I had a 1992 Civic Si. Leased it for 60 months and ended up buying at the end. Most fun car I've ever owned in 50 plus years of driving!
You need to test drive some other cars man lol.
@@r3games19855 year lease ?
@r3games1985 it was fun blowing away full size pickups with it!
Honestly I would buy an Accord previous gen 2.0 in stick. The Accord is the Goat and peak Honda performance. The Civic Si has been at 200 HP for a long time because Honda knows if someone turns up the boost it will blow up the engine. The Accord 2.0 has an engine close to the Type R which can withstand modify it.
@dwdwalcott6 the 2013 Accord v6 coupe I owned was quite a sleeper too. EX-Leather with nav.
I just got a 2024 Si earlier this year and I absolutely love it. It’s perfect as a daily and fun to drive when you want to be quick. The auto rev match is a game changer for driving in LA. Makes it a lot easier.
I had an 07 civic si. 7500rpm high reving fun. Cost 21k. I'm not a fan of a tiny turbo engine.
do you still have your beautiful 8th gen?
@McDzy sold it...... to my mother. Now it never hits vtec. Lol
@@darksi226 nooooooooooooo hahaha. tell your mom to sell it to me. thanks haha
@McDzy never had any issues. 32 mpg and no turbo. Ripped that thing to so many red lines, but never had any suspension or drive train issues. Switching to mini turbos seems so lame. You know who can turbo? Subaru! Been doing it forever, and the reliability shows the outcome.
@@darksi226 My thoughts exactly... Atleast turbo the 2.0 or 2.4k series instead of the 1.5 lol
I bought mine new in 2023. Most fun car I've ever owned.
Kudos to Honda for making manual transmission cars. The shifting is still excellent.Too bad the clutch is so light, but it's been that way with Honda products for over 10 years.
Nashville native here… you found a good road 😂. I drive a 22 civic and get to dodge pot holes every day. I’ve put that poor car through some stuff with how bad the roads get sometimes, especially if they plow the roads
Like for MANUAL
I just bought a 22 si with 7k miles on it and I love it first manual and one of my best investments
Save the manuals!!!!!
Why is everyone hyping up the '25 but not the 22-24? 😂 it's the same thing
I really wish the entry model cars had manual transmissions optional. Now the only thing the budget cars get is those horrible CVTs. I've never driven a car with a CVT that I liked.
Really enjoying my 24 Si but there’s no denying it’s over priced and severely underpowered. Handles great and shifter is fantastic though!
Needs some more power like 225hp to 240hp
I agree it's over priced. But I enjoy my 24 Si. I don't need that much power as it's my daily but it's fast enough. I purposely bought a 24 because of my 2 favorite basketball players. Kobe 24 and the GOAT MJ 11th gen for his 11th shoes space jam. ❤❤❤😊
Old school Honda fan here: This new Honda with the 1.5T engine is a hard pass for me. Good looking car, tho.
I just bought it with the exact same colour and I love it!
In the price…you forgot to mention the 4000 dollars markups added by the dealership….plus taxes and title. So we are talking about 40 to 41K out of the door.
Depends on the dealership, in Colorado it was 39k out the door. Found one in another state and it’ll 32k
I found one in Tampa for 28k and after license and registration was only 30k OTD
@@xPangu gosh damn
I wish it had a little more power. Even just 215 220 would be nice
Honda have turn down the spec on paper… Most people get around 220hp at the wheel on dyno Bone stock!!! That mean even more at the crank!!!
Honda Civic Si’s where I live are marked up $12,000 dollars. I’d love to get this car but for the price I’d rather get a GR Corolla.
Do a 300 mile radius search & buy out of town
Daily driving the closely related 23 Integra, I can say that I really wish I had rev match into 1st. I very regularly come up to a light that just turned green and only slow down to about 3-5mph and this would be great. I could go into 2nd instead, but then I need to keep in the clutch a bit until it's closer to 8-9mph and I don't want the extra wear from holding the clutch unnecessarily
My biggest complaint with mine too. I have a 23 Si. I also wish I had the full digital cluster you have.
Now lets see of Honda makes enough of them that we can actually buy one without having to order from a dealership. I've twice wanted to go look at one at 2 different dealerships. Once it was already sold, the other it was sold before delivery (so why the heck did they even put it on their website??). I get it, I could order one, but sight unseen and without test driving? Not for me I guess...
I don't understand why Honda didn't bump up the power of the new Si...
I like the small grill and the front end lines compared to Mazda or Lexus and others where it's all grill and no thrill
I wonder if a normal Corolla Hybrid is fast than the Si. We need a drag track between them.
I love the refresh
Just got mine.
I miss my 08 Si. Such a fun car. I should go test drive one of these and finally go buy a Magen si
If you had a K20 Si these will probably disappoint you. They don't rev like the K20 and honestly that don't sound as good either.
Funny how the voice command isn't mentioned with tesla when people complain about buttons. You just need the voice button, which it has.
Hope they worked on the road noise.
This should have the 2.0turbo
I’m sorry but $32,000 for a 1.5L 4 cylinder turbo is too much money.
Honda could have put a bigger motor. A 1.8 or a 2L turbo instead.
Highly boosted tiny engines never fair well.
umm there is NOTHING wrong with the price it is worth EVERY penny and the engine is flawless. troll
@@DaleWilly Something is wrong with the price. For $2,000 more you can get a Subaru WRX with more power and AWD. LOL!
@@Mr-Clarkvery true I thought the same but that is the base model with almost zero amenities. I was shopping for something in this price range. The wrx base is terrible inside. So you opt for the premium which has the better brakes and suspension. But that's msrp of 37k. Honestly only things in this price range with all options are the si, gr86 brz and corrola non gr
@@M4csdtn what? WRX are selling well below the MSRP. I used to work for subaru dealer and we've been doing $3k below MSRP all the time. Secondly, 38k is the price of premium with moonroof, harman/kardon, etc. Regular Premium is around 36k msrp (33k at my place). And lastly, all the wrx aside from GT, TR and tS have the same powertrain. No larger brakes, nothing.
So, civic si is a better commuter. WRX is a better performance entry level car. Same price.
@@HiBlock1 you're right just better entertainment and wheels. Not any manuals ones down here in Texas. They were all going for higher. They had auto ones for cheaper. May also be dependent on state. I was in between used fk8, New wrx. Ones around me base were 34, premium around 36-37 and limited for 42. I ended up going for the fk8. I just bought it 2 weeks ago. I wanted the wrx but no silver, white or blue ones I could get my hands on here 😢
Lost me at 200 hp…. WRX is $30k awd and 275hp
And the WRX looks like Dogsh*t.
They must have improved their 1st gear synchro to be able to shift in, especially when cold. That or the gear oil is thinner.
Best in class, selling like hotcakes
Subaru wrx would be my choice for 30k
Stage 2 clutch ⚙️ tune borla exhaust e30 320 Hp🫶🏼
I wish we got the hatch version Japan gets
So much for the limited slip in that first peel out...
Did they remove SiriusXM radio?
The Mazda 3 is actually
Honda has fallen behind in many ways in recent years. I can get over the Si not having ventilated seats, but the single zone climate control is ridiculous. Having no, no sunroof option is something else I just don't understand. And ffs stop piping augmented engine noise through the speakers, just make a good sounding engine again. At least Honda still offers the Si with a manual transmission though.
Nice car but wish they would make it a 2 door again !
I’ll keep my FK8
what about rev hang ?
Except it’s hard to find this car in the dealer for less the 38k.
34,600 otd urban gray pearl with all seasons
@@josephfogus6735 still over msrp and with the 7-8 percent interest rate, it’s a 40 k car. I just can’t see spending 6-700 a month on a civic.
I'm sticking to my Gr86.
It’s a chick car dude
@@9663mu no it's a slow* car. The Mustang is the secretaries' car and the Miata is the hairdressers'.
How do you not fall asleep waiting for it to get to 60mph?
@@BigBoyz33 my moms 1994 Camry can pull GR slow
@@BigBoyz33 Does it ever hit 60mph? Wake me up if it does🤣😂
Interior noise at cruising speed?
I find it to be very acceptable but it depends on what you are used to. I’m used to performance oriented hot hatches but compared to my wife’s touring pilot it’s definitely more noisy
@TheShodown220 Honda never seems to be able to deliver acceptable road noise in its vehicles.
Car prices are just stupid these days with average price close to $50k
For that price Id rather have an Elantra N or GTI or GLI or WRX
I would buy this or the VW Jetta GLI
Honda is far better
Sounds like you like boring
@@9663mu he is just looking for a grocery getter car.
So basically individual mode is sport mode
I remember when the Civic was a nice little compact car, now it's HUGE !!! RIP Civic:-((((
Paid promotion.. engine is traah
Noisy tires, you hear every crack in the pavement.
Still prefer my 2008 Civic Si, K20z3 revs to 8,400 RPMs at 234,000 miles.. and $30,000 Yea right..
I had a Fiji Blue 2008 Civic Si Coupe. I loved that car and miss it so much. 😢
Funner, less faster and frugal than it's sister hybrid
I love it
How does a manual do adaptive cruise?
Adapts throttle And applies light breaking if necessary. If you're on the highway cruising in 6th gear, there's a decent range of highway speeds it can work with without having to shift down into fifth.
Most of these systems will give some kind of warning or alert when it reaches a point where six gear is no longer viable. But that point is usually long after you as the driver would have been incentivized to take it out of cruise control due to traffic conditions on the highway: whether it's to pass/change lane or you're about to enter stop and go from a backup.
Adaptive cruise only works above
43mph in my ‘22. I can shift and it keeps going.
Thats it? Looks like a regular facelifted civic... TF Honda.
Honda, no low profile tires, please.
Front end lower lip looks like Dart Vader's mouth. Still like the 24 model.
The engine break in period is not being respected:(
Typical Honda. An all around awesome vehicle.
100%
A new Prius is faster than this car. Embarrassing.
It’s meh, needs more power and looks just okay and no awd.
Vs Mazda 3 turbo
So for 4 or 5 grand more you can get a Elantra N with more power and performance, but the Hondas type R more powerful version than the Elantra N stickers over 40-50 grand, if I had to choose I pay a little bit more for the N plus the N exhaust system takes it up a notch
Yeah, but then you have to look at that horrible Hyundai styling.
@mediocreman2 i agree. Those Hyundais are Hideous looking.
20 years later, still the same 200hp 😂 can you imagine next-gen NSX with 300hp 30 years later 😂 i blame the customers that allowed Honda to get away with this 💀
Too many doors
Just get a GR86
This is Mr thai oh tah 😂 lol 😂 I give this guy shit 💩 for not saying to yo duh correctly 😂
3500 rpm @ 70mph??!!
That was 5th gear , not 6th.
stop chewing your fingernails Andrey, we see you at 6:06 😅
Doh.
Better than nose picking . 😅
Miata
True, unless you have more than one friend.
Works out that all my friends also have Miatas, so I never have to worry about seats😂
Too much tech.
Not the GR Corolla?
GR Corolla starts at close to $38,000. So a big amount more expensive.
@@TFLcar Noted. I thought we were talking about the 30's range.
TFL is now the bot channel
It's a shame you can't get an auto trans in the Honda )-; The 25' Corolla GR will be available with an auto trans (-:
Что это за скуф? 😂
30k seems like a lot
$18k LESS than the average transaction price for a new vehicle in the US for one of the few remaining manual transmission sporty/zippy/fun-as-heck cars is a lot, and it's also very well equipped?
To be a lot it has to be more money than the alternatives. Please enlighten us to what those alternatives are?
@@runningawayvagabond5876 I'd skip the manual and get a 25 Subaru Legacy. Premium trim starts at 27k.
It isn't, and it is worth EVERY penny either way
@@DaleWilly Exactly, the Si is a steal of a deal for what Honda is asking for one in this day and age.
Too expensive for Si. You can get Elantra N, WRX, GR, GTI for the same price.
Did Honda fix their engine issues with oil dilution and head gasket issues? Honda became a disastrous company just like Ford with their Ecoboost garbage engines.
You say you're comfortable but you look like Andre the Giant behind the wheel. I'm 6'4" I can tell you're probably not very comfortable (-:
I think he's use to it.
I can't wait until they change the body type.. so ugly
Still updating ice cars in this day and age? Legacy autos at doomed
Nobody wants EVs get outta here
