    Nice review. Particularly like the market stall shot and the shot of the drummer at the gig. I've ordered one and am looking forward to using it. It looks like it does all kinds of things that I didn't even think of!

    Did you ever try taking a photo of night sky and landscape, like stars, milkey way and stuff?

    I have recently acquired a Kenko fish-eye 180 degree No. 85641. But can't find any info on it. Can I use it on Nikon D3400 camera?

    If you keep the horizon in the center of the picture, it will always be flat! Everything else will curve around it :)

    hey what body are you using with this lens. can we get a comparison of this on a full frame body with 16mm 2.8 on a full frame as well..thanks

    Hey. Nice video. What camera are you using it on ? I think about buying the lens but I "just" have a D5100 so I'd have no autofocus . But on the other hand , it's the only fisheye option I found for a DX cam. The pictures, especially the black & white, are those HDR ?

    • @AjMadison789
      @AjMadison789  9 років тому

      +Azúcar Muy Loca Hiya! Thanks :) I'm using it on a D7100. Yeah you would only be able to do manual focus for the lens with that body. The major purchase factor for me in the this lens was that it had AF. Simply because of using it in a live show I have to be able to get the focus quickly, take the shot then move on. As for the pictures none of them are HDR, it's just the way I edit my photos :)

    Hey Aj, thanks for the great review. I'm searching for a fisheye for gig-photography and also stumbled across the quite cheap Sigma 15mm F2.8 EX DG Fisheye. This one seems to have a slooow auto-focus and I wouldn't want to miss the best moments. Long story short: Have you ever used the Sigma or experience with the 16mm Nikon 2.8 Fisheye? The 10.5 seems to be outdated? Thanks in advance :).

      Found out that 10.5 is for DX. My fault :).

    I’m a beginner and I mounted this lens on a Nikon D7100 but it makes noise when the dial on the lens turns back and ford or at least I think that’s what it’s called.... is the lens faulty or do I need to adjust the body settings??? Help, anyone... thanks in advance

    Thank you for this review, I'll probably end up buying this lens after watching your video. I do have 1 question though, I have a Nikon D7100 (crop sensor), I plan to upgrade to a full frame sometime in the future, do you think its better to get this lens now and use crop-mode when I upgrade my body? or just get a full-frame fish-eye lens now and suffer the lesser than 180 degrees FOV on my D7100?

    • @AjMadison789
      @AjMadison789  8 років тому

      Glad you enjoyed it :) It's an awesome lens!! With regards to the full frame upgrade it's a tricky one really. I plan on upgrading myself in the next month and have thought about this myself. In your shoes if possible try renting or giving this lens ago on a full frame camera at a local shop and seeing what you like :) The alternative is to get a full frame Fisheye with AF which to my knowledge is pretty pricey but not that much more if you buy this lens new. Hope it helps if at all lol! :)

      oh! I didn't even know they make a full-frame version of it. Hmmmm now I gotta look! Thank you though. I think in crop-mode on a full-frame body it would look exactly the same as the D7100. When you upgrade to a full-body, what do you plan to do with your lens? Are you swapping it to the full-frame one?

    • @AjMadison789
      @AjMadison789  8 років тому +1

      They do but I think it's a 12 mm or 14mm something like that anyway. I've not really looked into them that much as of yet but will do soon. If I do either get the full frame one or just the body I will do another little video showing the difference between the two :)

    Hi! I have a Little question. Is the autofocus fast like the one from the Nikon 50mm f1.8 (the new one) and is it good for sports Photography? Thank you!
    Yannis

    • @AjMadison789
      @AjMadison789  8 років тому

      Hi, the auto focus is pretty fast yes, even in low light it works very well. As for your question regarding sports it depends what sort of sports you're shooting. As I mentioned in the video, it is good for extreme sports to get crazy angles and perspectives. I hope this helps :)

    • @yanner515
      @yanner515 8 років тому +1

      Yeah thank you! I will use it for skateboarding. I have a gopro for fisheye pictures but these camera only works in low light... I like your channel!:D
