Hi, I'm just gonna point out the ridiculous size of "e" numbers, using an example at 1:30:52 .
So what Roffle said was "I don't need that many more points".
Let's examine that: Roffle had 9.550e23 points. He needed 8.400e25 points. To many people this understandably looks like the numbers are of a similar size. So lets write them out.
955,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 is the amount of points he had.
84,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 is the amount of points he needed.
As you can see now that it's written out, the second number has two more zeros in it. So the number of points he needed is roughly 100 times bigger than the number of points he had.
In other words, when Roffle said "I don't need that many more points", Roffle had about 1% (one percent) of the points he actually needed. And I just can't believe he'd lie to us like that.
And of course this is not actual criticism of anything Roffle did. He played this much better than I could have based on deck management alone. And in case you are reading this: That was one of the most entertaining 90 minutes I've spent watching a youtube video in a while and I wish I was there to see it live. It was a real treat :)

That said though, the strategy with this build is exponential, and a 100x increase is only 7 more doublings, or one other good joker.

@@NStripleseven of course. All builds of this calibre rely on exponentials. And Roffle did exceptionally well building the deck. The number of Red seal glass polychrome queens he aquired without DNA is incredible.
And I think he used 5 of them in a couple hands, so what that hand scored is the limit of what is possible with this build. The only way to get more score would be to gdt a negative selzer or something
Wow, thanks! That really puts the numbers in perspective. At a certain rate is just seems almost nonsensical with the values that can be reached.
My favourite ghost deck run was when I picked up a ankh so I could double my foil joker in the next shop, and then lost to big blind ante 1 😏

Had this in an unseeded run, was super fun getting it. I worked really hard to try and make the whole deck polychrome steel kings + retrigger face cards joker + blueprints, and ended up getting I think to Ante 17 or so before I ran out of steam. Unfortunately didn't get higher hand size, so less steel card procs.

The fact this run enters endless only a third of the way into the video’s runtime either bodes insanely well for how hard this build popped off, or there’s a second run in this video. Either way, 90 minutes of Roffle is a good way to spend an evening.
Im happy to see the comments actually critisize this run, that just means that they all watch this run all the way from the start to the end truly "legendary" run

Just did this seed and it was so much fun! Didn’t get the copy of sock and Buskin but I did get a tiki idol which once you remove everything else except copies of the card you play, is essentially another legendary. I only made it a ante past Roffle but I ended up getting the extra joker voucher but dying immediately after so if you can find a blueprint, you can make it a lot farther I bet.
It feels like every seeded run is just "ghost deck copy crazy joker" It's not bad and it's certainly fun i just wish people were finding crazy seeds with different decks. EDIT: In hindsight it's clear the Ghost Deck has the most consistent potential for fun and crazy runs, unlike just starting with like 10 extra dollars. But still.
theres an erratic deck seed where every card is the 10 of spades which is pretty sick too
I ran this with the plasma deck and got to 9.8e58 so I would argue it’s even stronger there

the seed is the same for every deck. So you could use the same seed with a different deck to get the same shenanigans
Prob some fun crazy stuff possible with the plasma deck and some joker combos

It only adds x2 to the score while the hanging chad redraws the jokers for x8
Effectively the photograph is a x16 considering all jokers and the hanging chad was an x64

Almost, seltzer doesn't add value to ballot but photograph gets value so it's 4x for the seltzer rounds, but I get your point
Also consider this. Brainstorm copying sock and buskin with triboulet is x2³⁰ and copying triboulet is also x2³⁰ but if you are copying the sock and buskin with the hanging chad it's x2³² but copying triboulet x2³³. Now copying sock and buskin with photograph is also x2³³ so are they the same?
I don't think so, because we also have to consider polychrome. With polychrome the copying the sock and buskin becomes the obvious choice. And the hanging chad is slightly worse with copying sock and buskin. Here's the calculation. Photograph with copying sock and buskin with the first card being a polychrome x2³³*1.5³ and hanging chad would be x2³²*1.5⁴. And the photograph seems to be better. If we copy triboulet the hanging chad would be x2³³*1.5³. Still the same though. Now if we add one more polychrome to the calculation I think it becomes pretty obvious.
So with photograph and 2 polychromes x2³³*1.5⁶
With the hanging chad it's either x2³²*1.5⁷ or x2³³*1.5⁵ which are both worse.
So I think photograph is actually better in late game.

yes, I think you can get negative jokers in packs, because they show up in the shop sometimes as well. I feel like their occurrence rate is like half that of polychrome.
Also, moving one of the legendary jokers to the far left would have been a bit higher math.(when they have the red seal)
It's the difference of each queen getting triggered four times, times-16'ing the mult each time, versus each queen getting triggered five times, times-8'ing the mult each time. Except... I didn't account for the glass also... so actually it's exactly the same each way Lol.

I've took the seed and going to mess with it. I think (maybe) this is an e50 seed. Its definitely an e40 seed. Ecto on trading card killed his forward movement, as did staying on queens. Going kings opens idol possibilities later of you can find it and focusing on flush 5s can boost his money for rerolling shop.
Played a couple runs and got 4.250e48. I'm not sure how much more you can get out of it.
Ended the run with 3 sock (1neg), the 2 tribs, brainstorm, blueprint, smiley (1neg) and a Chad. Went lucky red seal K♤ into glass late on. There is an idol early on but it's hard to hold while you build the deck. Popping and idol late could get the e50.
Fun run though.
Question I'll probably never get answered. Why the re mic over something like sm7b?
Seeing him risk glass cards when he could win with just a pair is always horrifying despite the fact he still makes it to Antes I could only dream of reaching

"Royal straight flush" 😂😂 when it's called a royal flush and is valued exactly the same as a straight flush in this game.
@@cheekibreeki6255 Royal Flush is just short for Royal Straight Flush, which is the real name of the hand. It's just a naming convention. In normal poker, the only reason the Royal Straight flush is worth more than a normal Straight Flush is because the cards are higher. They're essentially the same hand.
@@Pink_MaggitYeah and royal flush is 5 specific cards so it's harder to hit than a normal straight flush, which has many more possible combinations to achieve in comparison since you can have A-5, 2-7, 8-Q, etc. etc. so in poker the harder it is to assemble the hand the more it's worth. Royal flush is just the fancy term and less syllables than royal straight flush.
To be clear, the ante that killed him was 10 thousand times bigger than his score.

The smiley face is SO much better than photograph since photograph only triggers for the first one played, and smiley adds 5 before the next multiplication every single time. Once you get sock and buskin, it makes things wild

I had a run where i got stencil joker early and then duplicated him. What's weird is that if you have more then one stencil joker they don't count as taking a joker slot so they each give x5 instead of x4. I then found a brainstorm which resulted in 3 stencil jokers each giving x4. I added card sharp which dropped the stencil jokers to x3 but resulted in x27 for the first hand but x81 for the second hand.

There's about a million grains of salt in a cup, and about 1.3e15 atoms in the moon. You're slamming down killer hands two orders of magnitude higher than the number of atoms in the moon to get grains of salt in a cup. I think you're gonna nail that blind. This seed is no joke, I gotta try it out.
also how come the game didn't simply put spade blocking boss with all those spades?
Splash would have been a good idea because you could play anything with Kings and Wueens in it

How come when I copy this seed the first joker is always Canio and never Tribulet?
I assume it probably has to do with this being an older version of the game
There were a few changes made from when he played to the time you played that has affected the way the seed works. So while it still gives a legendary joker, it is not the same one.
I wonder if the Wheel of Fortune is picking one of the cards you've got, then rolling, and if the card is already Polychrome it goes "NOPE"? That would make the chance more like 3/20, which is closer to what we've seen in this run.
Nah, Wheel just ignores cards that it can't hit. You can't take it if all Jokers have a modifier.

Seriously, the ONE time wheel worked was on the joker that you sell to copy another random joker and that's it. I don't even want to go back and count how many failed because it had to have been dozens. Nice run though, those were some huge numbers.
Photograph was better at 19:10 because the value stacka up much faster than smiley face.
With smiley face the calculation for the first card would be ((6*2+4)*2³+4)*2² = 528 or ((10*2+4)*2³+4)*2² = 784
The calculation for photograph is 6*2⁸ = 1536 or 10*2⁸ = 2560
As you can imagine the next plus fours are pretty inconsequential after that.
the plus fours get multiplied by the triboulets tho

Let's say he plays a full house with only mult cards 3 kings and 2 queens.
Each queen and king gives x8 mult because its x2³, except the first one which triggers twice .
Smiley face in this scenario would be: (((((14×8+8)×8+8)×8+8)×8+8)×8+8)×8 = 3,969,600
And photograph would be: (((((10×16+4)×16+4)×8+4)×8+4)×8+4)×8 = 10,766,624
i shit you not i had a run in which the start i had gotten triboulet with an ankh, was probably the craziest run of my life.
wouldn’t it have been more beneficial to copy the effect of hanging chad instead of triboulet? because then you’re technically procking triboulet 10 times total instead of 9

Not sure I follow the numbers you're giving but I agree with your result. Here's my numbers. The only thing that matters in this question is "how many xMULT triggers per card?" as all other values are either unaffected or negligible. Assuming 5 poly glass red seal queens for all calculations. Having fewer of those makes tribulet even better. The affect of which card is copied can be represented by "mult = 2^(5 * E * T) * 1.5^(5 * T)", where E is the number of X2 effects per trigger and T is number of triggers.
Case 1: Copy sock & buskin
5 triggers per card (base, 3 sock, red seal). Per trigger: 2 tribulet, 1 glass, 1 poly, giving three X2 mult effects per card trigger. Plug it into the equation (E=3 and T=5) we get
"2^(5 * 3 * 5) * 1.5^(5 * 5)" ≈ 9.5e26
Case 2: Copy tribulet
4 triggers per card (base, 2 sock, red seal). Per trigger: 3 trib, 1 glass, 1 poly, giving four X2 mult effects per card trigger. Plug it into the equation (E=4 and T=4) we get
"2^(5 * 4 * 4) * 1.5^(5 * 4) ≈ 4.0e27"
Roughly 5x more points copying tribolet. Would've been better to copy it at all or almost all stages of the game. The extra chips from the extra trigger acts like a ~1.05x mult (I'm probably overestimating it) and thus fails to influence the outcome.
For reference, the easy way to calculate this in real time is just balance the number of triggers and effects. 3 and 5 isn't balanced, 4 and 4 is. You probably learned in geometry that the rectangle is biggest when the sides make a square, it's the same thing here, 4*4 is bigger than 3*5, so all you need to do during runs is keep the numbers balanced. If you can't perfectly balance them then lean towards triggers if you have any poly, lean towards effects otherwise.
TL;DR: I agree copying tribolet was better, here's my work shown & a rule of thumb to follow

Don’t understand why you don’t take the jacks when you can upgrade them to queen.
Once you have a made card (a poly queen is almost the best you can) you shouldnt take any cards except maybe purple seal. I just finished a run on this seed with 4.250e48. I took the queen and 1 purple, then didnt open any more standard packs. Got a few purplers in the shop but nothing else is worth it.

If you knew that there were 2 more invis jokers coming, you could have gone so much further. I blind ran the seed before watching, and seeing you get that negative obelisk instead of negative invisible was painful.
Edit: both invisibles hit sock n bus. I didn't get third one, cuz i didn't know they were coming and so I was over joker limit with no way to neg

Edit: I don't really get the appeal of glass card for any situation other than emergencies. It is a big mult, but you just dont want to play it. Wouldn't you rather just have it on any other card that you will play? At least I cant imagine wanting to put permanent upgrades like red seal on it.
Well, as you can see from the video, Roffle needed to be getting that huge mult from playing glass cards. If he hadn't had a bunch of red seal polychrome glass cards that he was playing, he would've just been dead in the water. It might be slightly better to have one red seal polychrome mult card and then four red seal polychrome glass cards in the ideal hand, and I think Baron + Mime + Red Seal Steel Kings can also be good if you can get enough hand size, but for the jokers Roffle had available to him glass cards were crucial.
