Had forgotten to have it in my bag since 20 years and pulled it on my D610 today. This thing is incredible, try out the lightroom lens correction especially for this lens - amazing! Thands for the video!

I bought a 10.5 fisheye in 2007. The number of good photo's I made with it are few and far between. It is a specialized lens for sure, and one that for still needs much more practice. Still, can't separate myself from it though :-)

Great overview; wide-angle lenses can be very challenging in terms of composition. I find them useful in tight spaces and outdoors when I have some elevation to help with foreground clearance. That Dublin crowd photo is a good example of both applications.
Try putting the Nikkor on a really short extension tube and see if it'll do 1:1 repro... or better yet try mounting it in reverse for some real fun :)

I have an older Nikkor 16mm f/2.8 AIS fisheye lens that I rarely use. However, when I need it, I am glad that I have it.

I prefer the slightly wider 14mm to a fisheye.
The 16mm is not really an ultrawide.
But a fisheye distortion can give the images something special.
As long as you keep the lens level distortion is manageable ... 🦘

I have a Voigtlander-LTM 15 f4.5 for my Leica M6. Crazy field of view, so wide my hands get in the shots. Crazy lens I don't use often but probably should.

My most photographed objects are my toes and my left index finger....You need to live in an urban surrounding. Hint: have a streetlight pole close to the edge of the frame. And most important: GET CLOSER UP. No, even closer!

Is there a filter for a 10.5mm nikkor fisheye?
