The "this is a tip that a lot of people miss, blend the foundation around your neck" is really bringing me back. Why did everyone always act like that was a pro tip?
Hi, I stumbled upon your channel and had to comment. Your content is great and is so relatable to me- I’m a few years older than you I believe but I have not thrown out a piece of clothing, electronics, cell phones, accessories, hair styling tools, etc since approx 1995. I have it all. Just last week, I was giving my hubby a fashion show of my 90’s and 2000’s clothing and it was just like watching one of your videos. Thank you for sharing your content. I will keep watching and relating haha.
@@jennaabarclay you’re very welcome 😊 That’s awesome that your mom kept everything!! You must get the same feeling I do when you go through your items of the past 💝 Anytime I went to throw something away, I thought to myself “maybe I will need it one day” - haha like why would I ever need a Motorola Flip phone in 2022 ?? 🤦♀️
SAME. I’ve never stumbled upon someone more relatable. Sadly I feel like some of these trends I still haven’t let go of. Brings back so many great memories! I can also remember going to JoAnn Fabrics to buy an entire bottle of pink craft glitter because the cosmetic ones just weren’t cutting it. Basically poured an entire bottle over myself every Saturday night.😂
Reminds me of the good days when tutorials were filmed in a bedroom and the guru would have super xute decorations in the background now its green screens and professional lighting 🥲
@@randomuseq - You used to have minutes for calls on your cell phone but after 7pm it was free and didn’t cost any minutes. I’m pretty sure the weekends were free too
brooo. i know that youtube came out 6 years after, but this still took me back to those youtube days.😂 i seriously miss them. from 2001-2010, we were living in a golden era and never knew it.
I cackled, in 2002 I was in college and just discovering makeup... my mom is a 'tomboy' so nobody ever taught me anything. I thought you were supposed to match your eye color to your shirt... there is a photo of me at a party wearing a bright turquoise turtleneck and matching eyeshadow. 😭
This was my brothers ex! Her mom still does the same makeup from the 80’s/90’s so she was walking around with eyeshadow that matched her clothes/holidays. Thank god my mom and sister were into makeup: 😂
Lol I'm 29 (turning 30 on Halloween of this year) and I relate so much! Although I wasn't exactly at this stage in 2001 yet, I loved all this stuff and Lizzy McGuire was my shit!!
You have the best birthday ever!!!!! My oldest daughter was due on Halloween......but sadly she was 3 days late!!!! I bet you birthday parties were freaking awesome!!!!! 🎃👻🏚️💀🕸️🕷️🖤🍭🍬🍫⚰️🌩️⚡☠️🦴⛓️
@Jennifer McKinley Thank you! I do love my birthday because I love all things scary! My bday parties were never all that fun though 😕 because I wasn't allowed to throw parties with friends and the youngest of my 5 brothers is 7 years older than me 😕. But idk, just knowing that it's my bday on that awesome day and that I get to watch scary movies and all that makes me happy lol!
"Free evenings and weekends" 😂... I remember being so tempted to answer those 6:45 pm calls and countin down the seconds till my phone was free at 7pm. Also phone cards! The kinda good thing about ur phone card running out was the possibility that your crush called while ur phone was off...because you just never knew....how would you know? It's better to tell urself he might've called, then to accept the fact that he didnt 💁♀️ It was another weird early 2000's type of situation. It was all of a sudden easier to get in contact with people (cell phones, bbm messenger)... but still enough barriers to cushion ur ego, like, "maybe I just ran out of service" or "I think he ran out of minutes". Not like today where theres like 10 different apps or ways to get in touch so if you dont hear from ur crush, theres no putting a positive spin on that soul crushing fact. Basically the theme of the late 90s/ early 2000s was DELIGHTFUL DELUSION.
And some of the discount phone contracts defined "Evenings" as starting at 8pm instead of 7pm so you had to wait an extra hour , Those contracts were brutal.
Omg this is hilarious 🤣🤣 I remember watching Lizzie religiously lol in 2001 I was 11 so I was trying to look good so when I hit 7th grade I would be "cool" 😭
Honestly I wanna recreate this hairstyle for an editorial 2000s look. You’re so on point with the Lizzie McGuire look! 😂 I never realized that’s how she did her hair - just random crimps and curls lol
Oh my God, the Lizzie McGuire is so accurate, I remember constantly begging my mum to buy me hair bandanas (bonus points if they were bedazzled!) I remember the first time I wore one my older brother was like "why are you dressed up as a nun?" 😂
I used to love that shiny lipstick gloss!! Love your content so nostalgic!! 💜 your shirt reminds me of when we would have the different color bra straps to wear with the spaghetti strap tanks lol
omfg, the Urban Decay Wallpaper palette. I remember wearing this in freshman year of high school, 2004. That compact looks like Benefit Some Kinda Gorgeous, which was absolutely the wrong shade for me and I still wore it anyway
Lol I died when I heard that Nokia ringtone 😂 I had that exact phone in 2001, & I remember this game on it called Snake that was literally just a line that crept around the screen
I nearly died when you said, “Out of minutes.” Brings me back the time I was talking to a good friend and said, “Sorry. Running low on minutes.” He replied, “Please!!! Make this your splurge call!”
I love that your foundation looked good on you, you remembered to blend it down your neck, good thing to remember there girly.......and I am still stuck in glitter!!!!! Glitter everything......never to much 😊
My mom's "hair oil" was Biosilk. I loved the smell and how sleek it made my hair look for like 10 minutes. Orrr I'd go greaseball with it and add the straightener too. Fun times. 😶🌫️
Kids these days will never understand the anxiety and panic you feel as you try to say as fast as you can I have no minutes call my house phone to your friend before your parents hear you using your cellphone 😂
Makeup was on point! I used my fingers for applying foundation and eyeshadow. All my HS pictures has a foundation ring around my chin line. I never blended😳
I'm 18 rn and actually am happy to find this vid! I like the 2000's aesthetic very much and only got a really small glance with my older sister when I was young
omg I was in 6th grade and most 8th graders did the straight on the bottom and bangs and curled the top half of their hair. the most I did was some crimps when I was on 7th
It doesn't feel like 2001 was that long ago, it's crazy to think it was 20+ years ago 😭
The fact that 2001 is my birth year 💀
9/11 happened that year, too
@@monsev.arellano9125 my birth year is 2004- I felt that LOL
Life comes at you fast 😂😂 I feel you 100%
I love your pfp
Legit this was my life back then!! I’m dying laughing and now showing my daughter who’s a preteen and she’s like that’s kinda cute! No no no!!!
tbh it is tho or maybe its just her
I think they mean kinda as their daughter isn't impressed
It is cute though 😍
I was still too young to do those looks as a 9 year old and by the time I could I was hooked on mall goth
The "this is a tip that a lot of people miss, blend the foundation around your neck" is really bringing me back. Why did everyone always act like that was a pro tip?
idiots like me would’ve forgotten
Lol cuz literally no one blended down their neck 😂

9th! 🤣

Love your content! Very funny and entertaining, even tho I cannot always relate to it (I was born in 2002 haha). I’m definitely subscribing!
I'm living for this look not gonna lie
But it looks good. I kinda want to get the look 😄

STOP IT!!! I used to love to do my hair with a mix of straight, wavy, curly and little braids with a couple butterfly clips added for good measure 😆
I’m glad I was born in 2001 so I didn’t have to go through this makeup fiasco lmfao. We’ll definitely be clowning what we do now in 20 years, though

I didn’t wear foundation but many of my friends did…matching your eyeshadow, glitter, and that hairstyle for a dress up’ day or party…..SPOT ON!😂
It’s giving me the mean girl vibes😂
It give me when Britney Spears was a hit on the radio vibe.
Ok but I will NEVER be able to stop thinking that hairstyle is cool 😂. Can you try one of Miranda’s hairstyles next? I was always obsessed!
the excessive glitter falling under your eyes and cheek is so accurate 🤣
You still look so good tho!
😂 the glitter falling all over her face.
I actually like this better than all those crazy fake lashes and contour 2023 stuff
2001 baby here! Thank you for this! It's adorable :)))
The minutes and the after 7pm LoL 🤣😆 I remember that
Hahahahaha WHY ARE YOU SO GOOD AT THIS
THIS IS AWESOMW

The Nokia ringtone killed me 😂😂😂😂😂
This new show Lizzie Mcguire❤😭
Skin care was not a thing at all back then. The solution to every skin problem was tanning and huge amounts of makeup and powder ☠
Don’t forget oxy and stridex pads
And Clearasil 😆 I did not use it, but my friend did and I swear it was basically just alcohol 😂
It was very enjoyable and liked the humor.
Btw, I think UA-cam was not around till 2004
God i legit miss this.
This is actually cute! Legitimately. It's cute!
OMG, not running out of minutes! 🤣
I am 38 and I so relate to this 😂
I had totally forgotten about how you had “free minutes” after 7p 😂
The nostalgia 😭
Aite but this hairstyle is still so good.
i still do my foundation like this 🤷♀️ we don't have all day
Indeed 😅 My everyday makeup is just slapped on foundation and "club look" means adding some eyeliner and obviously, glitter 😂
this is so nostalgic
This is so accurate 😂
