For all of you saying you would do same thing for your kids--shame on you. What about Tristyns mother? What if she washed off only solid evidence and he wasnt convicted and he went on and killed YOUR child, or anyone else? My son is same age as Aiden and i would be devastated if he committed this crime but i would NOT cover for him. Thats the problem with society these days, there are no consequences for actions anymore.

I taught my son early. If you break the law I will always love you but I will turn you in. When he was 4 or 5 he put some handcuff keys in his pocket while we were at the store. The next morning my husband and I drove him back to the store and made him give the keys to the owner. Then we decided it was time to call the police and got them to help us. Remember that show scared straight? That's what we did. Except it wasn't with a bunch of other kids. The officer took him through the process of fingerprinting and the mug shot. Then he was put in a (holding) cell at the station. When that cell door slammed shut 😢 he yelled out for me. I was crying inside. But I couldn't let him see me upset. Once we thought he had enough the officer opened the cell door and let him out. Then he had a long talk with our son. Before we left the station the owner thanked us for taking control. The officer said he was going to suggest what we did to other parents! Our son is 23 and is a productive adult that respects the law. He is also our Uber driver whenever we go out on the weekends. 😂😂
🙏🏼🙏🏼 to all parents showing their children to respect the law and to take responsibility. Don't do the crime if you're not willing to do the time! ✌🏼

I did the same thing. It was so hard to do. I saw my late father bail my little brother out of trouble multiple times, going to jail ,finally prison and my dad never stopped enabling him until the day he died. Only after he died ,did my brother straighten out his life. I was determined my own children would be raised differently. My son went to jail for not paying traffic violations and I didn’t bail him out, even though my husband wanted to. I never gave him commissary money or visited him and he was mad at me for it. He said he would never go to jail again and he hasn’t. Last week ,he told me that he was going to raise his kids the way we did. Man, that was the best Mother’s Day gift ever!!

She seems like an arrogant person. I would never cover for my child the way she did. When my son was 16, I found a pistol under his pillow. He was hiding it for a friend and I called the cops on him and had him sent directly to a program for 3 months. He had been doing other things that I was starting to hear about and as a single mom who worked full time, with 3 other children, I had lost control of him. It broke my heart when he told me he hated me and would never forgive me. Today, he thanks me.

She isn’t fighting this to cause more pain to the Bailey family; it is a matter of course that she tried to hide evidence of her son’s actions and this is a consequence of Law Enforcement bringing charges against her for doing that. By complete coincidence, an FBI agent came to my door, shortly after, to do a background check on a neighbor who was ranking up in the government. After speaking to the agent about what he was asking, I informed him of what my boys did and asked if he could help me scare them straight!! He was amazing and sat and talked to them for a good 20 minutes. Took his time to teach my boys a lesson. This was about 15 years ago, and they remember it like it was yesterday! Once the mother tried to conceal (or alter) the evidence, she was risking being held responsible for her role in trying thwart police efforts to solve the crime. That is a crime in almost every state. Even if she had come forward and admitted it was done under duress, she still was trying to interfere with an investigation. But owning up early on might have resulted in a less severe sentence. Not now - this Judge sat through a lot of evidence even with the plea deal so I would expect him to rule strongly here.

So I've thought a lot about this as a mother. I think if the police came and took my son and accused him of committing this horrific crime and I truly did not believe that it was possible and I came across the clothes he wore the previous night and saw blood all over them I would have went into complete shock. It's natural instinct to want to protect your child. I probably would have done the same thing. You are supposed to love your child unconditionally. But once that shock wore off and then you come to the realization that he did commit this horrific crime. I would come forward and admit my guilt and say I was just trying to protect my child. Own up to it. Going through a trial and all this is a waste. It makes her look even worse and unremorseful for what her child did. Aiden's grandma had the courage to come forward and apologize to Tristan's family for what he did and explain that he was not raised that way. His mother is not helping by taking this to trial.

If my son did anything like this it would be like he killed me too. He'd be turned in by myself and I'd be heading to early grave. My son and I are so close but I couldn't cover for him

My brother attacked his gf when she broke up with him when i was younger, i was about 13 and he was 19, he stabbed her 30+ times and cut her face up (she was a model) she lived, thank god! But my mother absolutly lost her mind...she died from cancer a few years after this happened and i remember her clearly being so CRUSHED that her son had the ability to do that to another human.....she made me promise before she passed that i would always choose love over hate and i always have....and always will! Ive been in trouble yes 🤷 but only ever for defending myself.
Aidens mommy is a genuine monster....i think back and imagine him being my brother....in another dimension i imagine aidens mother having the integrity my mother had and reprimanding him on the spot, instead of washing the blood out of his clothes....the Bailey family could of suffered less.

Way I look at it she conceived a monster so it’s one way to punish her for what she did with his clothes. Any reasonable parent with good moral fiber will know deep down whether or not they have a bad kid. She knew, she most definitely knew.

This makes me wonder what other deplorable acts this woman has done to lead her to be in this predicament. Now she is going to answer for her part in trying to get her son from being held accountable for murdering Trystin Bailey.

We need to stand up and do the right thing, as a mother as a human being. Nothing good comes from being deceptive and lying. She deserves being held accountable and I do hope she gets more than a slap on her hand. I’d instantly turn my son in for committing a crime, but I’m fortunate to say, he was raised right & I taught him how to be a respectful man.
