bro, I just turned 28 and I been skating for about 2 months (had 3 weeks off because i busted my ass lol) and i freaking LOVE it. There's just this feeling i've never felt with anything else. keep at it man.
I’ve been watching this video for years and I have to say it is probably one of my favorite videos on YT. I don’t skate but this is just so fun. You have friends enjoying life, not on their phones. You have good music to go along with cool shots of people skating. And then to end it, then go to a cool gallery to look at art. This really is a perfect vid to me.

My favorite skater right now. Ben is so cool, I love his style and approach to skating. Very similar to my style: "cruising, meeting up with friends, doing the tricks your good at" fun is what it's all about!

Narly, takes me back, early 70''s to late 70's, start at haight & clayton cruise all day on spring steel, aluminum alloy banzai board w/ california slalom trucks & kryptonic wheels, jumping curbs, mostley rode streets, weaving in & outta traffic, downhill racing, ten speeds eating my dust:), rode funny footed, burning rubber off my keds, 55 now & still ride them hills in my dreams, my wheels singing shhhhhhh....:) thanks.
All skaters know what's up. If you're not skating, how do you have fun? Some people don't like us because we are having the times of our lives.
_ Justinlbdr _ was most fun i ever had on 2 feet, still would if i could, my bones don't break, they shatter & doesn't take much, even back then docs wanted me to give up my board, i didn't, till i was in my late 20's, many screws, plates later i gave in but still live vicariously through all of you:).

THIS is what skateboarding should be about imho; atually riding around through the city and not being at the same shitty skatepark / spot all day, every day..

+Do you even Rift Preach it man. Sadly enough, lots of people live in the east coast, where a small majority of people don't live in a downtown area. Even then, it's just roads around for the lot of us, and if they aren't crapily paved, its like 30 minutes of pushing between each spot. The only place to skate for a lot of people where you feel like you're cruising around is between classes at college.
+Luke Franse I feel ya! I'm From MA and people think "Oh but you have Boston" but it's actually pretty far from where I live, and the spots here either suck or too big for most of us.

I agree, but at the same time being at the same spot or skatepark all day every day is how you get good enough to just ride through a city skating spots

natives don't live in SF anymore because of the price. I'm from there and most of the people I know have been pushed out due to cost of living :( rent is a bitch as well as income tax and general cost of living, plus it's a huge techie place in the Bay Area now😪 really sucks as it's such an amazing place to be but you really need money to be able to afford it

I'm not from there and I already knew that, any cool place in California is a bitch to live. You gotta live on the outskirts and just visit because you'll be poor like most Californians just making enough to barely eat.
I'm from Georgia and my girlfriend is from SF. Bay Area is so cool and beautiful but I wanna make enough money before I live there, if anything it's a place to retire and settle down at once you've made your money.
I love skateboarding because it sends you on little adventures like this, I would love to have more skate friends 😂😭

I came back from San Fransisco 4 days ago, stayed there for 4 days, GREAT city.. skated 3 up 3 down, EMB and Pier 7.
what i like about skaters and skating is that its all so chill man. i think people these days needs more chillness.

At 3:00 he talks about how it's not a city to do crazy tricks its about the tricks you know and having fun with it... I totally agree... I never noticed that though until he said it. I see SoCal skater doing like, switch blunts switch f/s flips out and crazy stuff but that type of skating never came into my style.

I live in New Zealand, literally no skate stoppers, cops are super chill and everyone is cool with you skating. It's great

SF is the one city I feel I would love to move to If I were to move to the US. It's much more chilled than anywhere else I've been , and I love the relaxed attitude towards skating, and that theres natural spots everywhere... Skated there 10 yrs ago, and wanna go back. (rip pier 7) ... one day
San Fran seems like the perfect place to do what Ben was talking about, just cruise around with some friends and see what you can make of it. Gotta make my way down there someday.
San Francisco skaters are a combination of downhill longboarding and regular skating. The best of both worlds.
Ben has the coolest style, hands down.

This is what makes skateboarding so attractive. Man... Those smooth as landings. However it's really dangerous. I just spranged my ankle and went to the ER doing an ollie.
I wished I lived in a smooth city like this where you can actually ride from one spot to the next

i was skating down emb the other day and saw carlos young shooting a line. i think it was 3 shuv, k grind a curved bench. i don't really remember the line but i just remember being totally stoked to see him skate.

ben gore is sick! i recently purchased his stereo vinyl deck in yellow (with hypno glasses) and i love it. really nice guy!
i wish i never stop skating. every single day i regret quitin' becuase i would love to be able to skate the way i use too and have fun going to downtown LA for the day or just cruise where ever the road goes and try sjate anything.

When visiting my aunt there, i noticed the sake scene was very different. It was much more chill and fun oriented. Here in dallas, it seems much more competitive and only about dropping huge tricks down every spot. It's still fun though :)
Now I really want to go to San Francisco and skate, I have a longboard, and San Francisco looks perfect for down hill, but I would also love to try long board dance, the hill there are really slope, but definitely a nice city, been there a few time, it give show a nice vibe

I've heard Cali in general is expensive. Still looks like a fun place. I've been to SF before and loved it (especially compared to where I live now). If I can ever get the money I will move there at some point in my life.
