I just used this one a few days ago after watching your video. Would never have guessed a box of color under $4 would turn out so great! I did leave mine on for 60 minutes though as 8 have stubborn grays.

I personally applyed Revlon 60 on my roots and my roots was black and my other hair was brownish Golden and my roots turned light golden colour within 10 minutes.. and trust me I have used many..

Please be careful and see their sample in the box to have an idea how the hair will come out. My hair isn’t black and if I choose a warm finish like golden my hair comes out orange. Also, it’s very difficult for hair dye to lift dark colors such as black :/ please see the box for an idea. Hope it helps :)
You can actually use blond color, it lightens your hair color like bleach but not as damaging as bleach. I've use blond colors with my natural black hair and it comes slightly orangey dark brown, had to go for another color to fit for my liking. Hope this helps :)
I do my own hair and cannot figure out how the brown did not run through your blonde.... I do put an old conditioner on mine but still have to brighten the blonde
It was hard to see final results because you have 4 boxes of your other videos advertised on the screen at the same time. Did the dark ash blonde darken the blond highlights? I have an inch of dark brown regrowth and the rest heavy light to medium blonde highlights by bleach. I definitely don't want to darken those.
Tiny Dawg hi! Sorry about that! I tried to be very careful not to apply the dye over the highlights because that can definitely happened specially since bleached hair is very porous and will soak in any dye. Also when washing, I tried to be quick wetting my hair and immediately applying shampoo so the highlights wouldn’t be affected. This worked for me but in the past when I didn’t know, I would always end up with darker highlights because of the dye. Hope it helps! (:

That’s exactly how I would mostly do it except when it was time to retouch the roots with hair dye or if I felt adventurous I would do highlights first and while I had foils in my head I would apply hair dye to my roots like at a salon lol I’m not a hair dresser btw :)

hi, I like that it comes out like a light warm brown but closer to the box color which isn't very light. I just hate when it comes out brassy and this is the only shade where that doesn't happen. I show the end result at the end of the video ;)

when you color your hair do you use the conditioner sachet after rinsing the color or after shampooing? I color then wait 30 mins then rinse thoroughly, then shampoo and rinse, then condition and rinse. just read somewhere that conditioner which comes with the box color has to be done before shampooing

I also as of recently have been trying a post color conditioner from Sally's beauty supply from the brand Ion but again I LOVE the box dye conditioners :))
Hi :) my roots lifted but not a lot because when I have tried medium ash blonde or light, it comes out way too brassy so I’ve come to terms to just lift a little bit to avoid that from happening to me. Naturally I tend to have warmth in my hair so I always end up with warmth even when I use ash 😒 my mom on the other hand, doesn’t have this issue 🤷♀️
Because it's hair dye, it deposits color. It's going to make your hair darker. If you bleach you hair then your hair will be lifted, there's alot of tutorials how to lighten your hair color or maybe you shouldn't do it yourself if you don't want to lose your hair
Are you trying to lighten previously colored hair? Color won't lighten previously colored hair. You'd have to use a color remover or bleach to get a lighter shade.
Hi, I just applied the product to my virgin roots but I had very old highlights. My hair isn’t black although it is dark. The box has indications in the back showing how certain natural hair colors could turn out when using any of their shades ;)

I’m not a professional hair dresser and this is how I’ve seen my hair behaves every time I try to go lighter than a medium ash blonde :) I hope that helped :)

Jody Burke hi :) so as of a couple of years ago, I no longer blow dry and iron. I just blow dry and if I iron is for an important event our outing if that. I can tell you within the last 6 months I’ve probably ironed my hair once. Also, my new hair routine consists of just highlights. I’m currently trying out a new method of not using color in my roots and just lighting them with lights all over :) this would take place every 5 months or so :) let’s see how that goes since I just started this new thing 3 months ago :) XOXO!

Kotin Kwok hi, I’m not sure what you meant but the same mixed dye shouldn’t be used after the time you apply it since it’s not recommended it. If you meant if you can use the hair dye more than once like every month or so, that’s what I used to do to retouch my roots :)
I used to but I it would come out way to reddish and I didn't like that :/ this has been the best color I get without the crazy brassiness. Ive used some violet drops in my dye in the past and that made a nice difference but I need to buy them again.
@@SkyKlein yes because the more you lift the brassier you come out, I speak from experience. And plus, I find this color is more natural and suits us non-blondes better than lighter shades. For an additional touch of light we can always get highlights like you did after all
At least dry! I have learned from experience that wet hair does not have the same effect. I think it can be dirty as long as it is tangle-free (and of course, dry). Hope I helped :)
Briana Del Monte I prefer to do it with dry hair so the dye gets absorbed better. Also, I notice a bit of a difference when I do it in dirty hair vs clean hair. I get better results when my hair is clean and dry vs dirty and a bit oily :) thank you for watching and I hope this helped! :)))
Kizzle Vizzle hi :) in the past, many many years ago when I would experiment like that, my hair would come out very orange so I just use the box dye because I couldn’t find a brand that wouldn’t leave my hair in such way. I am however going to experiment soon because my roots are inches long and since we are in quarantine I really want to play with my hair lol I’ll let you know! One thing I’ve learned is that when we try going more than two levels at once, it always looks orange IF from dark to blonde.
hi! Mine was actually a couple of days without washing when I did my roots, but I keep hearing it is better if hair is clean so the products don't have to fight thru the oils. Personally, I have a sensitive scalp so having some oil helps me :) Recently, I washed my hair the night before coloring my roots and I didn't apply any product and the color lighten my hair a little bit more it think.

The image on the video is of it and the other one is my hair not a different color box :) I don’t know if your hair would come out the same as mine since we tend to be slightly different :) Also, my roots are virgin hair and that helps the process more :)

It worked good. My mom has shot hair and it only used 1 box. Her roots came out light brown and it refreshed her alread bleached blond..

i didn't blow dry my hair at all and i sprayed my hair with hair hydrating perfume. it helps my hair a lot. blow drying is not good at all

Rimsha Malik hi if you have virgin hair and it’s not too dark it should be similar but it can be slightly different as well. Our hair chemistry is different from person to person. My mom can use the medium ash and looks great on her yet on me it looks very orange. Best of luck!!!
