think your opinion about close encounter would be really make this game unfair for family as you can already win close encounters in less than 5 seconds with leland using the %50 perk. So that animation after you win the close encounter has to still make you killable.

the random perk change needs to happen. I have been trying to get 3 specific random perks on Leland for 3 days now. Every day I try for about 30 minutes. Haven't been able to get them yet.
Also, why can't we choose a new perk tree for a second or third etc. loadout.

They need some sort of matchmaking change so the casual players who play every now and then on console don’t play against the sweatlords who have played this game all day every day since it’s released and escape in like 4 minutes
I don't agree with some of your points but I agree completely about the bugs, there are so many collision and perk bugs that you would think is an alpha or beta.
They need to at least have more game mode options, I was thinking leave everything the way it is but add on. So there could be a game mode where there are all leatherfaces for killer side, or no leatherface, also add another victim to the mix so it's 5v3. The game is more killer sided anyway so 5v3 would be nice, I wish they would buff the victims as well because I always feel I have to use a health perk and MUST have choose flight. I do not mind going loops and loops escaping killers, try's and try's to escape. I mean it all comes down to the player if they want to pursue the kill or leave, or if the victim wants to escape or give up. I'd rather keep going for it than having to die quick and try again. I mean btl said it himself that the trying to get in a game takes long, so maybe that would be a solution.
at the highest level it is victim sided, 4 victims on comms >>> 3 killers on comms and yes, even on family house vs trapper/cook comp

I haven’t even played a match yet lol feelsbadman. Bought it like day one but just never got around to playing it. (Or any games recently for that matter).
they needed maps and characters already ready for release when the game came out or at least almost finished. Just to keep the momentum of the game going.
They need to update how long it takes to get into a game. The queue, setup, and load in screen are way too long i spend more time getting into a game than actually playing. it’s mad annoying especially if you happen to die fast then u gotta wait all over again.
Maybe they could introduce ranked to make it more interesting? They could have a quick play and ranked and for the qp they make the time to get into a game faster. But keep the ranked queue and load in times the same to keep that consequence of dying and actually make ppl wanna play seriously in ranked.
They NEED to work on balancing the game. I play victim and family so my opinion is unbiased, but victim is deff way harder. I feel like i’m playing easy mode when i play family. Yeah i’ll get a 4 stack that rushes every few games which is something they need to somehow combat on the victims end, but most of my games i get a 4k EVEN WHEN ANITHER FAMILY MEMBER D/C. They can combat this by giving the family members more consequences in the same way that dying or getting caught has major consequence for victims. Like unless i’m playing ana i die in like 3 hits cause of one shot LF or max savagery jonny etc.
This game is dying mad quick i feel like they need to hurry up and add something to keep that momentum that they had. These r just my opinions and i wanna see this game continue to grow bc it has AMAZING potential.
After they fix the bugs and lobby waiting problems I like to see dynamic raining
Man it takes me I kid u not over 25 mins to play a game either leather faces keep joining the lobby and leaving immediately after noticing they gotta play him then the rest of the lobby leaves and eventually no one joins and the whole lobby dissolves and it’s back to looking for another lobby for the same shit to happen again
I called it when released, $40 bucks was too much, they needed a quick massive playerbase to snowball like DBD, now its a small game that will skowly die
I think it is facing a similar thing to F13 where that game did have a drop off point after the first couple of months. But it had a loyal fanbase who while criticizing bugs and issues were still having fun with the game. I agree that things need to be fixed and more needs to be in the game, but I'd be lying if I said I'm going to stop playing. I've been having a blast.
I just hope that a roadmap is made to help keep us enlightened on what is coming and I honestly think they need something big to get people to come back to this game. I know they would have to get the rights, but could you imagine they add the 2003 remake map with skins? People would be so hyped. I think if they don't figure out how to keep people engaged by the end of the year, it's just going to further decline which will be a shame because it is so damn fun.

one simple thing, only 3 maps after 3 months, and even with the new one supposedly this month, only 4 maps is too little. maps is the most need thing.
Another thing is how family sided this game is. Victims escape like 2 times out of ten
I wish I could escape that much. Everytime I'm close, I end up being last victim with Gpa at level 5.

I needed 2 random perks for a build I wanted and it took me 78 tries. I just about quit the game for good.
Oh I was on last night and as bubba got the first kill in I’d say 4 matches…. Then the damn thing freezes because they DC. Pisses me off.
Pc players are killing the game. Too many hackers, and sus moments when I’m playing against pc killers. Knowing exactly where I am without any information and somehow being able to catch up to me super fast.
It’s just the fact they didn’t release with a lot in the game, also there is nothing really to grind for to wanna keep leveling, the character builds are boring and you can’t use a lot of perks like only 7 or 8 you can use out of the whole perk tree is lame
Got this for a birthday gift to myself and I was loving it at first but now I may play one or two matches then I'm done. The grandpa cut scene should be cut do maybe a sound letting everyone know he's awake. But to me is the games cause I'm only level 19 and the family would be level 80+ nearly all the time so I'm killed quickly and can't get any xp at all so it's going to take me longer to level up. Maybe if they put in something that when you get into a lobby you're matched with people around your level and what you said maybe do a thing which you pick your character first before you go into a lobby would help cause I've had matches someone will join can't get the character they want so leave and most of the time the timer runs out and we're right at the main menu again. This can be a great game but the devs need to do somethings or no one will be playing.
the game is going to die like evil dead. The devs got more than they expected so they don't care for the state of the game.
I love how you complain that there’s not enough content and then also complain that you have to roll random perks for an hour to get the “best” build. There are so many different builds that you can do. That may not just be meta /guaranteed escape build.
It is normal for games to peak at launch. Especially TCM coming from a popular background/era. Who’s never heard of Texas Chainsaw Massacre?
It is worth noting that this game, is by no means close to its potential. There are so many bugs to fix, glitches to smooth, metas to create. It fits perfectly as it’s own niche within a relatively low-competitive genre of horror games.
I would like to see how victims and family constant adapt and change, waves of metas being killer and victim sided.
But we cannot get there with a broken a** game, lobbies that don’t start, and most of all 17$ one skin cosmetics. That you can’t customize.
A list of some needed changes
- Grandpa cutscene
- UI interaction (grabbing health trying to get a lockpick)
- Getting stuck in animations
- Delayed animations (going through gaps)
- Cook lvl 3 AFSN
- Cosmetics with justifiable prices
