I own a 1998 and a 2003 isuzu NPR. I bought both of them new and still use them today. I'm very pleased with the service they have given me. I have kept them garaged and they still look new today.
I drive one. It's a traffic management truck. Slow but very smooth. Love jumping in it realfast. The above head storage will get you right in the face .
nice truck. i used to drive few older model isuzu like this with manual transmissions. and they never let me down. but i have never tried one with def, it was not required from where i live.
The Isuzu truck uses a steel fuel tank which rusts internally. Their fuel filter head gets clogged with rust and puts the truck into limp mode. $12-$1600 dollars later they will fix it with a chemical liner. The liner doesn’t address the enormous fuel sending unit. It caused the same problem. I put my own fuel filter on it and solved the problem. They have had this problem a long time and have never corrected it. Why should they it will be out of warrantee and you’ll have to pay to fix it. The paint on mine is 1k and doesn’t have a clear coat. That means with just a rag and water it wipes off. I repaired over a 100 rust spots on the roof because the paint is so thin. Virtually ever place it has a spot weld it will rust. The rest of the truck has been strong. Currently it has 150k. I’m not sure I would buy it again but if I did I would add a 2k clear coat and my own fuel filter replacing their piece of junk.
Isuzu has out done Mitsubishi in Kenya, except mitsubishi(mahewa), the rust issue is true though didn't realise the fuel pump issue with the Easy Shift. The Mitsubishi mahewa(10 wheeler) is the Bush and rural Kenya monster.
These trucks are garbage 100,000 miles I've had 25 different break downs I'll give a few radiator cracked top. Brake master cylinder died water pump gone. Oil line failed leaked out almost blew motor heater core lines failed damaged motor goes on and on they are garbage run
It depends on how to maintain bro. Maybe you dont know even on how to change its oil .you such a dull kind of driver bro.bcoz isuzu its my best truck brand by its durability.

I drive one of these. Insanely reliable and they can turn on a dime. A little more power wouldn't hurt.
How do you keep it idling..?? Does the cruise control work when parked?
@@heikkidtw5992 I believe you are talking about the idle stop. When she stars beeping I tap the gas. Never used the cruise control.

Once they get over a hundred thousand miles parts one after another break down easy in a two year period I've had 25 break downs run from that junk
