Hey contratulations and enjoy! I had the honor to show BH albums to a metalhead guitar player, and quickly he became a superfan. Even took his son to a Buckethead live show on the kid's birthday for his first concert and the kid got a toy handed to him and got to even hit the killswitch buttons during the show. Anyway the guitar player picked up one of those guitars and I got to sample the joy of the buttons my self.

I also thought at first it was the 2017 2018 tour guitar, which i got to see Bucket play back to back nights here in 2018 in buffalo! So pretty awesome he was able to snag it! I discovered the bucket about 10 years ago now. the thing that influenced me most was my assumption that in the bucketed world anything goes. no idea gets wasted, just play, produce, discover.
Out of all the humans, you deserve this. Not luck. You have unfailingly given the gift of Buckethead to many and If we believe in Karma, it was ordained. You are the source! And this is as it should be.
Buckethead is a sweetheart of a human and a rare unicorn. Thank fuck he stayed away from drugs and is still with us. That guitar will grow in value, especially when he is gone. That would be a fair price for that guitar if it were just some guys but it has history and Buckethead's energy. I wonder if he needed money in a hurry or why the sudden auction? If he had advertised the auction, he probably could have gotten much more. Get a good hard case for that gem!
I'm only guessing, but BH might have gotten a free guitar from Gibson and decided that he didn't need this one. But that said, a Gibson Buckethead Les Paul studio 2011 is selling right now on Reverb used for $8000, so this guy got a great deal.
Awesome! Buckethead is, IMO the greatest guitarist, and showman going. I'd rather have the tour guitar also, but I'd rather have it unsigned but maybe with some signed pic or something of him using it. And it's cool that the tech gave you all the old parts back, even the strings. Keeping everything for something like this is important. And like yourself, I played when I was young, but stopped in my teens. I turned 39 yesterday(5/11) and just started playing again a couple months ago. I love it, and it's definitely easier to learn this time around as I'm more motivated to practice.
I love Buckethead. Came from drums over the years I'd buy his stuff. I eventually decades later switched to learn guitar. Hik and David Gilmour are my mentors.

there is a good chance i have played the killswitch on that guitar. it would have been a few years before the 2017 tour but obviously the guitar had some wear put on it before then so maybe. thats an awesome score. congrats! and happy belated to the B-man!

Buckethead is the reason why I started playing guitar. Too scared to play guitar in person, I wanted to wear some kind of mask to hide my face. like Big B, but obviously something different. You know? Not copying him. Made my own music (Heavily inspired by Buckethead) just guitar music. No words. Just like Big B! But the only people that have listened to my music is only my family. I’ve never posted any of my music to public. I have so many songs that I have recorded that I’m too nervous to put out there.
He even cut the strings at the headstock. He doesn't normally bother with his own. You got special treatment. Now, demonstrate by playing 'Well, Well, Well.'

We met on Nov 13 of 2016, have always said 13 is the luckiest number ever & if we ever tie the knot would have to be on a 13th. Was married once before for 20 yrs (seems like a lifetime ago & got to raise 2 great kids). Hey contratulations and enjoy! I had the honor to show BH albums to a metalhead guitar player, and quickly he became a superfan. Even took his son to a Buckethead live show on the kid's birthday for his first concert and the kid got a toy handed to him and got to even hit the killswitch buttons during the show.
Anyway the guitar player picked up one of those guitars and I got to sample the joy of the buttons my self.

I discovered the bucket about 10 years ago now. the thing that influenced me most was my assumption that in the bucketed world anything goes. no idea gets wasted, just play, produce, discover.
Out of all the humans, you deserve this. Not luck. You have unfailingly given the gift of Buckethead to many and If we believe in Karma, it was ordained. You are the source! And this is as it should be.
Buckethead is a sweetheart of a human and a rare unicorn. Thank fuck he stayed away from drugs and is still with us. That guitar will grow in value, especially when he is gone. That would be a fair price for that guitar if it were just some guys but it has history and Buckethead's energy. I wonder if he needed money in a hurry or why the sudden auction? If he had advertised the auction, he probably could have gotten much more.
Get a good hard case for that gem!
I'm only guessing, but BH might have gotten a free guitar from Gibson and decided that he didn't need this one. But that said, a Gibson Buckethead Les Paul studio 2011 is selling right now on Reverb used for $8000, so this guy got a great deal.

Awesome! Buckethead is, IMO the greatest guitarist, and showman going. I'd rather have the tour guitar also, but I'd rather have it unsigned but maybe with some signed pic or something of him using it.
And it's cool that the tech gave you all the old parts back, even the strings. Keeping everything for something like this is important.
And like yourself, I played when I was young, but stopped in my teens. I turned 39 yesterday(5/11) and just started playing again a couple months ago. I love it, and it's definitely easier to learn this time around as I'm more motivated to practice.

Buckethead is the reason why I started playing guitar. Too scared to play guitar in person, I wanted to wear some kind of mask to hide my face. like Big B, but obviously something different. You know? Not copying him.
Made my own music (Heavily inspired by Buckethead) just guitar music. No words. Just like Big B! But the only people that have listened to my music is only my family. I’ve never posted any of my music to public. I have so many songs that I have recorded that I’m too nervous to put out there.
He even cut the strings at the headstock. He doesn't normally bother with his own. You got special treatment.
