Met Noel outside a pub in Highgate in 2007. He was chatting with a group of mates. I cringely went over and said all that crap about how I love Oasis etc, but he seemed genuinely gracious and took a couple of minutes away from his mates to chat to me. Really casual chit chat and was like talking to a mate. Absolute legend.
That’s really cool. I met him near Tottenham Court Road on a night out in 2014. Did the same thing of cringely going over and asking for a photo. Didn’t get to chat with him much though, just enough to say a few pleasant words.
I love seeing Noel next to 'celebrities' because he just strips them of all their aura and importance by treating them as if they are just any average person, which of course they are
yea he fucking hates licking peoples arses he's never done it probs, but Liam's even worse aha! I think thats why they're both so lovable, working class boys that just like music, not the whole celeb experience
Stephen Rimmer ofc he loves it, but that was just a nice little addition to touring the world playing his tunes getting fucked. We all love self gratification
Well if you treat Oasis like they're no big deal, they become like old hags on a bad day of Alzheimer's :) The song he is playing here though is good stuff. Not americanized bs
Was thinking the same as I watched it. He has this aura about him which naturally seems to command respect. His quick wit seems to do it, as you say, + maybe his relaxed, affable manner during interviews. One of the best interviews in the business and one of the few people who can get the better of Jonathan Ross in an exchange!
Yep true..and one of the only people who can actually embarrass Jonathon ross or make him a little lost for words when noels taking the piss sometimes ha..I think the main reason why even the stars are a bit nervous or intimidated by him is because Noel and Liam have never had a 'Pop star attitude' I think even people who don't like them can appreciate that they are REAL and anyone being a bit 'Hollywood' in an interview with Noel in the same room during an interview wud be made to look ridiculous by comparision n noel wud take them apart by taking the mickey so I think it forces people to be a bit less serious about themselves around him. The guys gal in the same interview here are all kool tho. I also know they REALLY respect his gift as a songwriter n singer too obviously.
i like this interview - the other 3 didn't know what had hit them when Noel took over the show, and showed them that you only have to be yourself and be genuine.
Love Noel just being himself like this. How is he being arrogant? He's a funny man with great talent and always seems very natural. I miss Oasis so thank God for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Liam's band Beady Eye. At least they give us an echo of great music. Really enjoyed this version of If I Had a Gun.
4:13 Look at Butler's face. Noel tries to be nice to Butler and include him in the conversation but he's still reeling from Noel calling him out on Wonderwall.
if theres a chart i might as well be top of it hahaha loved the way he made gerard butler look like a tool hahah fucking awesome the man is sharp as a tac
i think he is smart..i try to watch all the interviews with him...very interesting. I dont care if he is cocky or what people call arrogance. He said it is 'self belief'' i like that.
~Noel win No. 2674~ -..That's my song man.. - No no I think that's MY song. -.... * Drinks a little water. * ~Noel win No. 2675~ -How did you knew he was a king? -He had it on the T-shirt.
"..the King of Tonga... like some guy from Buckinghamshire". Classic. I was there for this filming (that's me whistling!) and Noel is indeed a legend. Just effortless and witty like others have said, and pure brilliance.
if he can be this sharp after all the drugs and drink and fighting and destruction, I really admire him.! i dont care if he is arrogant. maybe thts why he is...after all that !
maybe it all had to do with his upbringing too. He recently gave an iinterview where he talked candidly about his father whom he hasnt had contact with for 2 decades. His father used to drink and beat them...all his brothers...so sad. all the more i admire him for his success
+jessie james he quit drugs in 1998 and it was mainly cocaine he had a problem with,. he still drinks and obviously never had a problem with alcohol really so that's probably why he's kept sharp
well he was smart to quit drugs! his latest album has done great .. won an award for it...and he is on contract for something, i forget which the sources say, will rake in a fortune for him...Hes also very money minded...!
Anytime I listen to noel's vocal I straight away go back to the mid 90s and my school days and hours of just watching music videos on mtv. Those days were Unforgettable.

Graham is my favorite talk show host. He is very kind to people nd allows them to show the best parts of their personalities. Also love David Letterman and Johnny Carson.
I love watching interviews with Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher and Boy George. They are so funny, smart, sarcastic and more. Maybe it’s a English thing, just being themselves no filter. Love it!

Kieran Wilton He's a celebrity himself, so he knows how celebrities like to be treated.
+Treefrog Johnson he´s a quick witted one
Treefrog Johnson it's because he is a significant celebrity himself. They don't fuss over each other. At least not in front of the camera.
Treefrog Johnson I like that Billy Conolloy does that too.
He’s gross and music not that good meh

"Oh, no no no, I think you'll find it's *my* song." Hahaha, loved that! xD

Most charismatic guy in that room without a doubt, what a legend
Had to comment because you absolutely 👍 f..king nailed that. Exactly what I was thinking
Jesus. Did anyone come from the interview with Liam. The level of difference of coherency between them.
One seems to be always on cocaine, one seems to be sober
Jordan Seymour i
yup, i did
Me too. Love em both. They both have a quick wit
Noels good at the famous chat show bit liams just a normal guy who is in a band
He’s so naturally funny and cool. Doesn’t need to try in the slightest. Total legend.
Robbie Williams is the same, talking about his wifes smoo like his Pub is burning down. As he watches child birth.
I love Noel, he is so funny and an absolute genius musician
@@jockmcque3018to be fair Robbie Williams is a great storyteller.

Noel, was a bit of a tit though.

Not very witty, to be honest. At least in the beginning.
@@alapekuttaja7222 jezzzzz I'm guessing you are not British then?
Noel is one of the few rock stars who I could listen to all day. He's just so funny and down to earth.
Literally the whole reason of liam and noels feud is due to both of their massive egos
he’s definitely not down to earth
he is effortlessly funny, I just love the way he says something hilarious without acting like "I'm funny"

this gotta be 1 of the only post-Oasis Noel interviews that don't mention a fucking Oasis reunion or RKID. Nice 1 Graham!
+StrettyHS 313 So refreshing
Cos it's Graham Norton!
Graham Norton has problem never heard of Oasis
I'm guessing that before the show, Noel said something like "If anyone mentions an Oasis reunion, I'm fucking walking off".
So glad he did not bring it up. Funny, he did so to Liam when he was on the couch. Noel is a hilarious interview, always a laugh.
Am I the only one that noticed how pissed of Butler looked when noel showed him up a little just before he took that swig of water

I can not emphasize enough how much I like Graham and his show. Truly great
i love graham too, he's my favorite amongst all talk show hosts
Unlike most US chat shows, Graham lets the guests be the stars and he makes them feel so at ease. He’s a British treasure
