hi everyone ,if anyone else wants to uncover industrial electronic repairs try Saankramer Electronic Magazine System (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my partner got excellent results with it.
Very helpful & easy to follow. Even for this operator who knows enough to be dangerous. Am now able to find all those important emails from the past. Thank you Brian
My indexing is stuck on '91951 items remaining to be indexed'. And I followed everything here... still can't search for Outlook items. No results. Did an install repair too...
Please make a video on how to install Outlook Express 6 for Windows XP Service Pack 3. I am using Windows XP Service Pack 3 and I get an error installing Outlook Express 6 because my Service Pack is newer than the Outlook Express 6 I am trying to install. Please find a workaround on this issue and make the video so that I can install Outlook Express 6 so that I can install Outlook 2002 that comes with Microsoft Office 2002. Thank you.
Terrific help... Thanks from Geoff - in San Diego!! I was wondering if the entire process as you have gone through is essential or simply a part that seems to be the problem. If the entire routing is recommended, I would follow it thoroughly. Looking forward to your response.
Hi Brian, do you also recommend leaving indexing on on the c drive also? I've noticed in careys videos he's always saying to turn indexing of C: drive off as he says it slows the computer down!?? Cheers in advanced!.
slows the computer down? that sounds a bit silly to me, if your running a i5 or i7 with a SSD, I can't see why having search index enabled would slow down your computer. If you don't use Windows Search service, then disable it, but if you use Windows Search service, then leave it enabled. As for constant writing to disk ie SSD in this case, I am yet to see any decrease in performance, but that said, older and slower pc's might see a small boost in performance, but most computers today are super fast. With indexing enabled, you can search and find any file on your pc almost instantly. Search Indexing builds a list of the files on your drive, so by disabling it, how would that make it faster when searching for files? having a SSD would not make it faster with it is disabled and the constant writing to SSD would not do much harm in my opinion. I for one use Windows search all the time, so disabling it is a bit pointless for me and ask yourself this, can you physically see the performance boost? Also on a final point, by disabling windows search, Windows will have to crawl your entire drive to find a file, but if it was indexed, it would find that file pretty quick. At the end of the day, it does not matter what Carey say or me, its what you need from your computer and if that is leaving Windows Search enabled, then do so.
@@Britec09 I find that if you disable indexing on a drive and you used Windows file explorer to sort the listing by clicking on Last modified date or name then disabling indexing slows this process to a crawl as you wind up having the green progress bar progress across the address bar. I also use Everything from voidtools to search for files. There is also FileLocator Lite or their Pro version from Mythicsoft for searching for something inside of files
Thank you for the video! I have one question! I am working in an office and suddenly the instant search was disappeared from the outlook of my boss. If I click the ' Rebuild ' button are all items deleted? Because as you i understand it is very important the emails not to be lost!
