Interestingly I met some angry landowners on the route taking it down due to the risk to wildlife and stock. The way is quite well marked anyway so maybe so much plastic around the countryside isn't so great.
Really lovely Catherine. You make the paths and trails of England so enticing. Not sure what was going on with plastic markers 😐. Very enjoyable and so watchable - thx so much 👍
Glad you enjoyed. A new bit of the country for me. On the Mendip Way FB page there's concern about all that plastic on the route, and I came across some angry landowners taking some of it down while on the walk.
Stunning countryside hike through the Mendips Catherine, really enjoyed this one. Unusual markers on this one, maybe just temporary? How's the rain situation down your way? 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed. Yes, now in interesting FB conversation on the Mendip Way group about all the plastic on the route - landowners are not happy. Seems it was for a group walking challenge of some sort. Getting rain more now but the land still looks yellow and parched.
Glad you liked it. One of the good things about the route is that it passes through enough towns and villages for water not to be a problem. I was able to refill from church taps, at a pub, in cafes etc. also that clear stream on the first day.
Lovely video Catherine. Apologies in advance if you've been asked this before but are you originally from Australia? Thought I could detect a bit of an accent
Beautiful country side views.
Nice hike, beautiful scenery. Lots of things to see along the way. Wishing you a wonderful day 👍
Glad you enjoyed.
Beautiful little video, whoever put up all those way markers deserves a star. Hardy

Perfect video once again. Enjoyable, relaxing but interesting, it felt like I was on the adventure with you.
Thank you. It was a new bit of the country for me - amazing to look out over the Somerset levels.
Hi there, looks like a lovely walk and captured beautifully. Might add it to my 'Would like to walk' list, atb Simon
It was certainly one I'd been thinking about for a while and rewarding to do.
Beautiful trail Catherine , land looks a lot more parched than up here in the north. Tfs atb Dave
It's one I've wanted to try for a while. Lovely bit of the country but yes, we need so much rain down here.

Wonderful part of the world
Agree. Especially the view out over the levels.
Lovely views and scenery, thanks for sharing. Were you collecting the water to drink?

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I'm originally from Tasmania. Well spotted!
