Nasty challenging wind, good decision to Go-Around, well done crew.
Arnt those pilots amazing? I always worry when taking off and landing but these guys are so incredibly skilled at what they do! Great footage! ✈️
Totally agree with you Michelle , the pilots are the real Angels of the skies 👍👩✈️👨✈️
@@AirportAction Absolutely!! 😃👍
I thought he was slow getting the gear up, it was up before he banked right, just as you mentioned it. Nice catch as always. 👍👍
Thanks Robert👍
Looked like a touch of wind shear .
woooah nelly
When was attempting to land, and dipping its wings, it reminded me of the instructions John was giving to Michelle and yourself in the flight simulator. Great capture of the Kev, thank you!
Thank you Frederick , funnily enough , that's what i was thinking as i edited this clip 👍
@@AirportAction Great minds think alike!
Noon time here from Vancouver
Good evening. To from Canada
No gear down, it was wingtip!
Textbook Windshear escape manoever. With that weather and especially BHX based crew, they’re more than ready for it and well practiced. The 737-800 is a fine machine but hampered in crosswind somewhat by its lineage. Look closely, the flaps outer edge is only half wingspan. This is because although a different shape, the aileron system is the same as the -300. So the ailerons are quite inboard. Less leverage there! The small flap area means a high landing speed and fin so far back gives more leverage so you get plenty of rudder control but minimal aileron. The limits are set safely so it’s no issue flying it to the set 33kt crosswind limit. You do have to land sideways though- the aircraft is very tolerant of this! ( Unlike a Q400 that shudders like a nasty earthquake if it’s even 1 degree off the runway QDM). I miss the mighty Dash! So much control and authority in all three axes so made beasting it in strong gusty winds fun. The 737 is not really as much fun… but is a capable and strong machine.
A beautiful sight..Jxx 💐🇬🇧🌺
Classic Windshear Escape there. Gear and Flaps left in present configuration for a while and no corrections to follow the centreline. Excellent piloting
Excellent piloting indeed AviationUpclose , thanks for watching 👍
WindShear Cause he kept gear down to control the aircraft safest option to do
Kev, your camcorder was working fine earlier. I believe the issue was more with some viewers internet than your equipment. I’d suggest getting a few trusted subscribers/mods/friends opinions before restarting your camera.
It’s great you’re so passionate about your channel. Bravo!
Everything was fine on mine too
Thank you for the feedback iDigidude 👍, having watched the last part of the stream back , we could also see the jidder , but we should be good today 👍
Amazing video love the sound shame you can't hear the atc .
Thank you Harmony , it is a shame we can't broadcast ATC in the UK on streams 👍
I suppise he left landing gear down cos ge would need them five minutes later i dont suppose it was worth putting up plus if he retractedgearthen put them down again would ge gave to do any check lists again
