It was a fitting end to this podcast series, which has been very enjoyable. I think future podcasts are a great idea with lots of transport related subject matter available.
Bankstown is being reduced to only hold a 4-carriage train, and I believe they are mostly going to be Milleniums - which makes perfect sense because the second 4-car set is needed elsewhere eg. T5 The Liverpool extension is contingent on the Bankstown Airport being redeveloped into a new Chatswood, and unfortunately that isn't happening any time soon. I doubt people at Bankstown + Birrong + Yagoona will change at Lidcombe unless they can change to a T1 train there, I think most will change at Regents Park or Berala because you don't need to change platform.
I don't think that the metro from Bankstown to Liverpool would be viable as the metro would end at buffers at bankstown, there wouldn't really be a clear way to extend it as beyond those bufferes is the heavy rail train line.
You made 2 errors, 920 is now not operated Transit System it’s now U-go mobility. 925 is not operated by u-go mobility, since when transit system took R3 contract 925 been with transit system for a while already.
