Thanks that info will help:)
I've found that the edges turn brown from overfertilizing. Avocados are very light feeders and are very sensitive to feedings. Usually, a small top dress of an organic mix is enough. Underfeeding, they yellow out.
I started 3 years ago, directly in soil. Has been in greenhouse until recently. Gh gets too hot in the Arkansas Delta. Help!!! I’ve just found you and need to know what to do to save this tree if I can! Leaves are turning brown
YES I’VE BEEN WATING FOR WEAKS😄😄😄
If it’s well watered and sunlight will it continue to spread
It might. Damaged leaves are more susceptible to future damage. But keeping it in good humidity, properly watering it, and feeding it enough, *should* stop the browning
Sorry if this is something unrelated but what kind of soil mix should i use for my advocado seed that has some roots but no stem yet (im currently growing this advocado seed in a cup of water) thanks! :)
My avocado tree's leaves start to brown from the edges all the way up to the stem of the leaf and then they fall off only when new leaves grow, and the new leaves are deformed.. its done this since its first leaf set and im on the 6th-7th set. help please
Same here
Y’all find out how to fix this?
Ya, it winter in alaska and my house sucks.
My loft has been too hot, my house is too dry, and my main living area sucks for plants😢
Cabin life
I live in Sweden
@@giathanhbui104 I also live in Sweden, Stockholm. No sun to speak of for months now and very dry indoors, well below 40% humidity. My plants rarely lasts at all over winter season but I always seems to bye an another avocado just to plant the seed and watch it grow, hoping this would be the one that makes it. 😃 They have gotten bigger and bigger by time and when I used Scotts advice to cut it at 15cm ( after reaching 30 cm ) it was looking really good this year but it was starting to put out some ugly browning of the leaves in August already. I asked him about it and he thought it was to over fertilizing so I replanted it and only water with RO water since then, new soil which was fertilized for at least three months according to the labels. New growth looks ok but older growth still was/is getting browning and is still dying off. I don't know if this has to do with climate or a result of being over fertilized earlier. I would have hoped the repotting into airier soil-mix and only watering with RO water for the first months would have made the browning of the leaves to stop but I guess I wont know until the light comes back and the natural grow season starts again in spring. I have seen on other UA-cam channels from Sweden that you can have a gigantic tree somehow thriving in this climate so I have to do something wrong...
@@giathanhbui104 do you have similar indoor plant issues in the winter?
Some houses are better for plants than others.
@@ryangooseling yes
oh no!
I haven't explore the options here - but there are solutions out there if you're able to look into them. Humidifiers and greenhouses (like greenhouse cabinets if you keep your tree trimmed) might be a workaround for you.
Hi! What if the browning start from the main vein of the leaf and spread out?
This is just the sterm becoming a trunk
