i found a 880 with a bush hog for a reasonable price in the knoxville area.. that is what brought me here.. i am glad i found your video.. thank you for sharing positivity with others and best wishes
Really looking forwrad to seeing the progress on these 1210's. Here in Scotland, back in the day we had a 885 with loader, 990, 2 x 995 and a 1412 for running the forage harvester. They were all very well maintained and I cannot remember a lost day ever, apart from standard maintenance days. Great machines
I just love the look of David Brown tractors. Looks like a great project and if you pull it off ,which I am sure you will that will be a awesome tractor. Please store it under roof.

You're damn right about Case loader. You got something. My 880 has the original David Brown wire tipping bucket. This was my goal at the time. Getting the original 1966 front loader. But at the end, it is useless. In those days, farm tractor loaders are really on top with the technology. But they're too easy to break and built with thin materials. Case front loaders were at the time and are still well engineered for hard jobs. My only hope is that you will choose the right color to get along with your 4wd David Brown 1210. They were coming Case orange color... Not exactly DB's colors ! To my opinion, Case loader can be lettered David Brown and wear brown color. After all, DB's turned orange in the mid 70's and became Case-David Brown ! Brown is for me a more agressive color. But it's my own opinion here...
@@lambfarms1 Hi. That's a great idea. Chocolate brown but with white Case lettering ! Do you plan to put the original decals ? That would be nice looking. I bought my DB880 Selectamatic in 2012. Eleven years later and nearly $20000 spent on it, I'm close to the end. No regrets here but if I knew that back then, I would do things VERY differently.
Are you going to do a will it start video? Wait a minute you said he had two 1210's. Sooo! Why not take three and make two? This is how the addiction starts. David Browns are great tractors. Other than the engine they are a Case. They just got a bad rap. Some people say the engines are junk and some say the hydraulics are. I say that it's all neglect! The cheapest tractor on fuel I have ever ran was a 990 DB. Don't know anything about a 1210 but I like the looks of that 4x4. Looks TOUGH! Just needs a cab to go with that case loader.
Ryan, I totally agree with everything you said. Back in the day we had a 885 with loader, 990, 2 x 995 and a 1412 for running the forage harvester. They were all very well maintained and I cannot remember a lost day ever, apart from standard maintenance days. Great machines
Ryan ,the 1210 is 100pc David Brown ,Case in name only .they were not any worse than other makes re breakdowns and problems. After Case took over I think the quality went downhill fast,no investment ,no money ,no development with the inevitable demise of David Brown Tractors.Nice to see so many DB fans keeping the name alive.
@@i.f.colville2497 I didn't mean that Case built the 1210 David Brown. But if you look at a newer J.I.Case say a 1390 other than the engine it's got all the looks and features of D.B.. Case took all the good from D.B. and modernized their tractors. I don't know if any parts will swap but they are similar. You can even see D.B. similarities in the Case I.H. tractors. Must of been something good there.
Very well said the only thing I would do with the fwa tractor is turn the final drives about one position on the bolt holes and it won't be down in the ass so much
Way to go
Love those old school DBs and same age Internationals 😊
My Grandpa had a 995. I’d love to find another David Brown someday. I love all of the content you put out, can’t wait for the next episodes!
Best pulling tractors DB 💯👍
Agreed. Heavy with subframe helps

This will be a fun project! Can't wait to see it!
My grandfather bought our 995 new in 1978. I still own it and it’s still going strong. I’ve subbed to follow this project
Good luck the 1210 project- will be watching

My Dad had two 990's and they were good tractors. Wish I had them now.
Nice project! And couldn’t agree more on your messaging, thanks for sharing!
Love the Browns! I run an 880, and my father had a 1210 when I was a kid!
Just found your channel today. I really enjoy watching fellow farmers! I subscribed!
I have a 990 I’m working on, great tractors, fuel efficient then all hell. We used it with a NH 489 haybine.
I've driven many different David Brown tractors over the years and they would always be the tractor I would choose to work if given a choice.
And then there were 3 😂. Glad you found a decent parts tractor, that's exactly what I'd have done too
Nosotros tenemos un 990 y todavía anda caminando buenísimos tractores
Can’t wait to see the 2 tractors become 1.
Love those tractors! Another awesome video!
I worked for a gentleman when I was younger he had two David Brown a 990 and a 1200 we farmed almost 300 acre with those tractors

That’s what I’m thinking! I’m thinking the same chocolate brown, but with cream Case letters

Great vid. Do NOT wreck one of those 12s. Repair both. I have update series [power orange] 1210 and 1412. Great machines.
i love them also i had a really nice case 885 db kept it for a while i never could get the lift to work proper any ideas
There’s valves next to the 3pt lever under a cover to the right. Sometimes those valves get sticky. They’re like bullets
Nice
We never owned or run any david brown. Had a few in the area and they are usually super reliable.
I used to plow with a 990 with no power steering it was not fun.The rear end in the David Brown cried to much for me.

The 990s the best off the bunch , watch the 1210s
Looking for a mechanical fuel pump for a 990
Make 2 good tractors and turn one into a small round baling tractor
The w stands for wish I was a figure out the rest for yourself
