- I am finally finished with my DIY dream closet makeover!! I was able to build this entire closet on a budget with the help of one Ikea hack (Tarva Dresser). Take a tour of our beautiful walk in closet. I grew up a carpenters daughter and later joined the Army National Guard as carpenter. I’m obsessed with DIY projects and everything home related. 2 years later and this 3 part DIY closet make over is going to help me a lot. I knew that it is possible to design and create my own closet. I love how detailed your explanations are. I will definitely try and show the end result when I am done.

Thank you for the detail posts on this closet makeover. After weeks of decision making between my wife and I, we decided to DIY (self) using your videos as a guide and reference. I was able to finish our project in 5-7 days working 3-6 hours per day. Despite the extreme costs of wood, we saved 75% of any custom (allegedly) company small and big.

Hi @Home With Stefani I just found your video (part 1). As I’m looking to redo my master bedroom closet EVERYTHING you mentioned about the PAX system from IKEA vs other closet companies is absolutely true! May I also add that, as of this date, IKEA’s PAX products (as well as many other products from IKEA) are out of stock. I was at IKEA yesterday and the “estimated” time of delivery for PAX is “this winter”. I watched the entire series of your closet build and it is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. New sub here.

@@HomeWithStefani I've done many big projects both inside & outside. Most difficult was a winding stone walkway out of pond stone & concrete. 3/4 way, I had to drive myself but it turned out great. All big projects require research, design, planning, hard work & determination. You built an amazing closet! Only thing you missed was using knee pads, lol. Thank you for sharing, I really enjoyed watching! You did every step like a seasoned pro! It's absolutely perfect with high end finishing touches! Looking forward to watching what ever you do next. Oh! And I love how you remove the door because it just wasn’t necessary to have one there! Did you remove the hinges and spackle and reinforce the inserts? You simply don’t need a door there, do you want people to walk in and see the work that you’ve done without having to direct them to that area by opening any doors! Wonderful work I’m so proud of you
