When I hold them side by side they look slightly different but the sound and the look is the same once I replaced them. I waited a long time to replace them because I was worried about messing up my Beats but it was easy and they look new now. They sound is just like before. 🙂
I absolutely love these cushions. The cleaning process can be long and tedious but instead of using rubbing alcohol I would recommend using nail polish remover; works better and faster!

When removing the cushions it was not clear that you can possibly break the two dowels if you go too deep. I wish you guys would have mentioned to watch out for this :( What do i do now?

This is the best instructional video to replace Beats Solo earpads, and I watched at least 5 of them. I did 2 pairs of wireless and one pair of wired headphones tonight, feeling very confident of getting the details right, after watching this video.
Be careful when separating the plastic from the main head piece. There are 2 plastic prongs on each side, 4 in total. That go into the holes on the replacement cushions and you can easily break them off while working your way around the cushion when removing them. Second the removal of the adhesive is much easier if you find the tape it’s sitting on, as once you pull the tape up the adhesive comes of with ease making residue cleanup even simpler. Thanks for the video. I was wondering if the plastic came off as the mesh between the cushion and the ear piece was stuck under it so I proceeded to use your video to verify and ensure I didn’t rip off something important lol.

Really sorry to hear that. However, our ear pads comes with a high quality adhesives. If you attach the ear pads exactly where the dowels was, it should be good enough.

Thnk you worked well acpt mine were very difficult to remove the plastic it was really glued strong and also cleaning took almost 30min but after that installing new earpads was like closing a phones back cover 😂😂😂 very easy

Do they come undone due to humid weather? I've had this problem. Should I place them over books for 12 hours or more for better adhesion?

Yes, they are only there for alignment
My "dowels" are not sticking out like yours, i believe they were ripped off and are now flush with headset. What do i do?
You should just align the pads as if the dowels were still there, you will still see 2 circle marks where the dowels used to be

Replacing the cushions is a cosmetic thing, unless you dropped liquid or anything into the speaker, nothing shoulder affect the electronics

The beats solo 2 and solo 3 have the same exact pads, you probably are confusing the beats solo PRO, which will not fit
