Having issues with Outlook for Office 365, Outlook 2019, Outlook 2016, Outlook 2013. Outlook Not Responding? when you click send and receive you mail gets Stuck at Processing stage? maybe Outlook has Stopped Working? or keeps Freezing, or Hangs? These problems are very common and I want to show you how to try and resolve a issue with Outlook mail client.

Excellent tutorial. Have had ongoing problem of Outlook not opening. Tried a few fixes suggested on other sites but they all assume a level of IT expertise I don't have, and nothing worked. Yours is easy to follow, unrushed and in plain English. Ran the Outlook repair as you suggested (never knew there was such a thing) and it worked. Oulook has opened instantly every time since. Fingers crossed no more problems, but I've bookmarked your site just in case. Many, many thanks.

The creation of a second profile creates also a new account with a new pst. How can i connect the second profile to the same pst of the first one?

On an enterprise level we just always deleted the profile and created a new one. "User" became "User 1"
It rebuilt everything that generally broke it, and we didnt have to troubleshoot...
With thousands of users on a college campus it was always breaking for someone. Outlook is one of the best programs from Microsoft but seemingly just as unreliable as windows :p
I like to show all possible steps in case one don't work.

Do you have or does anyone know if there's a britec video about Mic randomly turning off , I usually have to plug out and back in or hit the Mic testing thing to get it working again but would be cool if my Mic just worked all the tine while I'm using it.

Hi Brian, Great and informative as usual. Do you know of any tricks for 365 exchange freezing up the presentation view (running in the background according to Task manager) If a client has slow internet this is worse but i have very fast internet by Australian standards and i still have this issue. Any advice?

So uh, I tried making an alt email for reasons but when I created it my mail screen wouldn't load? It said that the mail page was missing or something, but when i went onto my main email it was perfectly fine! How do I fix this on chrome!?
How do you get an email program on your computer? I can only see it while on line! What am I doing wrong?

Hey Britec, I experienced a different problem in Outlook 2016 and later. Once the email password had been changed, Outlook would always failing repair the account after I selected manual reparation (inputting the new PW and verifying incoming and outgoing server address, ports and encryption). I could add this email account on Thunderbird though. I checked that the domain and router IP have not been put in any black list (spam house and such). Impossible. Any advice?

I have a simple enquiry regarding my outlook application.
I tried to enter my email and password in aim to open my account on the outlook application installed on my pc.
Unfortunately, a message pop up saying "an encrypted connection to your mail sever server is not available."
How can i solve this problem given that i have an installation of microsoft office enterprise 2007 and the pc is already placed within a network inside a company.

Just an update.. the ODT file copy process is stalling with "can't read from the source or disk" error. Me suspects either the Hard drive and or ODT file is corrupt.
And what if the user profile is still broken and M$ Ouchlook fails as intended?
i removed my pst file from my outlook 2013, and it still hangs at the processing screen.
It was all going well until you found you Mal file. Where do I find mine? Help! :)

It has been driving me nuts for weeks, watched your video, and did the repair it's now working.
Another update... Just run CrstalDiskinfo app and the Heath Status is 'Caution'. So suspect the ODT file has been corrupted beyond repair perhaps. In any case a rebuild on a new hard drive is required.

Which I click on SCANPST.EXE file and then click start It says the file does not exist. Type a valid filename
Safe mode worked for me
It was stuck on opening and processing
Restarted it to test in normal mode and it opened normally

I have a new Dell computer and followed your instructions. The path you presented does not exist in my computer. I still have a broken Outlook. Does anyone else have any suggestion? Microsoft support is non existent using Covid as an excuse for NO support. I am looking to abandon all their programs. I am hoping the google stuff will work for word, excel and others.
Never had this issue before.
I had it a few times.
2016 Outlook has got worse esp 2021. I have uninstalled outlook across my 3 other devices. I now use Outlook on 1 system only until they can get it fixed. Naturally it is faster but I have a feeling it has a lot do with all the W10 updates

Did you try safe mode option? Otherwise just do a fresh install.

how can even ms make a program like outlook AND not fix its bugs or making new ones after 20 years ?? crap ms.
and I searched for outlook for my windows 10 and it cant find it another reason for the hate of windows 10 since its there alright but never used it since its the main reason for any malware besides flash or infected sites like the adds on pornhub
