- In today’s video, Hope is back! She is sharing the story of her right temporal craniotomy brain surgery. She wanted to share her story in the hopes that it will be able to help others who may be going through a similar situation, and that it can provide some insight into where she’s been! She wants to give a huge thank you to all of our family here on UA-cam who have been so supportive and encouraging through this journey, and have sent so many thoughts and prayers our way! Wow! Just wow! What an amazing story! Can we just say 3 cm? Holy cow! I am no nurse or doctor but I wonder what could have happened if that had continued on? it can’t be good. God is a faithful God and the great physician. No one knows your body better than Him because He knit our together. I see a million little ways in your story how He was with you. For one, you advocated for yourself so well by asking for what you needed. I truly see His hand in that. Your ability to quickly meet milestones after surgery and go home early is also amazing. I am so happy that all went well and am so happy to see you again on video. I hope you plan to do another video about recovery and what that has been like after surgery. Oh Hope, I had no idea of this happening. Praise the Lord that all went well.
I have had way too many surgeries so I can definitely identify with all that you experienced. I always ask for nausea meds in my IV before surgery…ugh…nothing worse than puking after surgery when your throat feel like it is on fire! And, yes…love the leg compressions! Most nurses say that patients do not like them, but I almost cried when they were removed.
So thankful that you are up & about. Hopefully soon you can put all of this behind you…take care…🙏

I feel comforted by the number 24 too! I'm a June 24th birthday, but one of my best friends who I met working at WDW has his birthday on October 24th.

Glad you’re doing well! I also have a number thing and when I saw the number 4 on the door I got super excited because I feel like God is telling me everything‘s gonna be OK whenever it’s the number 4 because that’s been my thing my entire life. And I also told my Surgeon that I wanted to buy the leg massagers for my house and he told me it was the first time someone said they actually like them and didn’t hate them. I didn’t actually end up getting it because he actually wanted me to move around after the surgery because it was back surgery but I really did like that leg massager. And whenever they moved me to the chair by the window for a different position I would make sure that they moved that with me too to put back on!
Girl, yes!! So good to know someone else who also loved the leg massagers, haha! My nurses were grateful that I loved them so much! The number thing is so cool! It's awesome to find different ways that the Lord speaks to us!

Haha, I'm hoping to get my hair cut soon, but I don't think I'm cool enough to pull off that look, lol!

I just watched this video. I was sick with a stomach thing most of past week (involved lots of 🤢 puking) however much improved now. Anyway, I was always thinking of you while you were away and am so happy to see you recovering. ❤️

Pre op is so crazy. They put and attach so many things to you. The only way you truly find out all there is, is when they take them out later lol
I don't know if you experienced this but the surgical beds are super slim, cold and metal. And they taped my arms down for all my surgeries. Weird feeling
So true! Pre-op is a strange experience for sure! I do remember getting on to the surgical table, but I'm not aware if they taped my arms down, haha!

Hope! So good to see and hear you! You look great! I had to start and stop watching this video. Watched it on my husband's acct last night on TV and had to stop halfway. Finished watching it today on my laptop. You and I are very similar with everything after the surgery! Knock on wood but if I were to ever have surgery again, I know what to specifically ask for. Yes, covid is responsible for not allowing visitors after surgery. When I was recovering after the surgery, they brought my husband into the recovery room to try to help wake me up. LOL Baby steps! Can't wait to see the upcoming videos with you and Abby. Take good care and will now check out your Poshmark shop. I know nothing about it. LOL

Thank God for surgeons in this world who save so many lives every day. I know I could never work in the medical field -- too squeamish!
