  • In today’s video, I go help my buddy Aaron square bale some hay. He’s going to feed it to his calves this winter.
You’ll see a Duetz, Case, Valtra, John Deere, and New Holland tractors in this video as well as some Kuhn, New Holland, and Vermeer equipment. I hope you all enjoy!

Great video, I always enjoy your videos. I never knew Valtra/Valnet had been in the US. They are a Finnish brand, now owned by AGCO. Valmet was rebranded to Valtra about 25 years back. They owned SISU engines which many reckon is the main reason AGCO bought them. The 3 AGCO tractor brands in Europe are MF, Fendt and Valtra

Valmet was the successor of Volvo tractors

I have a Hoelschur. Works good just make sure your hydraulic pumps have enough flow. I think it needs at least 12gpm. You can check.

I live in southern West Virginia. I have been to your area. I’ve been to Sneedville several times. I bought two trailers and a truck bed from Greens. Beautiful country. I have a New Holland Workmaster 60. I’ve had it for 8 years.I love it. Like yours it is a little light on the rear. I have fluid in the rear tires and 2 weighs on each rear wheel. I keep it in 4x4 all the time when I’m in the field. But here we don’t have much level ground.

Yes sir! Neighbors helping neighbors is awesome! My neighbor cuts my 10 acres of hay. I need squares bales so he helps me load and unload. Then in return I give him the the other 5 acres worth of hay. Which he round bales for his cows.

Guy in lee county has a couple Valtras. He tried to start his own dealership and sell Branson but it never took off. Guess the fact when you drove by he was always in his Valtra an never a Branson people didn't want to buy one lol.

I know exactly where Greene’s is. I didn’t realize they sold the Valtra’s. That probably explains where the one I saw in Speedwell came from.

Valtra is a 800 I think. 75 or so horsepower. Been a super reliable tractor for his family.
My buddy just bought the Duetz about 6 months ago. He really likes it so far.

4 front and 4 rear grapple setup could work well, with a small tractor it would be very efficient and workflow would be excellent. The utility too of it is great also. Fits most places. Quieter. I like the older small 4x4 kubotas with front end loader, uses no diesel, doesnt impact the fields. light, hard to get stuck, AND it can still pull well being 4x4 better than most 2wd tractors of much larger size.
Not too high off the ground either. Short wheel base doesnt kick and buck as much.
One could manage ALOT of land with one of those, if you 'implement' a no till no shred policy. Sickle bar mower would be my first choice and probably that baler, or even an older one. Can do it very well.
I would invest in bulletproof tires for one of those little tractors and keep the sunlight rain and outlaws off of it.

That guy that has the accumulator in the video clip I put in cut down a 10 bale grapple to use on the front of his little Kubota to a 5 bale.
They also made a 10 bale 3 pt hitch to haul to the barn.
