Alex will probably not race. Anything. He has said that even Strava tracking annoys him, because it takes an enjoyable ride and exposes the “flaws.” Competition just isn’t his brand of fun.
When I see stuff like this it's just mind boggling to me the ingenuity that people have to be able to build a trail for recreational mountain biking purposes, all the way up the side of a mounting to the top. Digging out a trail, building berms, jumps, wooden features, rock features, etc., etc., etc. and this isn't even all of the trails at Whistler. Look how much trail this is that they had to build by hand, it's insane. Then not only that, but they have to maintain the trails after they build it. The amount of work these people put into the trails blows my mind.
Hey Brian that was totally awesome for sure... Chin cam was perfect super clear and smooth thanks for taking us in another incredible journey can’t for the next video.... one very happy patron....👍
It's absolutely bonkers to see how much progress you've made in these last few years. Even more so to see how much more progress you can still make going forward. Absolutely shredding it out there Brian!
Great job Brian! I love how you can finish a weeklong cross country race then immediately go and do amazing on a super difficult enduro race. Shows how much skill and endurance you have on a bike. Nice!
Wow Brian, This looked surprisingly good, just the right amount of rawness yet still smooth enough. There was a tone of boulders out there looking for hugs ! I think that you've got to get some BKXC bobbleheads made up to sale now because apparently your'e a human gimbal ! Watch out Evo, (BKXC Gimbals) coming to a trail near you ! Great job kid !
Brian, awesome video! Love the raw intensity of your content man. Also, awesome Jersey bro; order placed as promised! Can't wait to get it! (and gloves). Cheers!
Your riding has gotten much better, since I started watching you a few years back. When you first started I thought I could totally keep up with you. Now I'm pretty sure you'd leave me in the dust. Nice work.
Brian is the fittest of the group. Daily mtb rider plays for keeps and is collecting. Boostmaster is the sensei, enough said. Paul the punter's skills are catching up with his mouth.. The others I just haven't watched enough to "judge" yet...
I work 50 hourish weeks. You spend more time in the forest and outdoors than I do in my office. You live the dream sir. Also thanks for the intros to the other channels, they all just got a new subscriber!
Awesome video and love your infectious upbeat energy and stoke! I was pleasantly surprised that you beat BCPOV on that stage. You must be in fine form after the BC Bike Race. I just joined Patreon as I can't wait to see day 2 and I gotta support my favorite UA-camr and NorCal local! Go Brian!
Sick Brian! I felt your stoke level all the way here in Norway man so I believe you when you say it was high! 🤘 And speaking of merch, I am waiting for your top and gloves to arrive. Can't wait 🤩 Good run, cheers!
Great vid! Gimbal manufacturers will be nervous, and the sound was crisp and clear! Thanks for the effort. This should be an annual event with YT pros. Live the dream!
Great stuff man, the vid quality was great same with sound. Really says something for the hero 7. And awesome riding man, I would have been totally dead after that.
Just want to explain just how excellent that transition over to the 'lemme explain this in case you don't already know' segment. Really worked super-well, totally a fan of that, especially since that's taking the pressure off the live cuts, since you can do some magic and make it happen. Keep up the radness!
I can't wait until the channel grows and you get a second person on the team, another guy riding behind you and filming you would be f*cking amazing because you're a great rider
I must say, the chinbar footage actually looks really good ! It’s smooth enough and I find it seems to minimise the “GoPro effect” on a lot of the more knarly parts of the trail. Makes things looks scary like they should be ! Lol
Honestly I love that chin mount angle. Smooth enough to not make me sick but still shows some bumps. I think it reduces the GoPro effect a little too since you can feel a little more of the trail when watching it.
Great job Brian! I’m glad you finally had a reason to try the Hero7 Black with HyperSmooth. I hope the footage turned out better than you expected. Audio came through pretty good too.
I always explain the race types in motorsport terms: - DH is like dragster: one way only, and if you can keep it together ultimate speed wins you the trophy, - XC is like circuit racing: going round and round, and pray you have a good engine to make it to the finish, - Enduro is like rally: it doesn't (really) matter how much you're pootling along on the connectors and what state you turn up to the starts, as long as you go like stink on the stages.
Feels weird seeing a BKXC Video On The chin but it’s actually quite good to be honest, though I think you need a different FOV maybe superview then it will look quicker as well 👍👍👌
Brian, I enjoy the gimbal footage for its cinematic views but the chin mount shows the grade and texture of the trail so much better. Please don’t use super view. It distorts and increases the Gopro effect to the point that we can’t tell how steep the trail is. Your current FOV is the best I’ve seen on a chin mount. Just tilt that camera up a little more and we will be able to read the trail with you! Awesome job!
Awesome job man! I’ve been MIA for a while due to shoulder surgery/recovery and work. This is the first vid I’ve seen of you in months. Dude you’ve gotten wayyyy faster. Keep on kickin ass bro. 🤙🏻
I really like the video from this setup. It gives us a better view of how rough the trail is and gives us a better, in the action feel. You need to do some more like this.
Damn, I guess I'd never seen a full run video up to now. You just kept going, and going, and going, and going. LOL. 25 minutes straight of descending seems heavenly being from Texas and all :)
You're absolutely flying! And the chin mount worked a charm! Would've been perfect if it was tilted up a notch. And it must be so much more convenient than wearing a gimbal and having to worry about all that extra crap.
loving the chin mount view less things to worry about just power bank battery pack and a wind cover over go pro its awesome been using this set up for a while i love it nice one brian
Wow! Amazing ride on day 1. Been a long time since I've smelled Whistler loam. Inspires me to find a reason to get out west from the 416. Saw the Eric version of this adventure earlier, too bad the second day was so wet. However, you persevered, you're a mountain biker, getting beat up is the tax, enjoying it is the reward... Keep up the good work. One day I'll catch up to you guys on the trails.
Next year Syd, Macky, Alex, and Seth need to join the race...that would be epic!
Mi Self and bobo
Damn if Phil Kmetz got involved. it would be no competition.
And Phil
Get Nate Hills in there to be honest...
Alex will probably not race. Anything. He has said that even Strava tracking annoys him, because it takes an enjoyable ride and exposes the “flaws.” Competition just isn’t his brand of fun.

In all honesty, the hero 7 in the chin is looking way better than the gimbal. Also does slightly more justice to the trail.
A lot of breathing audio
@@lal5555f I'm sure it can be taken care of with a little fiddling
Agreed. Doing "more justice to the trail" is a great way to describe it.
agreed. and the audio just needs a wind breaker on the gopro. added bonus, none of that hard metal strapped to your sternum in case of a crash
Disagree. I think the chest mount is considerably smoother.
Love your enthusiasm! You did well in this race. All you needed was someone to catch--you were smashing it when you passed Ryan!
Great job Brian! I love how you can finish a weeklong cross country race then immediately go and do amazing on a super difficult enduro race. Shows how much skill and endurance you have on a bike. Nice!

I can't believe how fast that guy was going that past you! He GONE!!!
Great Video!
Almost saw a tear in your eye, when you found out you couldn't use the Chest Cam.
I actually really liked the chin mount
Man, this was fierce!!! Love these collab vids with so many friendly channels. Chin cam worked fine too. Nice one Brian 👍🏼
After watching all the other guys race I’ve been really looking forward to this video. Enduro really is a great racing format!
Brian, awesome video! Love the raw intensity of your content man.
Also, awesome Jersey bro; order placed as promised! Can't wait to get it! (and gloves). Cheers!

The others I just haven't watched enough to "judge" yet...
Awesome. My heart was pounding watching. Ripmo just bounced perfectly between those trees! What a capable bike.
I am in AWE! Additionally, thank you so very much for sharing your compatriots' channels. Your generosity and advice is truly (and daily) inspiring.
I work 50 hourish weeks. You spend more time in the forest and outdoors than I do in my office. You live the dream sir. Also thanks for the intros to the other channels, they all just got a new subscriber!
Congrats, man! Ride was good enough, no talking was necessary. Also the hero 7 on your chin was good enough. I really enjoyed the whole ride with you.
Go Brian!
You are shredding out there Brian!
Sick Brian! I felt your stoke level all the way here in Norway man so I believe you when you say it was high! 🤘
And speaking of merch, I am waiting for your top and gloves to arrive. Can't wait 🤩 Good run, cheers!
Fantastic! Thanks for the support
You sure have gotten way faster than the good ol Bronson days Brian! Good shit dude!
Great vid! Gimbal manufacturers will be nervous, and the sound was crisp and clear! Thanks for the effort. This should be an annual event with YT pros. Live the dream!
Thanks for taking us along. That was GNARLY!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is shaping up to be an epic race! Looked like a really solid performance from you Brian
Great stuff man, the vid quality was great same with sound. Really says something for the hero 7.
And awesome riding man, I would have been totally dead after that.
You were flying! That dude that passed you wasn’t human. He was gone! Great job!
Ive been waiting for this one. Awesome Brian 🤟🏼
Just want to explain just how excellent that transition over to the 'lemme explain this in case you don't already know' segment. Really worked super-well, totally a fan of that, especially since that's taking the pressure off the live cuts, since you can do some magic and make it happen. Keep up the radness!
Very good ride.
Nice colors , that grey goes with other colors as well, especially yellow.
Awesome riding! Footage came out really good too.
Wow video turned out way better than i expected...great job beating BCPOV thats a victory in itself
Thank you so much for using metric system in your videos, it makes things so much more easier for us from old continent... :)
Old continent LOL that’s freaking hilarious. I’m in America and I swear I wish we used the metric system. Pretty sure everybody here wishes that LOL
I wanna see your van build. Would be awesome videos.
From watching all the UA-camrs videos from this race I feel like I know the course. Haha
Great riding man! The top section above tree line looks sick
Chin mount view looks great! What a trail! Amazing ride!
Awesome ride man! Your riding has improved. Congrats on completing such a tough race.
I can't wait until the channel grows and you get a second person on the team, another guy riding behind you and filming you would be f*cking amazing because you're a great rider
Amazing video, thanks for showing the entire race. 👍
I must say, the chinbar footage actually looks really good ! It’s smooth enough and I find it seems to minimise the “GoPro effect” on a lot of the more knarly parts of the trail. Makes things looks scary like they should be ! Lol
That dude Richard when he passed you so fast it looked like a damn video game. Great vid thanks for your efforts into them👍
Wow that trail is gnarly. Well done!
Honestly I love that chin mount angle. Smooth enough to not make me sick but still shows some bumps. I think it reduces the GoPro effect a little too since you can feel a little more of the trail when watching it.
That chin mount view is legit. Consider keeping it.
That was an absolute pleasure to watch. Who needs a gimbal, that chin mount view was awesome . 👏
*just so you know, it looks equally if not better than hero 4 with karma grip*
*sound is good too, hero 4 will be history soon enough*
Now that’ s proper race! Keep grinding!
Brilliant riding Brian
When that guy passed u tho🤣🤣🤣proper quick dude
Keep up the good work!😁😁😁
The image stabilization on that camera is impressive. Also, awesome riding.
The video we have all been waiting for!!! 👍😎🌴
Wow that was really rad! Nice ride Brian!
Josh is more a beast on the bike than I imagined!
Haha I've been known to surprise people on my bike 😂
Looks great! I wouldn’t have known this is non-stabilized footage.
Beautiful colours with that camera too, nice one Brian
Stoked. Pretty much the only word you need to know in BC these days. Good riding. You are much more comfortable in the air. Iooking fluid!
Great video BKXC. Can’t wait to see how the rest of the race goes!
Awesome riding... cool view on the chin mount... might need to point it up a bit though.... looking forward to seeing the other vids... 🤙🏽
This video was amazing! Love the chincam, can't wait for more.
Hey buddy that chin cam worked a treat. Great ride today mate, you did real good. Go well for tomorrow.
Dude, I love you videos 🤘you keep getting better and better and it’s super awesome to watch you grow!!!!
Tq bkxc, for explaning the bike racing in the discipline of mtb.
So cool! Hero 7 footage looks good. Thst was some good racing, Brian. Well done!
Great Ride, sweet video footage, the chin cam angle was mint! Gave a really good perspective of what you endured during the whole descent!!
Love the raw edit, I like that you show the time of the first place rider and I watch in a Denny's in grand forks ND
NICE...good ta see ya racing, more of that and your riding chops will get better and also your fitness. The chin cam was pretty darn good. KUDOS...
10:40 some random info, lol!
Footage looks smooth as can be man, good job!
Great job Brian! I’m glad you finally had a reason to try the Hero7 Black with HyperSmooth. I hope the footage turned out better than you expected. Audio came through pretty good too.
Wow, that stoke is really contagious! I'm gone biking😁
“Ok the chain is off”
KEEPS RIDING
I always explain the race types in motorsport terms:
- DH is like dragster: one way only, and if you can keep it together ultimate speed wins you the trophy,

- Enduro is like rally: it doesn't (really) matter how much you're pootling along on the connectors and what state you turn up to the starts, as long as you go like stink on the stages.
I often describe enduro as being like rally, it has liaisons sections (up hill) and race sections (which are the down hill parts)
Feels weird seeing a BKXC Video On The chin but it’s actually quite good to be honest, though I think you need a different FOV maybe superview then it will look quicker as well 👍👍👌
Needs to be pointed up a tad more I think. I do like chin mount videos more and more as I compare chest to chin.
Chin cam isn't bad. It was cool seeing the head checks. Looking back etc.
Brian that was awesome. You need to use that POV from time to time. I feel like it shows how much skill you have. You were on fire! Good job!
Brian, I enjoy the gimbal footage for its cinematic views but the chin mount shows the grade and texture of the trail so much better. Please don’t use super view. That’s one janky ass ride Brian you did well bro 🤟🤟🤟
Great riding 👍🏻 loved the editing!
I have been waiting for your pov of this!
For a chin mount that looks freaking amazing!!
Really inspirational watching you guys attack that course!
Excelent Video my friend ! Congratulations and wonderful places
This is so awesome. Loving this idea/series
That was an awesome video Brian! Great riding!
I really like the video from this setup. It gives us a better view of how rough the trail is and gives us a better, in the action feel. You need to do some more like this.
I didn’t think this was a BKXC video just by the thumbnail, but this alternate chin mount view is pretty rad.
Hey man, from Argentina. Your videos are awesome and addictive! Keep it up!
You looked real smooth out there, Brian. Nice job.
Damn, I guess I'd never seen a full run video up to now. You just kept going, and going, and going, and going. LOL. 25 minutes straight of descending seems heavenly being from Texas and all :)
Bro u r doing very much good I will keep supporting you
Doesn’t look bad at all man! Nice riding. Truly gnarly course. Would love to find some trails like that here in Brisbane.
Pedal on bother!
Really enjoy your race footage and you are always insightful when you recap with a self assessment, great post.
Great riding dude, smashed it 🤙
Good job man! There were some really good section you cleared there.
You're absolutely flying! And the chin mount worked a charm! Would've been perfect if it was tilted up a notch. And it must be so much more convenient than wearing a gimbal and having to worry about all that extra crap.
I cannot wait to come to whistler for the first time next year. This place looks like it has trails for everyone!
That was awesome Brian, keep shredding.
Nice send even with the left-right debockle! Good job bro!!!!!
So cool Brian epic run chin mount was good tbh loved it
That was such a Gnarly ride...I was getting scared just watching....hahaha...Well done...you killed it...
Well done, i think you did well on this one. Important part is that you manage to go pass those that came pass you. 👍🏻 great video too.
loving the chin mount view less things to worry about just power bank battery pack and a wind cover over go pro its awesome been using this set up for a while i love it nice one brian
