  • Dr. Moutri's Synchrony 2023 talk outlines how brain organoids show similarities with fetal human brain on molecular, cellular and anatomic level and how organoids, especially when cultivated under microgravity conditions, can reveal novel therapeutic targets and serve as a powerful pre-clinical tool for autism.
Alysson R Muotri PhD is professor of pediatrics and of cellular and molecular medicine at Director, Stem Cell Program University of California San Diego. His research focuses on human brain development and evolution by modeling neurological diseases such as autism by using human induced pluripotent stem cells and brain organoids.
🎥 This talk was part of Synchrony 2023 Online Symposium - 'From Bench to Biopharma', organised by the The BRAIN Foundation
