Damn...I just realised this story takes place directly before The Reaping. Sure, Peri ends up taking a break from the Doctor, and goes to college. But **damn** does the lead-up to it hurt more in hindsight...
Considering the many lengthy scenes in Season 22 of Peri and the Doctor bickering, one wonders why Eric Saward never thought to include a conversation like this.
For obvious reasons when animating Doctor Who, the missing episodes take precedence, HOWEVER, when the missing episode animations are finally done, I hope we get animations of the audio adventures. There are so many Doctor Who audio stories the majority of which are great and deserve attention.
I'm honestly now kind of glad that Tales from the TARDIS didn't tackle this issue, because the way that The Quin Dilemma deal with it is done superbly. It is nothing but the Doctor and Peri expressing what needed to be expressed, with the wind being the only soundtrack needed. This is a wonderful moment, and it is beautifully animated. Well done, Josh!
I do wish modern Doctor Who would stop treating the Doctors like they're separate entities. That is the antithesis of why this show was magical when I was a little kid in the 80s.
Well, this is not exactly true... Because even in classic who we see the Doctor treating himself as another person, Sixth, for exemple. And in New Series, we also have exemples of the Doctor thinking he old selves as him, like in the Day Of The Doctor or The Girl Who Died. There's a lot of this duality trough the show
Now here's a challenge: Make an full animation for every single Eighth Doctor audio since Storm Warning! In all seriousness, an Eighth Doctor animation would be fantastic I would obsess way too heavily over it.
Six and Peri were always my favourite Tardis team, I’m so glad Big Finish gave them the character development they deserved and justified Peru’s decision to stay with the Doctor after every thing he put her through. Great work with the animation too, can’t wait to see what you do next.
This is gorgeous! It is a little weird to be hearing all the crows, sparrows, and other birds happily chirping away in the dead of a snowy night, though. 😄
I've always wanted to hear, and see, that scene and now I have 😊 Thank you Big Finish, Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant for this wonderfully written and acted scene. Also thank you Josh Snares for animating it. 😊
Brilliant as always. I would love to see these stories added to the DVD collections so that we could watch them on that collection or collected set to have a little more closure. I don't think that's going to happen but it would be nice
I had a dream where u uploaded a video that was completely unscripted and it was about a Blu-ray box set that came out and secretly found episodes of Doctor Who, making all those stories found. The found episodes were "Marco Polo", "The Daleks Master Plan", "The Smugglers", "The Tenth Planet", "Power of the Daleks", "The Macra Terror", "The Abominable Snowman", and "The Web of Fear"
For how she had a death scene in trial of a timelord mindwarp and then you see her alive in terror of the vervoids...they should have made her a timelord like Romana without the doctor knowing at first that way she could've had been with mel but with a second incarnation to be played by Australian which named Fiona Horne aswell.
Recently, I came off methadone. Coming near to 50. This scene has more meaning. It may be a relationship between characters unfamilar to a lot of people now, outside of Doctor Who fandom, but, a scene like this, can be related by anyone. There comes a time when we all have to REGENERATE as people and MOVE ON. It's a scary thing to do, at any age, but, change will come not a moment too soon.... one way or another. “We all change, when you think about it. We’re all different people all through our lives. And that’s OK, that’s good, you gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be.” Weird the more older you get the more you see and understand things which were there for SO LONG before right in front of you? I saw that on a TV show once.... You'd like :)
Did someone knew that Disney+ changed the trailer for Doctor Who in ther platform? They replaced the David Bowie song for something more sombre. Also, in the scene with the Doctor screaming in space from inside the Tardis now you can see that Mel is behind him and the inside of the Tardis has been replace by the memory Tardis from Tales of the Tardis.
Why did Peri Stay With the 6th Doctor is a Mystery When the 5th was Better then him in Every Way, She's Still With him in Tales of The Tardis where the Old Companions Reunite with the Old Doctors.
Why does Peri stay with him? Easy, because she wouldn't want to be stuck on some faraway planet. Certainly not somewhere like Varos or that dump of a place in Timelash.
Are you doing a full version? I don't know if you are interested in suggestions...but the 7th Doctor stories Enemy of the Daleks and The Magic Mousetrap would be wonderful choices for animations...
Once again I commend you on your efforts Josh, YOU and ppl like you are the future of this franchise right now. The ppl who in charge atm just wanna burn it all down
You could call it artist license. John Nathan Turner semmed to want to put so much emphasis on her physical appearance, that maybe in scene focused on her character, it makes sense to dial that back.
I am glad Big Finish had the maturity to give Six and Peri this sort of conversation. It’s wonderful to see animated too!

Yeah I hope after the missing episodes are done they move on to more projects. I love the animation range!
Even the web of fear animation?!
Why Peri slayed 💅
Literally my brain keeps autocorrecting to that 😅

I always thought this took place during the day but seeing it a night is just alot better.
One of my favourite 6/Peri Moments.
Totally set during the day, I just wanted to do some lighting tests haha
@@JoshSnares fair enough, it looks fantastic

Great scene! A conversation that was loooonngg overdue!
Forty years overdue!!
This conversation was the best thing about this release.

As someone who is currently watching through Colin's era... I needed this.
Love how it deepens the characterisation!
Stunning work, I really do wish that big finish would give you clearance to do full length stories, I would definitely be watching out for more.
This is gorgeous!
It is a little weird to be hearing all the crows, sparrows, and other birds happily chirping away in the dead of a snowy night, though. 😄
I just DESPERATELY wanted to do an Aurora 😅😅 maybe on this planet the birds are awake at night! Haha
@@JoshSnaresUnderstandabe. I'm glad you did!
Sixth Doctor has always been my favorite so I'm loving these!
I hope you take this as a compliment, but I swear, if Ricky September put on some glasses, he could be you, my man!
Gorgeous work Josh! This is one of those scenes we’re so lucky to have big finish for. Thanks for animating it!!
This is fab Josh! Thank you for putting the effort into this
I've always wanted to hear, and see, that scene and now I have 😊 Thank you Big Finish, Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant for this wonderfully written and acted scene. Also thank you Josh Snares for animating it. 😊
Amazing! Thanks for animating this Josh. So wonderful to hear and see this.
Fabulous work, well done! Now please do Web 3 😊!
omg not web 3 💀
No pressure, but I do hope that means you’re working on the full animation. You big tease! ❤
Nah just this one scene sorry
@@JoshSnares 🤫 If you say so… ❤️ 🤞
Very nice animation. Happy 40th for the 6th Doctor and Peri. 🌹
Oh wow. This was always a great scene but now its so much better. The animation is amazing.
I really need to get back to Big Finish. Those stories never dissapointed, which is more than I can say for the TV show in the last decade.
I love the visuals you add to these scenes, I've been falling behind on some of the newer big finish stuff but you made me want to get caught up!!
Beautiful work Josh.
A wonderful scene to animate. It explains so much. You did a great job with this Josh!
This is beautiful!
i enjoy the light touch that you lend to scenes like this.
Great work Josh! A lovely scene to choose.
Great work as always
You are one very talented young man. Well done, Josh!
This looks amazing, I was hooked.
Also not heard this audio drama yet but now I want to
That was so much more acting than either of them were allowed to do for two seasons. And they killed it
That's still more time than the Harry Potter films.
Coming sis, friendly greetings, good luck always.
This is really splendid. ^__^
Awesome animation
A fantastic dialogue coupled with lovely visuals - inspired as always :)
Well written scene. Good characterisation of Peri.
Oh I love this!
This scene touches my heart so much
Josh just want to say love the animated doctor who stuff 😊.
Brilliant as always. I would love to see these stories added to the DVD collections so that we could watch them on that collection or collected set to have a little more closure. I don't think that's going to happen but it would be nice
Brilliant stuff as always
Wonderful work. Thank you.
I loved this set and i loved thiis scene ❤
Absolutely awesome ❤. I love these animations and Big Finish a big thank you ❤❤❤
Great writing, though I wish they would turn down the wind and put in just a little music. The animation you put on it was lovely!
Josh Snares does it again!
I don't cry easy.
Doctor who has made me cry like...MAYBE twice.
SO WHY AM I TEARING UP
Superbly done, I knew that my subscription was not misplaced
This exact exchange is what the show was missing.
Nice work on the animation
My favourite doctor Colin baker sixth doctor he was awesome !😍😍😍😍
Fantastic stuff!
Play your cards right Peri and you might be able to marry Brian Blessed. Peri's alive?!

I must ask what your using to make these. They just look so good!
I used Adobe Character Animator :)
Oh Peri…
Why did Peri Stay With the 6th Doctor is a Mystery When the 5th was Better then him in Every Way, She's Still With him in Tales of The Tardis where the Old Companions Reunite with the Old Doctors.
Wow! Is that Nicola Bryant? Her American accent and acting abilities are much improved! Good for her!
She’s brilliant with Big Finish! I think she’s brilliant on the show too, of course!
When Peri started going off the Doctor should have just said "Ermm what the sigma" and then punted her in the face.
I’m too old to understand any of this
I wonder if you do the end of the line where the master's reveal using his remote avatar
Why does Peri stay with him? Easy, because she wouldn't want to be stuck on some faraway planet. Certainly not somewhere like Varos or that dump of a place in Timelash.
didn't have enough space on your hard drive for Peris, uh assets? (o)(o)
I have a request, can you compare Fury From The Deep's original version and the animated version?
Are you doing a full version? I don't know if you are interested in suggestions...but the 7th Doctor stories Enemy of the Daleks and The Magic Mousetrap would be wonderful choices for animations...
Nah I’m not doing a full version

no offense, but you made her chest too flat.
