I wouldnt be surprised if "legacy box" shove the tapes into a mold enriched environment in order to grow mold on them in order to not do any work and keep the cash regardless.
Oh they REALLY do!! They aren’t dumb, this imo is a pivot with the times of problem tapes and players and completely by design. I’m going to be doing a video soon on my opinions on their whole scheme with evidence from employees on the inside reaching out to me.
@@davidslife989problem is, these companies aren’t stupid, they know the masses will pay $400 to ‘transfer’ the Avg tape collection ( approx 40 ) … knowing the avg person hasn’t looked or cared about their stuff for decades so it’s a chore and a job that needs to be done & they give them the box and the act of putting barcodes on them, shipping them off is job done for the consumer and return them with crap looking files or stickers on them blaming the customer for not taking care of them so the avg consumer living a busy life just shelves it and goes ‘oh well’ … a few people say oh hell no and I recon they have a basic team pawning off their calls and emails and for the few that go ape shit they give a refund or partial to.
Please email me stories! Info@gotmemories.com I’ll keep them anonymous and read them in a video! I’ve got a few collections of stories and texts I’ve received from previous and current employees and I’m going to do a compilation. All things aside, it’s helping the public avoid the heartache and drama!
@@gotmemories I just saw this, but Definitely!! Im sure I know the people who reached out too!! There is too many horror stories they treated us terribly!!

This was interesting but I have so many questions. Eg no one told me that tapes were not preservable longer term. I have to learn more.
Tapes are all in a state of decay in one form or another.
VHS was never meant to last 30years! I have to tell customers that all the time.
I’ve seen Costco and public libraries start to do tape digitizing, talk about shite quality
Costco (Yes video is the vendor) atrocious .. always have been.
I have the same problem. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. My videos came back with mold as well.
Get a refund!! Call your ccard company
I'm a 30+ year, award winning TV professional and I use El Gato. 😄 Works fine.
EXACTLY!! 😂 And it’s stable, clean and very, very few issues.
@@gotmemories I've been using their dongles since at least 2010.
So your saying IF these companies take there time and do the job right, things will be better for the consumer!? SHOCKING! (ALL sarcasm)
Funny that eh! 😂
@@gotmemories Not to get off on a tangent but imagine if ALL companies took their time and did right back their employees...🤔🤯

Had legacy transfer about 20 vhs tapes and every single one is terrible. Not even watchable. Took them forever too. Huge waste of money!
Every time!
Legacybox 😂
Not even once.
