Hi there. l I came across your channel while researching how to prepare myself for an upcoming craniotomy. I'm realizing how very little I was educated about the whole process from my medical team. Looking forward to watching through your content. My surgery is next week, so I'm taking notes!! I hope you are doing well!
My surgery was different but it was a week before yours and instead of the two nights they stated I ended up in there five days. I had brought a fan with a remote control and that was the best item that I had brought. I had also brought this five dollar device that goes around the back of your neck and your phone goes in the end and you can bend it to a position that’s comfortable for you so that was great as well for watching or listening to UA-cam videos like yours! I didn’t wear much of the clothes I brought as I had to stay in my Johnny and they gave me hygiene products like toothpaste and a toothbrush so I didn’t use my own. Cough drops are definitely essential as is hand sanitizer. I had brought books and word searches and such but realized being on heavy meds made the words on the page move around too much that I couldn’t actually use any of those so that was disappointing. But thank you for this video 👍 this kind of stuff is very helpful for people going through medical issues. I also sent a note to the hospital to let them know what a great job the nursing staff and PT staff as well as cafeteria staff and housekeeping had done while I was there and I sent the staff an edible arrangement after I had returned home as a thank you. God bless and I pray you are having a quick recovery.
Oh, Rebecca! I'm so sorry you had an "extended stay"! That phone holder sounds amazing! From what Hope told me, she was also heavily medicated and didn't feel up to doing many activities, but she did use her speaker and listen to Christmas music while she was there, haha! We hope your recovery is going super well!!
I was in the hospital back in the spring of this year for a kidney infection. The hospital made me wear one of the masks with the blue on the outside. I wore it through the time I was there, which was about 6 1/2 hours. I was put on strong antibiotics for it. Luckily I didn't have any kidney stones when I had an ultrasound done.
Knowing what to bring to the hospital is always hard. I had stuff packed several times then found out I was staying longer so my family had to bring me more stuff. Love the bag and I was so happy Abby shared your update. I can't wait to see more updates to see how you are.
Thanks, Micki! She was afraid she was overpacking, but it turned out to be just right! Hope is progressing well, and I'll be sure to share more updates soon! :D
Love the blanket and bag! I hated my stay in the hospital when I had my surgery for cancer, but it looks like you’ll be well prepared. Hope you’re doing better! Thinking of you and your family! Abby, you’re doing a great job, too! ❤️
Thank you! I know this bag combo worked super well for her hospital stay, haha! And thank you! I'm doing my best to hold down the fort while she's recovering!
So happy you splurged on yourself that bag is gorgeous love the color, and the extras . I'm in need for a new bag hmmm 😊👍In prayers for rapid recovery😇💕
BTW good idea on the pads. I think after most of my surgeries I started my period, even though it was nowhere near time for me to start. And catheters are not so bad. But I also go to the bathroom a lot so it was nice not to have to get up. Would be interested to do see a follow up video of what you actually used and what you didn't.
First off, I love that you matched everything 😂. I am the same way, love items and sets of things that match. I think you are very prepared and can tell you did a lot of research. Once you are feeling better, I would like to find out if you ended up using everything you packed. 😀 ~Ali 🎀🏰💖
😂 I know, right? She looked very coordinated marching into the hospital, haha! She said that she was happy with how the bag worked for her too! I think she's planning to do a wrap-up video, so I'll let her know you want to see that! :D
Love that shirt!!! I need one! I’m looking forward to hearing all about your experience! I hope you are doing well and not going too stir-crazy during your recovery! ♥️
My prayers are with you and family that it will go well thanks for sharing i just got back from house sitting and i packed like you using ziploc i have Mickey and minnie ones and Frozen take care stay safe and healing prayers for you too🙏💜🙏😷💯💜💯

Ooh, that sounds painful! I hope you're doing okay now!
@@TheDisneySisters I am, the antibiotics the hospital put me on cleared up my infection in less than a week. They were very strong antibiotics.

I knew you'd have a VB bag! I adore you got matching things with it.
Haha, what else? Nothing makes Hope happier than a matching set, lol!
