Its the same model of puppet, but I don't think its the Scrapped Watchman, because it doesn't makes sense how SW's body would reach the scrapyard. There's nobody willing to transport it.
I have a theory but it’s a stretch. After we defeated all of the puppet kings subjects it’s likely Romeo commanded the puppets to transport him to the scrapyard to either… 1. Give it a proper puppet burial in the graveyard of puppets 2. Pay respect to his sacrifice and use his parts to craft a more powerful puppet. From the perspective of the king of puppets, the swamplands are dominated by puppets. Soldiers manning the tower turrets, scrapped puppet of the futures roaming about. Looks like a safe location to house a valuable asset. But what Romeo did not expect was to be defeated, much less by his friend, thus the puppets were weakened and the Green monster stole the Scrapped watchman’s corpse, picking it apart like a scavenger.
This soundtrack really encapsulates the unpredictable, frenzying nature of the Green Swamp Monster. Every time that beat kicks up fast, it always seems to be while it's flailing it's tentacles, barreling towards you, or jumping around the arena. Perfect.
My image of the scene is that P is desperately trying to escape the monster, fumbling over the piles of scrap as the monster viciously tears through the scrap mound.
After mastering this boss, I can confidently say that he actually has a really fun and fair moveset. The decay is actually what makes this boss so hard on your first playthrough. Getting poisoned AND having your weapon break just because you accidentally took two hits from the tentacles is a bit harsh
Since the green monster grew so large and powerful by consuming Ergo, and we know that Ergo is in living beings, what if a portion of that Ergo is the children that played with the scrapped watchman, maybe they took a bit of control to be able to play with their friend one more time? Not my theory but it's a wholesome one (Other then the fact it implies that their were dead children in the swamp)
@@quellunosulserver5847 I'm not saying thats not a Fact, i'm just saying that i can't see "green monster of the swamp" and not think in Shrek... I'm just saying...
@stayfrostystayhot4577 you know how, in the dark souls games, you can get a bosses weapon by trading in their soul? In lies of P, it's the same with a slight difference. The guy you trade the souls to is a merchant who collects rare weapons that you get from trading in specific boss souls. That's why most of the weapons aren't the bosses. I hope I explained it well enough.
The most unnecessary boss in my opinion. He looks like he is just filling the space between Victor (the proof of the power of the Alchemists) and Corrupted Parade Master (What happens to puppets when Romeo isn't able to protect them).
I think the puppet devourer is meant as a showcase of if this things left alive it’s going to cause equally as bad chaos as the carcasses due to it being able to corrupt any puppet by filling its body in the remains of the puppet. Atleast I personally think the puppet devourer is a major scale threat (Not to the scale of of course Manus or Laxasia but really damn high in terms of the normal puppets that are left around that can still think normally)
@@therandomsaiyajin Now that you mention, it could be, but at least they could give more of this feeling. Like how when you go to modified Krat Station and the puppets start vomiting tentacles. If this was caused by the PD it would give the feeling of "this guy is problem". But he got this feeling of "added". Of course he has to pose a threat more or less, otherwise he would be pathetic, but my point is it doesn't reinforce any point of the history (like i said, showing the power of the Alchemists or the lack of the influence of Romeo). E.g. if he was said to be a "patient zero" of the experiments of the alchemists ( it says somewhere roughly in the lines of "the monster is intelligent. He likes to gather puppets, but for what?" ) i think it could have more of that "deep roots" feel if you understand what i mean.
@@prinnydude5864 probably, and you do make a point that we don’t actually know all that much of the puppet devourer. Which makes me think, if Lies of P gets a dlc down the road we might see development of what exactly caused the full creation of the puppet devourer and why they even experimented in the first place. To add with that, there’s still a few other factors as to why everything goes to hell so quickly (i know the petrification disease was the alchemists fault and a side quest likely puts the frenzy of the puppets blame onto Geppeto but we could still be missing key details of how exactly things went down and what could of even caused outside factors, then again the story seems very well written but there is the case of what the next game will be and how they expand on the would sense they are referencing other outer gods that exist through ergo with what we can see with the Simon manus fight) It’s gonna be interesting to see how they do the next game and I’m interested to see what other stories they make into a souls like, we could see a ‘return’ of an Alice in wonderland games that’s dark and gritty like the mcamerican Alice games. If so that would mean we could even see enemies that are so fucked up from ergo that it likely could cause creatures like the jabberwocky to be created sense I will also add, the red queen and the puppet king concepts feel like they go hand in hand and a souls like Alice game just personally sounds awesome in the style of lies of p (And if you’re wondering yes I know of the secret end cutscene hint of the next game or dlc)
@@therandomsaiyajin YES! The first thing i thought was how strange was the fact that Geppeto started the Puppet Frenzy (Law zero of the Grand Covenant) and his act before the Nameless Puppet boss fight (He knew of the Arm of God and how it could be used to revive Carlo), as if he manipulated Manus in his attempt of becoming a God. On the part of the Dark Alice comeback, i will have to disagree. I would rather seem another disconected fairy tale becoming a bloodborny-souls game, since it is already common ( at least a bit ) using specifically Alice for the "darker world" theme, although i wouldn't bother. And in the case of DLC i find it rather improbable that they will speak more about the PD since he is so disconected from the rest. E.g.: In Dark Souls 1, it was mostly a completely new and independent history from the main story line, while in Bloodborne it was a investigation of the roots of the main history ( Maria and Laurence are related to Micolash and Gehrman, and they are also the "Old hunters", almost mythological figures in that universe ).
@@prinnydude5864 that’s fair, so if anything we are just getting a sequel game that goes over another fairy tale which is the wizard of oz story line which is gonna be interesting sense it appears Dorothy is part of the world of Krat (I know it’s just the cities name I’m just saying it instead of ‘that worlds earth’) and there’s a lot of strings being pulled behind the scenes with the little sneaky alchemist snake that snuck away after the end credits. I forgot his name honestly but I expect to see him constantly within these game story lines guiding that stories hero ever so slightly. And the reason I mentioned a dark Alice story is due to the creator of it, due to EA bullshit and limitations he forever stopped the games final part and after that there hasn’t been a noteworthy Alice game sense then which I personally would love to see another one form and give that story it’s own unique twists sense it is wonderland so anything is really possible
