This is my third tumbler and my favorite so far. I used gunmetal glitter from Makerflo for my shark layer and it looks great! My grandson is going to love this! Thanks for the inspiration Karen!

I don't have Crystalac so will do this but apoxy after spray painting tumbler gray.

What kind of spray do you use after you do the power wash? Is it clear or is it a blue color I don’t know
I just use Rustoleum clear coat.
Do you prefer epoxy or bright tone ? I have been using epoxy from hobby lobby. Then I seen you video. I have only done 3 tumblers, but many many pens.
Hi Kay! My personal preference is Brite tone for SO many reasons. The makes of Brite Tone just released a new product that is a faster than Brite tone. It’s called Grande Finale. I ordered some but haven’t had a chance to use it yet due to my current situation. We are flipping a farmhouse and are living with friends. Lol So as soon as my new studio is finished I’ll be back to making tumblers!
Karen how long did you let the paint dry?
Just a few hours... until dry to touch is what I've found best. I let my clear coat dry a little too long on this one and it was tough to remove. Thanks for watching!
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong with Brite Tone because I done a cup with stickers and I have no joke done two coats of brite tone every day for two weeks with level sands every 3-4 coats and it’s still not smooth 😩😩😩
Oh no....I'm so sorry. Were you stickers really thick or textured? I know everyone stresses SUPER thin layers and I agree but sometimes I do just a tad bit thicker on a layer and just allow a little extra dry time for it. If it has an orange peel look I just continue with thin layers. What grit of sandpaper are you using?
@@karenbaskettdiyer I’ve been using 400 grit to sand.They were cheap stickers off the internet but I wouldn’t say they were that thick 🤷🏼♀️
OK 400 is good. Hummm... I'm not sure what the problem could be. Don't get discouraged... try to stick with it and I'm sure your tumbler will turn out wonderful!
