Dear Lumix... These guys are correct! A m43 Lumix G7 m2 would be a slick move very buyable!!! Yes make it small in the Lumix S9 rangefinder style (since that's the rage). Give it everything the G85 has but with a twist of the GX9... But make it a capable entry point camera - $495 body only! I'll survive with a 30 min record limit in 4k 10bit 4:2:0 with log, good ibis. Give it a replaceable - built in popup hood for the LCD, 1/250th flash sync, 20/24mpx, make it feel like it was made for photography but will give you great video! Make the Lumix lab simple and create an iteration that's built into the camera itself to make, use, and export luts! (Hi Fuji). At that price you only have to market it right. The more retro look... The easier the sell.
I'm that guy constantly asking Lumix for a new GX body lol. Currently using a g100d as an EDC and street/ bts camera and I love it. If they revised that or made a new gx I'd buy that instantly and if they keep the cost low I would be happy to suggest it to those on a budget as the S9 is still quite out of most people's price range for a first camera. Keep up the great work Matt!
Meanwhile all us photogs are still hoping for a GX or GM line update. GX8ii & GM5ii would be my preferences! I leave my G9ii at home 1/2 the time because of its size/weight. Would also like to see a smaller hot-shoe audio adapter for just 3.5mm, no desire to use xlr but having ch 3/4 for backup or stereo in addition to wireless lavs or a shotgun would be nice.
Love the channel mate and all the LUMIX chats. Got my start on a G7 & G85 and while I love my S5 and S5II it would be great to have a new m43 body for sure. Looking forward to the next vids!
Great video! 👍😍 Love it! It's really a good idea, a Lumix G7 Mark II. But, a new budget camera without IBIS, or with a cropped on this tiny sensor for IBIS, or a crop for 10-bit video, a crop for reliable autofocus, for 4K, or for slow-motion FHD, or for anything else, even any minor crop on this Micro Four Thirds tiny sensor would be really very sad and a big red flag. For a great comeback for Lumix in the sub-$1000 price market (like in the Lumix G7 times), at least it would be great to see a new entry-level camera that can compete with (or even beat) the high dynamic range 13+ stops APS-C Fuji X-M5 (if Lumix really wants to maintain its renowned name: "video-centric camera, and best in its class"). That could really help people thinking about their future, to consider the bigger brother Lumix GH7 for the next level, as they grow in the system. Some specs, like: - IBIS, with no crop. - 32 bit float audio (to improve more sells of the new XLR Audio adaptor). - 10-bit 422 4k up to 30p with reliable Autofocus, without any crop. - Downsampling 4k to FullHD 10-bit 420 video up to 180p with reliable autofocus, without crop. - V-Log L 13 stop of Dynamic Range. - Dual Native ISO 400/2500, or clean ISO up to ISO 3200 like the Lumix G7. - 2 hours 4k video one charge battery. - Flip-out screen. - 1 slot card, on the right side. - 250mbs/100mbs/50mbs/25mbs/10mbs, record options. - Livestream 4k 30p / FullHD 30p and 60p. - The posibility to bring Suiri AF 16/23/33/56/75mm f/.2 (or Viltrox and Tamron) in M43 System, for more fast lens options. Would be awesome to see.
Thanks for having me Matthew, always fun talking about Lumix gear!

Dude a g7ii...the g7 is you mess with the color settings in the standard profile it looks so freaking good
Yeah! And updated G7 would be sick!
Lumix in 2024 = GH7. That's it.
for the price better go for S5ii. same weight as well
@@morpheusmorph13 Well, maybe. Except for my 20+ MFT lenses. If FF I might get into Sony. The lens range for Lumix S is not enough.
Actually L mount has a bunch of lens collections,, esp cine lens
