When I got grabbed by him during his stagger the first time it caused me to book it as far as I could, I guess I was to paranoid sometimes because it also caused me miss some fatal blows
Honestly, they knocked it out of the park with his animations. He probably conveys the most personality out of any boss in the game, and it makes the fight even better for it.
@@mooganify As far as soulslike bosses go, none of the LoP ones were bad imo. I especially don't get the Brotherhood hate, I think they're a really well-exectued concept, considering just how badly Fromsoft butchered multi-bossfights in Elden Ring.
That 1st non-respawnable buff guy was the #1 contender. When we beat him we took that spot and now its time to fight for the championship against the beefcake that is Victor. In a steampunk-puppet game, just seeing a massive juiced up wrestler guy that talks his shit made him my favorite of this game It literally feels like two hoss’ going at it to see who wins
So much of the petrification disease and the carcass experiments comes off as an homage to Resident Evil, especially with how cartoonishly evil and psychopathic Manus and his Alchemist buddies are.
“So weak, so unfit!” Bro is dogging on me for my physique mid-fight while being the biggest mf on this side of London My puppet is a walking twig compared to this mound of protein
Most fair bossfight in the entire game. Zero gimmicks, zero trace of magic bs and ultra-fast combos, just pure, raw strength in a brilliant clash worthy of being treated as a show on its own. Chad Victor has my respect. Beat him after about only 10 attempts, he requires a lot of patience, timed attacks (if you're using special weapons) and NO parrying, ONLY DODGING his attack patterns. Loved his character. And his theme absolutely slaps.
We might be having different experiences with this fellow lol. I first beat him by relying on dodging because his combo timings really throw off my attempts to parry. He has follow up attacks after fury attacks, for example, even though for most enemies and bosses in the game parrying a fury attack usually leaves them wide open. Some of his attacks also have extremely long wind-ups and suddenly accelerate to strike and deceptive tells. I beat him on NG+ with parrying after I figured out the tells.
Tbh every single boss in this game was fair and enjoyable, even the super difficult ones like Romeo, Nameless, and Laxasia. The only boss in this game that I would consider below average in LoP is door guardian. They even gave us actual good and well balanced gank fights, which is super refreshing
Agreed. This theme is a banger, and the fight is just what I like- no bullshit, no gimmicks, just a badass straightforward fight against a fucking freight train.
@@IamSnehan same here, love how raw the fight is, i was worried he turn into some sort of beast in my first encounter, but gladly he just become more buff in his second form 😂 just fists, like a real fighter!
In a game with such banger bosses, this guy was def my favorite. Both perfect blocking and dodging weaved together into the fight so well, and it felt completely fair; no gimmicky bullshit, just a pure test of skill
@pokimanefartcompilation If you have ever played Grime, Romeo really reminds me heavily of the Final Performance boss from that game. Same weapon type even. One of my favorite bosses from Grime.
The level design for Victor makes a lot of sense. He portrays himself as the epitome of evolution, the peak of human strength. Something grand enough to earn that title would flaunt it at an exhibition. A place where the greatest of technology, memorable discoveries, and animal rarity are showcased. His theme is much different to Laxasia who owns the brand of cult-like perfection even though they are fundamentally the same in title. If that doesn’t show the ingenuity of these devs I don’t know what will.
Every boss in this game is infinitely more fun if you choose parrying over dodging, but Victor is actually such a standout case. His fight is genuinely perfect if you learn his parry timings
This is how I like my boss battles. Challenging enough to make me put my nose to the grindstone (both literally and figuratively, as I used the Flame Grindstone for some damage over time on him), but not Romeo levels of speed and overpowered nonsense to the point that I want to smash my controller in half.
@proctorritter5176 he is absolutely not unfair. Difficult yes, but not over the top. It's about the same Difficulty level as Friede phase 3 from dark souls 3. Most of his moves are extremely well choreographed, and the fight is just plain fun. That's what I love about the super hard bosses in this game, they're difficult but fun. Laxasia, Nameless Puppet, and Romeo all took me a lot of time to learn, but I enjoyed every moment of the learning process
I only wish this guy had more buildup. I felt like every other boss had a decent amount of foreshadowing (Murphy has a few mentions, Fuoco has been building the puppet army, pretty much everyone else is heavily foreshadowed throughout their chapter), but as far as I can tell the only hint at Victor’s existence is one poster you can find on the ground. Still a banger boss though.
I beat him first try and I played exactly how I fought Godfrey and I was in shock. Absolute Defense carried and I was so patient waiting for openings. I thank Godfrey for this.
this boss fight is definitely inspired by Batman, victors design is reminiscent of Bane, and the soundtrack is similar to Tim Burtons batman theme, by Danny Elfman
One of the easiest bosses in the game, in my opinion. But easiness does not equate lack of enjoyment. This was easily my favorite boss in the entire game. Yes, his moves are heavily telegraphed, and he gives you some pretty generous windows, but the music and the pace of the fight are absolutely incredible. Can't wait to get to him again in my current playthrough.
Question for yall. Do you think Victor was always this much of a dick or the alchemist’s experiments turned him into this? The one flyer you find mentions he’s universally beloved by the people of Krat, so I figured he’d be more of a tragic monster like the Archbishop, but he wasn’t. Curious what yall think.
I mean there's been many pro-wrestlers who were fan-favourites for years but were actually complete and total assholes behind the scenes, namely Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior.

Gigachad Victor taught me a valuable lesson. After this fight, I never stood directly in front of a boss after staggering them ever again.
I kept thinking my game bugged when this happened to me 😆 valueable lesson
laughs in soul of cinder
Took me untill Black Rabbit brotherhood part 2 to figure that out
When I got grabbed by him during his stagger the first time it caused me to book it as far as I could, I guess I was to paranoid sometimes because it also caused me miss some fatal blows
Good lesson for laxasia fight:)
“Thy strength, befits a crown!”
"Bah! You're so weak, so unfit for the crown!"
Now I’m curious how a fight between Godfrey and Victor would go
@@maniacalmurderer4123 that gives me a drawing idea
@@maniacalmurderer4123 I think Godfrey will win but it would be a very epic fight. A nice Pure Strength vs Pure Strength Match
Wrong game pal🤣,but i know what you mean
This man’s swagger walk in the intro is beautiful
I also like it how the lights turn on as he points up and smokes comes out from the ground when he raises his fists.
You can see how confident he is, a true champ.
"Arm of God! This victory I dedicate to you."
That fricking WALK he does before a big combo is what makes him one of my favorite bosses in this game
The true GIGACHAD
"It's not over yet, I am the chosen one!" is my favorite line of the game
Honestly, they knocked it out of the park with his animations. He probably conveys the most personality out of any boss in the game, and it makes the fight even better for it.
This game didn't fail to honor my tradition of having big burly buff men as my fav bosses
Godfrey I assume you like?

Noticing a theme here tbh, only fair boss in the game is everyones favorite, funny that. Not 2 health bars in one, 3 vs 1 nonsense.

Fairly certain his theme is a direct homage to RE2 Remake's Mister X bossfight theme.

Parrying is entirely viable.
you can definitely rely on parrying for most of his combos. i actually found it easier to do so than with previous bosses prior to him
Bro, he's literally juicing mid fight and the ref makes Stevie Wonder look like he's got the eyes of a hawk.

I got so many Gundyr mixed with Hoarah Loux vibes from this boss.
The King of Puppets second fase = Radagon
I got incredible hulk vibes
@@erozaky1077 Honestly I got Sister Friede vibes from Romeo, rather than Radagon

The early part of his theme could easily fit into a Resident Evil game as well.
Tbh all the Carcass monsters could fit in a RE game
