i have worn wigs forever..so here are some tips....the unit can be thinned out so they dont look so full especially for older people, also jet black hair tends to look too fake so go with 1b or 2 for color..Often the tick density is what makes the hair look fake. Mickey thank you so much for sharing your talent you are a tru hair sorceror

I had a "hair system" years ago.. '92... end up letting my hair grow out.. but was losing in the crown... late mid twenties and I'm just finding out that they make on-scalp units which are amazingly real to the look! :) Had transplants.. too many done... long story... have back of head scar and still bald really. Going with SMP (scalp micro pigmentation) now and also to cover up scar. Micky Da Barber.. the greatest in my option! :)
When I get mine done I'm gonna lie and say its mine...lol

Oww ! Thank u so much guys for this relevent interview ! So helpful, so True talking ! Mickey you are so humble ! It's good to see you talking to the commynity ! It's been like 2 weeks since i decided to wear it for the first time (PU) and yet i can recognize myself in this testimony ! For those Who still hesitate, listent to yourself and give it a try ! As for me i did it only for me, not for people's gaze. And i swear i don't give af**k when wake up in the morning and my hair tangled over the night and a quick fix it in a little top afro and get out to do my stuff or go on my way to my hair stylist with my sun glasses on ! For sure as he said it won' t fix your insecurities but still, will give a punch to your selfesteeme and a refresh to your looks ! Also the funny and the true part of it is you can wear it, and not wear it as soon as you want to go for bald again ! You already know bald ! Soo... Who cares ! Do it has you want it and don't care of the rest! Where i have been set the unit, the hair stylist told me about an handsome mixed guy, who had a full head of healthy hair. Don't you know, He was wearing units to have straight hair like his caucasian father whom he wanteed to look like more ! So He wore it instade of relaxing or flat ironing his hair that would get damaged with such recurrent treatments ! So, see ! Everyone has a reason to wear it, even People with hair ! So... And By the way Good idea for the break , and the bald for the summer, i take it !

He comes across as a very smart person. I agree with with him and he covered some interests points about taking responsibility to manage your hair system and building confidence, which is a process, not a quick fix. Personally, I'm thinking about becoming a wearer again after two failed attempts. This time around, I want to know how to maintain it, so I can remove it myself and clean it, without damaging the unit. That way, I'll have more control and flexibility. People should treat it as an external fixture, instead of trying to convince their selves it's permanent hair. Nothing can replace your natural hair and biological processes that maintain it. With a hair system (just like an item of clothing), it has to be taken care of, especially if you want longevity.

I'm lost. When I made my first unit myself. I used maxi-tape or maximum hold wig tape and I was doing everything to include swimming and it never came off for 2 weeks. I like what Mickey do but I have to have my tape as an added backup. Tape doesn't damage or hurt to remove.

I want to do this also...You know, UA-cam can really teach alot...I guess I'm trying to say, I wonder just watching her videos..can this really be done diy if you will...I never been to cosmetology school...I'm what you call a hood hair stylist...Neighbors and friends can come...get braids...quick weaves, crochet styles..for a fraction of what they would pay a licensed beautician...People always say to me..Girl, your work is better than a licensed professional...and your prices even better!! I just love making people look good...cuzz that makes them feel good..so go get your hair...give me 20 dollars..and I'm bout to hook you up!!! So satisfying for Me!! So these men units would really be a blessing to so many men!! Like I know men that wear a baseball cap...until its painful..but they won't take it off...because of the bald spot...I'm saying so much..but I guess I am so exicited..like this would be such a blessing!! @@franceshaynesdevinelife6874 Hello Frances, thank you for reaching out to me regarding my husband's hair transformation. First let me say, being the neighborhood stylist is a good thing. You are that one we can go to for whatever reason. we can count on you and you never let us down or say no. So that alone is a blessing. Since this will be a new experience for both him and I, I would feel very comfortable going to a professional. To my understanding, it can be a DIY because during those months before a touch up, you still have to shampoo the hair and reapply. She will teach you all of that in the process. Maybe in the future when you get that experience under your belt, please reach back out to me and we can go from there. Once again, thank you and I will definitely keep you in mind.

Complimenting her all night!!!😁 That alone is my pay😄💖👍

Sup Mickey. I don't have a hair unit, I have a full ass head of air, but I'm wondering eventually the person with a bald head on top will eventually lose all of his hair on the sides & back over the years??. So if a guy has absolutely not 1 single hair on his head can u give him a full ass hair unit??.

its an issue for dudes because "misery loves company". Its an issue for women because a lot of women are very influential. Their friends/society tells them its not kool, hense the new job/title/term, "influencer". Any mature, independent mind.... would respect the choice
