Same. It's possible for two seemingly opposing views to both be true its just different perspectives. They really should meet and sort things out, not to get Oasis back together but because they are brothers.
Mmm, I used to be on Noel's side because of Liam's vocal decline, and irresponsible attitude. Seeing as how those things have been dealt with, we take some time to look at Noel's deficiencies. Jealous of his brother, tried to take over as lead singer of the band, tried to make it seem like Liam was at fault for Oasis breaking up when Noel really wanted to launch a solo career like his idols Johhny Marr & Paul Weller. I have always believed Noel was more intelligent to Liam, but sometimes heart is what matters and like the Grinch, Noel's heart is about 1/100 of what fans would expect.
Noel did stick it out for 18 years so its hard to blame him for leaving. There was always tension since Noel made more with writing, and then didn't let Liam sell his gear at concerts. Maybe Noel is guilty of provoking Liam relentlessly out of jealousy, but Liam took the bait and crossed some taboo lines. This allowed both to take the moral high ground. So I believe they are paradoxically both right and both wrong. The fact that I even care is a testament to how fascinating and brilliant both brothers are.

you have no idea what you are talking about. I have a brother 3 years younger than me and I don't like talking to him. We have periods of two years without any contact
When Noel started talking about not wanting to leave the EU, I thought here we go agen, a remainer wanting another referendum. But no, he respects the vote. What a guy. He has even more respect from me.
Liam's not even angry anymore, seems pretty chilled out now and humbled by the last 10 years. Nothing like the arrogant guy at the end of Oasis. Love Noel but he's keeping a grudge with the person his brother was a long time ago it seems.
@sfairraid 13 Noel isn't down for that kind of tour and lifestyle. Think he's more complacent doing the type of gigs where it's not as rock n roll. Oasis had their time and what's done is done. I've accepted this as a fan. Everyone just wants another crack at them. Would Oasis really be appreciated nowadays as much as they were in the 90s? Maybe. Never say never. But I think they just don't get on as brothers and Noel is the type of person to not wander through doors he's closed behind him. It's sad to see two dudes that made amazing songs together and brothers not be brothers though. I think it would be amazing just to see them have a beer together and bullshit about life. No Oasis reunion required. At least do that before one of you dies.
@sfairraid 13 Makes sense that that would be the case since Noel said numerous times in interviews that he would have had all the money and he had an ego that kept growing the more the band got bigger. He was always the serious one that had control in his corner. That show at the Whiskey a Go Go. And the ferry incident. "If you don't like it then you can get the fook out of MY band". It wasn't his band, it was their band. Tony was kicked out. Don't think Liam had an issue with Tony. It was Noel by himself that kicked him out. As big and amazing a songwriter Noel is, he has always had that I'm in charge and you're gonna listen to me attitude. Someone had to be the assertive one in Oasis for them to get to the heights of which they reached.
Love him or hate him he’s one of the only remainers who realises wether you like the result or not this country is a democracy and to go back and vote because certain people dont like the outcome would be farcical.......Well said sir 🤩🤩
@Charley Lee Keep the US out of this. We have our own large, orange problem. Remember, the day of(or the day before)the vote for Brexit the largest amount of searches from the UK for "what is Brexit," because everybody's too damn lazy to do some research on issues and/or candidates. Don't feel bad, it's been going on since time immemorial. In every country. Look what the US got by not doing their research, or sticking their heads up their arses. We got a racist barely literate ferret wearing shit gibbon who knows nothing about running a country, and doesn't mind alienating the rest of the world. Not to mention he lost the popular vote by 3.5 million. It really pays off to educate oneself about every candidate before you vote.
The problem with Noel isn’t that he can’t forgive, it’s that he was too forgiving, of Liam’s destructive behaviour towards him. Eventually you have no choice, it’s for your own peace of mind.
Can you not though after many years, just start a clean slate?? Liam invited Noel to his wedding... regardless of how he was in the past, is that not the single most important and biggest attempt of reaching out and making amends?? Let the past stay where it belongs and not let it affect the present and future.
@@TheYeetusLord No, because Noel said he isn't the forgiving type. When someone puts up with so much and just gets to the point they can't put up with anymore, the bridge is broken and there's no way back. Once that's happened, attemps by the party that caused all that grief to add to it by sniping, lying, blaming etc only serve to bolster that resolve. It takes two to make amends and leave the past where it belongs and Liam has shown he's not mature enough to do that. Bringing Noel's wife and children into it proves that.
For you to hate someone that much means you equally love that someone so much, both of them is obviously in pain, one trying to keep up the image of being superior to mask whatever insecurities he have, maybe because he felt and was told the no matter how good he is, the other is one better, while the other one looks upto him trying to do his best to get his approval and likeness but was rejected. Imagine how terrible would that be for both of them and us people dividing them more by taking sides. Both of them are Great, Oasis will not be oasis w/o the other and the rest of the group.
I know what you mean mate, I was seeing a woman last year and she Gaslit me, came on to my mates and basically sent my world in to a right spin......and as much as I think she is a vicious, and poisonous person, something inside me makes me find forgiveness over being angry and hateful, it almost feels like if i was to become hateful then she has won, as in the hatred then would make me as toxic as her, don't get me wrong, she ain't getting invited to dinner any time soon, but I know in forgiving her she is the one who is left feeling frustrated, killed with kindness!

It feels like Noels' inability to forgive is the biggest factor in all of this. The sad thing is despite everything that's been said, they are brothers, they are Oasis, and time is finite.
I agree. Throwing a guitar, or even if it would have been a fist fight, is small potatoes in the big picture. A lawsuit is extreme lol, but in the end, if Liam and maybe even Noel if he had SOME responsibility for their issues, is genuinely sorry, and able to ask for forgiveness, then you should accept it, and move past it. Brothers are a very special thing, and life is short. I feel like these two need a long talk with each other, with no yelling, and each allowing the other to speak and listen. There arent a lot of words that cant be forgiven. We all say things we dont mean.
Guys so fake it's unbelievable. Liam is the same guy from the 90s. Noels pumpus and pretentious. And his solo music apart from his first album is terrible
Guys he’s allowed to be angry Jesus Christ, it’s his family, it’s literally none of our business. Liam has said stuff that Noel can’t forgive. That’s it.
How can Liam possibly expect Noel to forgive him, when he keeps insulting Noels wife publicly. It's all banter when u call your brother a potato, different thing when u involve the sister in law. That is why, u parka monkeys, Liam is considered the child.

Noel not being able to forgive tells me the whole story. My brother and I fight like him and Liam and have all our lives. The difference is I always just let the shit go and my brother does after a fashion. I feel bad for these people because in the end all you really have in life is family. My brother didn't speak to me for about a year at one point but eventually he got over it. I don't ever want to have that situation again and I really hope these guys can get past their walls one of these days.
The only people who would think like you are people who have never had a truly toxic dynamic with a family member. At some point you have to cut them off.
I feel sorry for people who only have family and allow continued toxic, damaging behaviour in their lives because it's family. Walking away from my narcissistic family is the best thing I ever did, they did nothing but damage. I 100% understand why Noel will never have Liam in his life again and I totally understand his frustration with people telling him to let it go because it's his brother. Liam publicly attacks Noel, his wife, his children then if they lose their cool even slightly he plays the victim and Noel is painted as the problem.

No matter what, is always fun to hear Noel. Brilliant interview btw, I’m from South America and had no idea about this guy, our reporters could really use a quarter of the professionalism this guys has.
It’s amazing how Noel shut up a professional politician through sheer common sense. Didn’t agree with it, but it happened, so for the sake of democracy we have to get on with it.
Ok, around minute four, when he talks about the Oasis split up, he is almost quoting Lennon's explanation about The Beatles one! "It's not the end of the world". "They [people who like Oasis] have the music and their memories".
First thing I thought too, almost word for word but it is as relevant to him as it was to John and very true. People quote other people all the time they even make memes out of them these days...
Noel comes across as decent geezer for once. I've always found him to be so obnoxious. This interview presented a decent side of him. An honest interview.
Fredrik Skavlan and Craig Ferguson could not be more different as personalities, but they are my two favourite chat show hosts. Both have a knack of putting their guests at ease and getting them to open up about themselves. I've never seen Noel Gallagher this relaxed and talking so much sense. Now, could Fredrik do the same with Liam Gallagher... that would be a challenge!
I can totally understand Noel's perspective. He's a humorous, interesting guy who answers questions thoughtfully and honestly, whereas Liam is just tiring to listen to after a while, gobbing on and on the way he does. Noel thinks before he speaks, whereas Liam just cracks the first shit of the top of his head. Hard work.
The most honest interview I think I've ever seen him do. He's an honest guy. I personally don't think he does tell lies. He gets a lot of stick from the hardcore Liam fans, and some idiotic Oasis "fans". I like them both, but, you can totally see why Noel is trying to draw the line. Liam went at him for years after Oasis split, then went at his wife, then at his wife through Noel's kids...that's not on and I defy anyone to defend that shit.
He tells lies man, just not that many, great interview though it's quite telling that noels just revealed liam tried to sue him after 10 years, he's not slinging mud like liam,, liam will fucking hate this !!
He's never had a driving lesson?!! There's a lie, he told a funny story about having a driving lesson around slough a few years ago, so he must of been interested in driving at some point, unless he genuinely forgot
Don't shoot the messenger, email his management of it bothers you that much, I think he's forgot, mid 50s , done a lot of drugs, still drinks fairly heavily, smoked weed for years in his earlier days, hectic as fuck life for nearly 30 years, if he was consciously lying, be quite a pointless lie
Liam went at him for years after Oasis split? Noel was the one constantly digging at him in the media after the split. Their brother Paul comments on this in as it was, he's on Liam's side so I think that says it all to be honest.
My sister was the exact same , took the side of my abusive mum and wound me up after going off the rails because of the house environment. People who create the drama sit back and complain about the monster they created, fact! Bless you all xx
I've watched a lot of Liam Gallagher and I've never felt he's angry now. He seems very mature and balanced. Noel seems a little arrogant and condescending.
I feel like Liam does still express quite a lot of hurt and anger. He has called Noel's wife a witch several times over the past few years and mocks Noel on social media pretty frequently. Liam has fueled the narrative that Sarah is part of the reason Noel won't reform Oasis and often accuses Noel of only being in it for the money and/or fame. I empathize with Liam's pain from being estranged from a beloved brother, but that doesn't excuse his behavior. Same goes for Noel -- while his defensiveness and frustration are understandable, the way he treats Liam feels more like a prolonged punishment than just moving on.
Bang on correct..Noel was always the instigator for liams behaviour by his own admission. I've seen Noel saying that he used to wind liam up and then watch the fireworks go off. Noel is from the back streets of Manchester and he's forgotten his own arse......he's now rubbing shoulders with the elite and he now thinks he is too good to come back down to the little people who put him where he is now.. He is condescending and has turned into a snob.... Who does he think he is calling people morons who are on the net ?? 'So he is basically calling all his fans morons !! TBH I think he's a fuckin twat that's a turncoat 'who's made it and now looks at the people who put him where he is with contempt The Thing is Noel, is that the socialites would abandon you in a heartbeat if you lost all your money..you are living in a false reality...sort it out you sausage!!
Liam is so much more open and unguarded. Noel is always positioning himself to look good or superior to his brother or anyone for that matter. Noel has become a phoney. Liam isn't afraid to admit his mistakes. Noel thinks he is perfect. So sad that two brothers that were part of such a great musical force cant see that they were always better together than they are now. Bless
Kevin Murphy Nobody knows that they don’t actually speak...do they. They maybe actually do in a private environment. They share the same family. Their kids go to the same school 🤔. They play the media very well. It only plays on the minds of fans (and haters) about the split. It’s like when Fergie left Man Utd (sorry Noel I know you’re a city fan!) he knew it was a good time to go. In this often pointless media circus who really gives a shit (my dog does....twice daily) I’ve seen Oasis 4 times. The last time was in Newcastle. We had tickets for the far end of never at the back of beyond and decided we wanted to sneak into the ‘downstairs’ bit and get near the stage (affectionately called the mosh pit) only one of us, out of four, got past security, so the rest of us though uck it (not mispelt, just a creative alternative) and left the gig half way through and went for a pint. Did we regret this decision...no, it was a jolly good pint. We reminisce more about leaving the gig early than the gig itself. On that note (c major seventh) I bid thee farewell.....
I've been a fan of oasis right from the first single and still to this day I love both of their music, but I grow tired of Liam's outbursts. He is always looking for a fight and it just looks like he tries to make himself look better by making noel look worse. There is a difference between being open and just not knowing when to keep your feelings to yourself.
On paper that's a valid point.. the problem is that the Vote Leave legal judgement blows a huge hole in the validity of the result so it ends up back to square one.

Both brothers are equally funny and brilliant. Together they were unstoppable.
Fantastic interview. Like many have said, it makes a change having an interviewer that lets guests speak without stupid interruption. 👍
This chap's a really good interviewer. Asks great questions and allows the guests to answer without getting overly involved and making it more about him than who he's interviewing.
I kinda just feel bad for both of them at this point.

When Noel started talking about not wanting to leave the EU, I thought here we go agen, a remainer wanting another referendum. But no, he respects the vote. What a guy. He has even more respect from me.
Total respect for this man. Such a positive aura around him...
This show is so inquisitive. It makes me respect the mind of real Scandinavians.
What a great set of questions. Congrats for the great interview!
I like when the interviewer does the question, he speaks slowly and understanding, nice job
Q: "How many kids does Liam have?" A: "Officially?" 🤣
Mind your business
four
two girls and two boys
😂😂😂
Off of which tour ? 🤣
I don’t doubt for a second that he loves his brother.
But you can’t always like the ones you love.
Exactly
Liam's not even angry anymore, seems pretty chilled out now and humbled by the last 10 years. Nothing like the arrogant guy at the end of Oasis. Love Noel but he's keeping a grudge with the person his brother was a long time ago it seems.
Like Noel once said… “Nobody knows my brother like I do.”
Yes the referendum is final, you cant just do another vote because you don't like the result.
Scotland majority wants to stay, but Westminster the spinsters think the UK means England. Hahaha, time for them to get a reality check....
He isn't a Remainer and his opinion is irrelevant. He didn't vote.
Charley Lee you forgo ‘dear diary’ at the start
Noel has he great gift of working class common sense. A rare commodity. Says it like it is and makes the word uncomplicated but without any pretence
Something to admire. God knows I struggle to do just that most of the time, thanks to the old ‘analysis paralysis’.
He speaks wisely in that they have to respect the vote of the people. There we agree completely.
Narcissistic behaviour, picking fights, manipulation. He physically attacked him more than once, beating him with a guitar, broke a guitar on him
Yet Liam forgive years old Noel belittling him and publicly treating like a dog. People have short memories
Pretty sure Noel wrapped a cricket bat round Liam's head once. To me it always seemed a clash of 2 big egos. That's it.
Not always. Theres someone I hate so much, and there is literally no bit of love or even like.
DIGITAL UNDERWORLD you’re wrong. Hate is still an emotion. If you hate them so much you must care that much.
I love watching Noel’s interviews. So honest and interesting.
It so sad to hear that he can't find forgiveness in his heart, that must be a hard way to live.
I don’t blame him one bit
Aye he looks sad right enough
ITS a show

I know what you mean mate, I was seeing a woman last year and she Gaslit me, came on to my mates and basically sent my world in to a right spin......and as much as I think she is a vicious, and poisonous person, something inside me makes me find forgiveness over being angry and hateful, it almost feels like if i was to become hateful then she has won, as in the hatred then would make me as toxic as her, don't get me wrong, she ain't getting invited to dinner any time soon, but I know in forgiving her she is the one who is left feeling frustrated, killed with kindness!
Kevin Young its called maturity, no one is perfect. I am sure you have done plenty to others that has upset them. It is better to lead by example, to rise above, let it go, forgive. These cartoon characters set an example to no one.

Liam is like: “ NOT FOR ME MATE”
"you know wa' I mean?"

You can only be the rational one for so long
I feel sorry for people who only have family and allow continued toxic, damaging behaviour in their lives because it's family.
I tried that with a family member. It didn’t work, so I cut them off completely. Sometimes you have to.
@@bryanterry415 A brother is different from a cousin or something. What an amazing person Noel is. Very grounded.
Alejandro Canales González he was hugely inspired by John Lennon
very droll no mate just inspiration they were very poor and loved the Beatles best rock band from the 90s
very droll most musicians have an inspiration David Bowie was another one almost every one was inspired by him
First thing I thought too, almost word for word but it is as relevant to him as it was to John and very true. People quote other people all the time they even make memes out of them these days...
@very droll Sadly we don't have Soundgarden any more either. That was a heart breaker for me.
Noel comes across as decent geezer for once. I've always found him to be so obnoxious. This interview presented a decent side of him. An honest interview.
Very nice interview! Thank you for uploading!
Wow this is an amazing interview. I've never seen Noel be so open like this before.
Superb Interviewing, Could listen to Noel chatting all night, Everything he says just makes dam good sense to me

Learned a lot from this
I can totally understand Noel's perspective.
Noel is a manipulative. The only thing that matters is today, and moving forward. Can't change the past.
Noel seems a little arrogant and condescending.
correct
He’s always been arrogant self centred baby, look at how he treated Tony the drummer he kicked out, was literal scumbag behaviour..
